The girls and I are currently upstairs of the Conjuring house while the boys were downstairs doing an estes method.
I was honestly nervous for them being downstairs by themselves. This place was a lot scarier than Lizzie Bordens house.
Before coming here, I was a skeptic, but after everything that happened, I for sure believe in spirits.
Amanda has been super sweet and smart about all of this stuff. As we sat there and talked, I looked out the window.
My heart dropped when I saw someone walk past it. It looked like a little kid. I jump out of my spot and back away.
"What just happened?" Kat asked with worry all over her voice. My heart was racing in my chest.
"I swear, I just saw a child walk past the window." I tell the girls. Stas dropped her jaw towards me.
I nodded my head towards her. Amanda was shaking her head while I started to come down.
I've never seen anything like that before. It was honestly super freaky. It took them a couple minutes to calm me down.
"Are you okay?" Stas asked once I had calmed down. I nodded my head towards her.
"Yeah, it just freaked me out." Before I could sit down, we heard the basement door jingle.
We all look at each other weirdly and start to head to the door. It was randomly locked so I went to open it for them.
When I did, they both looked terrified. "Did you guys lock the door?" Sam asked looking between us girls.
"No, we've been in the seance room." We tell them. I kept my eyes on Colby as he came out from the basement.
He looked so scared, I was worried for him. I wonder what happened down there.
We talked about it for a few minutes and we figured it was best we leave. The sun was rising as we walked out.
We leave the house and head to the hotel. Seeing that child was honestly pretty scary.
I know it was the one we were all seeing. I was sitting in the back of the car with Stas.
I didn't know how exhausting this stuff was going to be. We all checked into the hotel, getting two rooms.
One for us girls, the other for the boys. We all changed and laid down in bed so we can sleep for a few hours.
That's the thing about me, I can't sleep. After an hour of staring at the ceiling, I figured I would get up and leave.
As I'm walking out of the room, I see Colby walking out of his room too. "Can't sleep either?" I ask grabbing his attention.
He looked at me sadly and nodded his head. "I was going to walk around. Do you wanna join?" He asked as I nodded my head.
We walked towards the elevator in silence so we could go to the lobby. I was tired but I couldn't sleep.
"I figured if you wanted, we could go to IHop and eat breakfast." Colby rasped towards me.
I scrunch my nose towards him. "What would you say if I told you I didn't like breakfast?" Colby droped his jaw towards me.
I giggled as I look at his surprised face. "What?" He asked surprised. "You don't like breakfast food?" He was trying to wrap his head around it.
"I never have." I shrug towards him. He starts shaking his head towards me.
"I don't care what you say, I'm taking you to IHop." Colby tells me when the elevator stops.
I look at him in shock, not wanting to believe it. I watched him as he walks out the elevator.
He turns to see if I'm following him or not. "You coming?" He asked with a slight smile.
The fear of being left in the elevator is the reason why I walk out of it.
"If you make me eat at IHop, I'm going to throw up on your Air Forces." I half threaten.
He just laughs knowing I won't do it. "If you vomit on my shoes, I'm going to make you clean it." We get into the rental car.
"That sucks cause I'm going to let it soak into your shoes." I tell him. I don't know if it's the lack of sleep, but this is super funny.
He looks at me weirdly while starting the car. "If you do that, I'm gonna piss on your dashboard when we get back." I drop my jaw.
"You're never going in my car again. You have to drive me around town." I joke with him as he drives down the road.
I kept my eyes on him as he drove. His side profile is super good looking.
"I'm not driving you around if you throw up on me." Colby laughs. Damn, we basically went in a full circle.
I just cross my arms while looking outside. "Fine, I'm not eating." I should, I'm starving.
Out of the corner of my eye, I can see him shake his head. "You're stubborn." He mumbled.
We didn't say much the rest of the drive to IHop. When we get there, we pull into a parking spot and go inside.
"Just the two of you today?" The hostess smiled when we walked in. I stay behind Colby, not really wanting to be here.
At least I'm getting alone time with Colby. He nodded his head and so we followed her to a table.
We thank her while sitting down at a table. Colby picked up his menu while I just looked at it.
He looked at me with his eyebrow raised. "You're really not going to eat, are you?" He asked as I shook my head no.
He sighed as he scanned his menu. "I hope you like pancakes." I roll my eyes towards him. The waiter came over and asked for our drinks.
We both ordered water so he went to get them for us. It was a comfortable silence for us.
When he came back, Colby said he was ready to order. He ordered two regular pancakes and french toast.
Before I could say anything, he ordered for me. "She'll take the two by two by two with french toast." The waitor smiled while writing it down.
He takes our menus from us and then walks away. I glare at Colby as he leans back in his chair.
"Be mad at me all you want, Ash. This food is going to change your views on everything." He cockily smiled.
No matter how upset I was that he drug me here, I couldn't stay mad at him.
Especially after the night we had. "Is ghost hunting usually that scary?" I ask hinting last night.
He finishes sipping his water to answer. "It honestly depends on where we go. Last night was one of the scariest."
I chewed on my lip while thinking of the kid that I saw. It really did look like a little boy.
"You okay?" He asked causing me to look at him. I nod my head even though it's a lie.
"I just keep thinking of the kid I saw, the same one Stas saw." He frowned while I spoke.
Every time I closed my eyes, I saw the little boy. "I'm sorry I wasn't there to help." He apologized.
I started shaking my head towards him. "I'm sorry I wasn't there in the basement with you." It was his turn to shake his head.
"I'm happy you weren't down there with me. It was scary." He remembered back.
I honestly can't wait to see the footage. We talk about the past couple of nights while we wait for the food.
When it arrives, they hand me my plate causing me to fake a smile and thank them.
Once they're away, Colby had a playful smile on his face. I didn't even know where to start on the food.
I guess I have to try it. I poured some syrup on the pancakes while he stared at me. "Your stare is making me uncomfortable." I tell him.
"It's cause of my good looks, right?" I roll my eyes while I cut into the pancake.
I was honestly scared to try it. I take a deep breath while sticking the food in my mouth.
I started chewing the food, Colby staring at me with hope on his face. "So?" He asked dragging it out.
"I hate to admit it, but this is actually pretty good." He started smiling widely towards me.
"Point, Colby." He hyped himself up. I just roll my eyes while I continue to eat.
I couldn't tell if it's actually good or I was just starving. Breakfast was honestly super fun.
Breakfast with Colby was probably my favorite part.
