Midoriya had prepared himself for his first day of class. He'd been looking all over the place for classroom 1-A. After finding it and swallowing his fear, he'd hope to find his friend in the class. Unfortunately for him, he didn't see him.
Midoriya: *Where's Ryu-chan? Did he not get in? No, he's probably just late.*
A worried look made its way onto Midoriya's face. He pulled out his phone and dialed. After a few seconds, he heard a voice on the other line.
???: Hey Izu-chan.
Midoriya: Ryu-chan! The first day of classes are today! Where are you? I've been trying to look for you this whole time and-
Ryukin: Right. About that, look Izu-chan, I gave it my best shot and all but.
There was a slight pause
Ryukin: *Sigh* Look just have a good day and goodluck. Don't worry about me alright?
Midoriya eyes widened as he realized what he meant. He couldn't help but feel sorry.
Midoriya: W-wait. Ryu-chan, you didn't get-
Ryukin: No. No I didn't. But don't worry about me. You got your things going on. Don't worry about me. I'll see you around Izu-chan.
Midoriya heard the line cut from the other end and couldn't help but feel a mixture of emotions. On one hand, he got into U.A., on the other hand Ryukin wasn't here with him.
Timeskip
Ryukin had been sitting in a restaurant, he was able to gather some pocket change for a small meal. His appearance was very disheveled. His eyes looked tired and his hair was messier. He was minding his own business and was walking out. While on the streets, a giant had bumped into him. He towered over Ryukin.
???: Watch where you're walkin'.
Ryukin: Could say the same for you.
???: I think you owe me an apology. So how bout it?
Ryukin: You're the one who bumped into me.
???: What exactly are you doing Rappa?
The giant turned to face a tall, slim man with short, spiky hair of a pale color.
Rappa: The hell you doin here? Go away.
???: Master Overhaul would be displeased if he caught wind of you picking a fight with random thug.
Rappa: Screw that, I ain't leaving till I feel this guy's quirk.
Ryukin: I ain't got one. So whatever business you got with me is over.
The two men looked at him with differing looks. The giant named Rappa was shocked while the smaller man, looked intrigued.
Rappa: Bullshit! I fought a guy who said the same thing! Bastard was just hiding it. C'mon show me.
???: Stand down Rappa.
The man points to Ryukin
???: You say you're quirkless, correct? What's your name?
Ryukin nods with a look of suspicion. By the sound of these guys, nothing good can come of it.
Ryukin: Like I'd tell you.
Rappa was about to step forward but the smaller man stopped him.
???: If what you say is true, why don't you come with us?
Ryukin: Look pal, I don't know who you are or who that giant is. But I'm out of here.
Ryukin collects himself and prepared to leave.
???: Please, allow us to help you.
Ryukin looks back, more agitated than before.
Ryukin: I said I'm not interested in whatever the hell you got going on. I said no and that's it.
Ryukin leaves
Rappa: Hey Hekiji-
Hekiji: Don't worry, Master will be very pleased once he finds out about him.
Ryukin looks around to get a grasp of time. He found a TV that was showing the time displayed and it was 3:00. He pulled o his phone and dialed.
Ryukin: Yo Izu-chan.
Midoriya: Hey Ryu-chan!
Ryukin: You done with classes?
Midoriya: Yeah we just finished for the day. It was pretty intense.
Ryukin: That right? Well I'll meet you over there. I got time to kill.
Midoriya: Oh ok, sounds good to me. I'll see you Ryu-chan.
Timeskip
Ryukin was waiting outside of the gates of U.A. It had been 5 minutes and while waiting he heard a familiar voice.
???: Uh... my real name is Izuku, but D-Deku is what Kacchan calls me to make fun of me..
???: An insult?
???: Oh, is that right? Sorry!
Ryukin: Y'know, Izu-chan doesn't sound too bad either.
The group looked Ryukin's direction and Midoriya immediately ran to him.
Midoriya: Ryu-chan! What happened to you? You look so-
???: Messy?
???: Disordered?
Ryukin: Yeah it's been quite the days. Looking for something to get me by. Waiting for another school to hopefully pick me up.
Ryukin looked at the blue haired boy with glasses.
Ryukin: Hey you.
???: Huh?
Ryukin: I remember you. You're the guy from when we were waiting for our battle center.
???: I see, I remember you now as well. You're the guy who brought all that gear with you. Apologies from before, I'm Iida. Tenya Iida.
The two shook hands
Ryukin: Takechi Ryukin.
The short brown-haired girl looked at Ryukin and waved.
???: I'm Ochacko Uraraka.
Ryukin: I'm assuming y'all are UA students too.
Uraraka and Iida both nodded. The four began to walk.
Iida: Hey Midoriya, how's your finger?
Midoriya: All better thanks to Recovery Girl.
Uraraka: That was so cool! What's your quirk exactly?
Midoriya began stuttering. Ryukin continued to walk with them but he froze mentally.
Ryukin: *Q-quirk? But Izu doesn't have one. He never did, I remember.*
Ryukin continues to walk until Uraraka snaps him out of his stupor.
Uraraka: Hey Ryukin.
Ryukin: Huh?
Uraraka: I was asking you if you knew anything about Deku's quirk?
Ryukin: Can't say I have. Say Izu-chan, when did you ever have one?
The green haired boy jumped up and began stuttering and mumbling.
Midoriya: W-well - I - you see-
Ryukin: Don't worry about it. Just messing with you.
Iida: Midoriya-san, I never asked. How did you and Ryukin meet?
Midorya: Oh I remember it was in primary school!
Ryukin: Yeah, me and Izu-chan go way back. I remember my old man was always making us visit.
Midoriya: Hey speaking of which, my mom wants you to visit more often Ryu-chan. You sure you don't wanna move in?
Ryukin: I love you and your mother but I told you guys, I don't wanna be a bother.
Iida: Wait move in? Ryukin if I may, where do you live? Also what's your quirk?
Ryukin stopped walking ahead and turned to face Iida and Uraraka.
Ryukin: I don't have one. Why do think I'm not in the building with you guys? Living wise, I stay where I can.
Uraraka: Wait you didn't get in?
Ryukin: Nah not easy for null types to get in.
While feint, Ryukin looked up and a tear dropped from his face.
Ryukin: There was a lot in me y'know. I thought if I tried hard enough I can get in.
He shakes his head
Ryukin: Sorry about that. Didn't mean to a downer.
The three looked at Ryukin with worried looks. Midorya especially felt the worst.
Ryukin begins to walk. He motions for them to follow.
Ryukin: Don't you guys have to get to the station? Trains comin soon.
Elsewhere
Rappa and Hekiji were sitting at table across from a shadow. The only thing that could be seen was magenta plague mask.
Rappa: I knew he was him from the start.
Hekiji: Did you really or was it because I had to calm you down?
Rappa: Hey piss off. I wasn't gonna really fight the kid.
Hekiji: Watch your tongue, especially in front of the master. Master, what should we do now?
The man or thing, takes a deep breath and begins to speak.
???: Send more men to scout. I want you and Rappa to go and bring him. I want him alive. Treat him like a guest, if he refuses, well then show him what happens when you deny the Hassaikai.
