"LEAVE THEM ALONE!!"
Revchi, Yuno and Y/n all saw Asta crash into a wall. He immediately got up and pointed a finger at Revchi
"NEVER TOUCH A GIRL WITHOUT HER PERMISSION!"

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!" Asta yells. "I'VE COME TO RESCUE...."
His voice trails off when he notices the two nobles/royals trapped in chains. He turns back to Revchi
"HEY CREEP! WHAT'S YOUR DEAL?! Hey that's Yuno and Y'n's grimoires. What are you doing with them?"
"Why look, its the sad little boy who didn't get a grimoire," Revchi turned to face Asta
"Yeah that's right. I'm the poor empty handed kid. But the only place a grimoire belongs is with its master! So give them back to Y/n and Yuno," Asta said
Revchi just laughed
"You really are a sheltered creature if you believe that kind of reasoning will get you anywhere if me," Revchi grinned
Revchi's grimoire flipped a few pages before it started glowing
"Asta run!" Yuno yelled at the boy
"From a waste of space like him?" Asta asked while sprinting towards Revchi. "NOW A CHANCE IN HELL!"
Multiple chains shot towards Asta but he dodged each one with ease. He jumped behind Revchi and sent a punch to his back but it didn't make contact. What Asta failed to notice was a chain behind him that wrapped around his torso, which stopped him from landing his punch
"I'LL GET YOU," Asta groaned while struggling against the chains but he did manage to take a step forward
"No boy. You're finished here," Revchi said as his grimoire flipped to the next page
"DANCE OF THE PITLESS VIPER!"
Multiple chains stabbed Asta as more kept coming
'That's one serious attack,' Asta thought as he was slammed into the wall behind him. 'So this is what mages outside of the village can do. As much as I've trained my body, I don't stand a chance'
"You see boy, it's no use," Revchi said, putting his foot on Asta's shoulder. "Thanks for playing though."
"It's not over. I'm not done. I will be the wizard king," Asta groaned
Y/n, one again, smiled at his determination
"The wizard king? You're joking," Revchi laughed. "In a world where magic is everything, if you dont have any magic, you're nothing."
'If that's true, no matter how hard I push myself, I'll never be able to use magic,' Asta thought
"You know, I really cant think of anything more pitiful," Revchi said. "I bet your friends over there are having a good laugh at your expense right now."
"Yeah maybe," Asta said
'Yuno's so great, the four leaf clover chose him. Even Y/n already had a grimoire and its also a four leaf'
"The world has no use for someone like you, a poor magicless fool. You should just give it all up right now loser," Revchi said
'Yeah he's right. No matter how hard I try, I guess there are some things that aren't possible. So i might as well give-'
"HEY! WHO ARE YOU CALLING A LOSER?"
Y/n turned her head to look at Yuno next to her
"It's true that you aren't going to become the wizard king," Yuno explained
'Ouch' Y/n thought
"Not ever," Yuno continued
'Double ouch'
"You hear that? Even your little friend knows it's impossible," Revchi laughed again
"That's because I'm going to be the wizard king!" Yuno finished
"What?" Revchi questioned, turning to the dark haired male
"You're wrong about Asta, Revchi. Very wrong," Yuno replied. "Asta's no loser. He's my rival!"
"You! Get off of me!"
Y/n's attention turned back to Asta, who grabbed Revchi's leg that was still pressing on his shoulder. Revchi took his foot off and backed away, now slightly scared
"Sorry you had to see me like that Yuno. You too Y/n," Asta said softly. "Just gimme a second. That's all. Then I'll destroy this guy!
The atmosphere suddenly changed and Y/n could feel a dark presence hanging in the air. Yuno looked over at her to make sure she was okay and saw her staring at Asta
"Y/n? Is everything okay?" he questioned
"Look," Y/n replied, not taking her eyes off Asta
Yuno looked back towards the green eyed boy and he too felt the presence. A black five leaf clover grimoire floated down in front of Asta
"The first 3 leaves on a clover represent hope, integrity and love," Y/n says to no one in particular, but Yuno listens. "The fourth leaf represents good luck. And in the fifth-"
Y/n pauses for a second
"-resides a devil"
Revchi's chains disapear and Yuno and Y/n stare at Asta
"Is that a grimoire?" Asta asks to himself, staring at the book in front of him
"I knew it. Like you wouldn't be chosen Asta," Yuno says, a small smile forming
The grimoire opens and out comes a black sword. Asta, Yuno, and Y/n all follow it with their eyes as it rises into the air before coming down and sticking into the ground next to Asta
"But I checked, and you didn't have any magic power!" Revchi exclaimes. 'How could you be granted a grimoire?!"
Asta stands up and grabs the swords handle
'You always have a way of making the impossible possible' Yuno thinks
"WHAT KIND OF FREAK OF NATURE ARE YOU?!" Revchi yells
Asta easily pulls the sword out of the ground as Revchi yells and more chains form behind him and shoot towards Asta. Said boy slices the air once and immediately, every chain vanishes
"You took my spell and turned it into your magic power!" Revchi cries
Asta launches towards Revchi with incredible speed, his hew sword ready
"Even without traditional magic power, I will be the wizard king!" Asta declares, bringing his sword back, ready to strike
"MY MAGIC IS NEVER GIVING UP!"
Asta swings his sword a Revchi, sending him flying into the stone wall behind him. The smoke clears and Revchi is sitting against the wall, not moving
"I always figured that if I can't use magic, I can use my body," Asta groans. "I trained to build up strength and it looks like it's finally paid off."
"Asta"
Said boy turns to the sound of the voice to find Yuno and Y/n free of the chains, both of them smiling. Y/n runs up to Asta, hugging him tightly
"That was amazing Asta," the girl exclaimes
The boy's face flushes a light pink, which doesn't go unnoticed by the dark haired male, who gets a little jealous
"Check it out you guys! I got a snazzy new grimoire," Asta grins happily. "It's a little beat up but I'll treasure it forever!"
"Wow. You saved me yet again," Yuno says while walking past Asta. "I will repay my debt someday."
Yuno stopped, looking at the sun rise behind the demon skull
"Asta, we made a promise. Do you remember it?" Yuno asks
"i actually can't believe you remember it," Asta replied, rubbing the back of his neck
"Like I'd be friendly with someone I consider my rival," Yuno says. "You showed me it was possible. Gave me hope that even though we're poor orphans, commoners, we can still make something of ourselves in this world."
Y/n stayed where she stood, watching the scene unfold between the two boys, a soft smile forming
"And to prove that-" Yuno started
"-to make Sister Lily and everyone else happy-" Asta continued
Both boys held out their fist and connected it to the other
"-we will fight to see who will be the wizard king. Whatever it takes," they finished together
'This is going to be a very eventful Magic Knights Entrance Exam,' Y/n thought
