Phoenix's pov
*da dam da do do da da da dooo~*
I opened my eyes groggily. The steel Samerai theme played through my alarm clock. I groaned in annoyance. Damnit maya!
I turned the alarm off and put on my signature blue suit. Ok it's time for business!
Hi there. My name is phoenix Wright and I'm a attorney at law. I run my own law office after my boss Mia passed away. I'm kinda a guy down on my luck but it's all bad. At least I have friends I can rely on.
"good morning nick!" my assistant maya said brightly.
"don't good morning nick me!" I growled "I can't believe you changed my alarm clock!"
"oh come on nick. It sounds way cooler now" maya argued.
"first my ringtone now my alarm clock. I'm never going to get that stupid ringtone out of my head!" I growled.
"oh quit being a grump and eat up" maya placed a breakfast in front of me.
"thank you" I sighed. If there's one thing I'm greatful for it's mayas cooking. I'd been living off instant ramin noodles before she came along!
I finished my breakfast and headed to my office. Maya was sitting in front of the TV watching the Steel Samerai with an excited look on her face. I shook my head fondly. She's just like a little kid!
I tapped my fingers on the desk restlessly. The worst thing about this job is definitely waiting around for clients but hey you gotta pay the bills somehow!
My eyes landed on a picture on the desk. It was a photo me, Miles and larry took when we were kids. I smiled softly. Miles Edgeworth. He is my childhood best friend and my rival in the courtroom. It's true that we've had some bumps in the road but things are good between us now. In fact I don't know what I'd do if he wasn't in my life.
"hey nick" my head shot up to see mayas sly smile "you're daydreaming again dummy!"
"oh sorry" I muttered bashfully. Why do I always get lost in thought when I'm thinking of Edgeworth?
"come on nick get your head in the game" maya giggled "we've got a client!"
