While she is technically an angel now she retains her humanity and can speak, interact with people and stay by her daughter's side
While she knows that Yoshino is technically a split personality she still treats her like her own child
She can stay human size but can grow to the size of a skyscraper if needed

The reason why the spirits have a more Japanese aesthetic and more powerful angels is that when Westcott created the first spirit it also absorbed Shin's/Ernesti's mana which happened to be his Japanese side that was absorbed giving the angels way more power than they originally had due to shin's immense power and mana
But in cases like Nia ,Natsumi, and Yoshino they were given an astral dress that was either related to the Japanese or because of some fae energies that were also absorbed to create mio
