"Happy trails prospector" Woody salutes him off.
"Buzz, Woody!" Slink calls out, the 3 of us turning to see what the panic is
"Y/n! Help us out here!"
Focusing on what the problem is we see the horse, Bullseye and the cowgirl, Jessie wedging themselves out of the hard green case.
Rex tries encouraging her "hurry!"
"Oh no, Jessie!" Woody mumbles to himself as we dash over to help her
Potato head was holding up the lid by standing on Hamm along with Rex on the other side, but just not high enough. Jessie was stuck and overwhelmed as the case slowly got closer and closer to the ramp leading to the outside.
Buzz and Woody attempt to grab the case to stop it from sliding down the ramp leading to the outside as I grab her hands, ready to pull her out to safety.
But we are too late.
The case tips over and everyone retreats to the side panels that aren't connected to the conveyer belt.
Except me.
Along with Jessie in the case I'm pulled down the ramp, In desperation I clutch the side barrier of the ramp and watch in horror as Jessie gets shoved back into the case and chucked onto the luggage truck.
Behind me I hear a sharp whistle followed shortly by "ride like the wind Bullseye!"
Looking over my shoulder I see Woody and Buzz on Bullseye who's sliding down the ramp towards me.
"Hop on y/n!" Woody Calls to me, holding out his hand for me to grab onto.
Woody grabs my hand tightly as they slide past as I let go of the side of the ramp, And swings me onto Bullseye in-front of of him.
The 4 of us reach the bottom and Bullseye start making his way towards the luggage truck, galloping swiftly.
"Hey, howdy, hey. Giddy-up." Woody calls
Bullseye's back really isn't designed for 3 riders, to fit and keep up the speed required to keep up with the truck, the 3 of us are leaned over. I'm quite literally being lied on by Woody.
"Come on, Bullseye. Hyah." Buzz encourages
This would be kinda awkward if we were racing to save a toy right now. But it's ok, I get to hug Bullseye.
"Buzz, give us a boost!"
Bullseye is now just keeping up with the end of the truck.
Woah wait, hold up, is, as in me too.
"Us?" I question Woody, yelling over the sound of the engine of the luggage truck.
"I need you y/n, let's go" Woody yells back, leaving no room for negotiation.
Woody climbs onto Buzz's helmet and leaps towards a bag tag, I climb up second and take a lightly leap to grab onto Woody's legs as the driver speeds up leaving Bullseye and Buzz to fall behind.
Scampering up Woodys back, I grab onto a suitcase handle and we climb onto the roof of the last carriage.
Up ahead we spot Al's green case placed behind the driver.
Together we run and leap over the first gap between the carriages, Woody stumbles as he lands. Pulling him up I drag him along before he regains himself and pushes himself along.
Throwing ourselves into the ground carriage, the driver slows down as he approaches the plane. We are so close to Al's case but so far.
We watch as our target case is picked up first by the driver and placed on another conveyor belt into the cargo pit of the plane.
"Here's the rest" the man calls out.
Looking around Woody spots a golf bag and we hide inside it. I feel our disguise move up the conveyor belt and get picked up before being tossed and land on bags.
Unzipping the zipper, we crawl out, along with golf balls and I spot the green case, placed in the corner of the cargo.
Together Woody and I jump and climb through the bags, suitcases and luggage to get to Al's case.
I shove a brown satchel away from the green case as Woody flicks the clips to lift the lid up.
Inside was Jessie, curled up into a ball, eyes close and looking uneasy.
Woody announces, as if he were a flight attendant "Excuse me, ma'am, but I believe you're on the wrong flight."
Jessie looks up, and and hops up hugging Woody. With a relived voice she simply says "Woody!"
Balancing my elbow on the edge of the case, I rest my head in the palm of my hand as I take in the moment. "Come on Jessie, it's time to take you home"
Instantly retreating her arms she questions herself all nervous "but what if Andy doesn't like me".
Swatting a hand past his face as if dismissing Jessie's idea, Woody says "Nonsense. Andy'll love you!"
Jumping into the conversation I eagerly leap forward closer putting a hand on Woody's shoulder to prop myself up and say excitedly with a stage whisper "Nonsense. Andy'll love you! Besides, he's got a little sister"
Jessie gasps "he does.." before instantly feeling reassured and eagerly fixing up her hat and grabbing the 2 of us dashing off "Why didn't you say so? Let's go!"
The 3 of us run back towards the man at the exit who was loading the luggage into the cargo. "Hold it. There's a couple more bags coming from the terminal."
The man steps down the conveyor belt and we prepare to jump.
"Okay. On three. One. Two." Woody whispers to Jessie and I as we hide behind a small round bag.
The door slams shut.
Great we're trapped.
The plane engine gains volume and the lights switch off as we stand their hopeless.
"This is bad" Woody say now starting to feel panicked
"How are we gonna get outta here!" Jessie questions looking at the sealed door.
A flash of light pulls my attention and I look over to what looks like daylight.
"Hey, hey over there, come on" I usher the Woody' roundup members
We climb up the luggage that leads to this said light and we find what must be some kind of emergency exit. Looking down it we see the front wheels of the plane.
Together we lift and pull the latch to open the door as it lifts it's self up.
Looking down at the plane wheels Jessie questions "you sure about this?"
Woody who is now already climbing down calls out "no! Let's go!"
One by one we climb down to the gears and hold on for dear life as we balance trying to find a safe way to get back to the ground safely.
Woody first, let's go of the bottom of the plane and clutches onto the axel gears that lead down closer to the wheel followed by myself then Jessie.
Slowly making our way down, everything is going smoothly until Woody slips and trips over the edge of the gear. Jessie and I grab onto his right arm as he dangerously dangles above the plane wheel.
"Hold on Woody!" Jessie cries out to him.
To make the situation worse, the once stitched seam starts to rip again and the wind blows his hat off.
In an attempt to grab it I spin round and grab onto Woody other arm as we both dangle. I am just a fingertip away from clutching the hat, before it blows off.
But to our luck, the space ranger in a shining spacesuit appears.
Buzz caught Woody's hat riding Bullseye who is able to keep up with the plane with.
"What's a cowboy without his hat?" He calls from near the tires
"Buzz!" We call.
The plane starts to approach the runway, ready to take off. We are fast running out of time, our should I say flying. 🤧
The plane starts speeding up as Woody looks around frantically. As if something has hit him he instructs Buzz on where he needs him.
"Buzz! Buzz, get behind the tires!"
Next he looks at me "Y/n! Alright, hold onto my waist"
I have no idea where he is going with this, but I trust Woody and do as requested.
As quickly as I can, I transition from holding onto this arm to clutching his waist.
Woody grabs his pull string and prepares it before lassoing it onto a nut bolt that is place in the centre between the two elongated gears holding the front wheel in place.
He successfully has it hitch on and looks up at Jessie "Jessie, let go of the plane!"
"Pardon?!" I gasp rhetorically.
Jessie as well looks down at him wide eyed "What are you crazy!"
Calmly Woody responds to her "Just pretend it's the final episode of Woody's Roundup!"
"But it was cancelled!! We never saw if you made it!" Jessie responds.
"Well let's find out together" Woody looks between the 2 of us girls.
Jessie looks from myself to Woody before closing her eyes tight and letting go.
Woody's voice box exclaims "there's a snake in my book as the 3 of of soar down, as if we were on a giant swing. Clutching each other and as dive in between the wheels and land on the back of Bullseye as Woodys pull strings let's go.
We made it!
The plane takes off into the sky leaving us behind on the runway. We watch relived as the wind blows around up, threatening Jessie's hat to fly off her head and blowing my hair messily around.
Gonna have to brush it like there's no tomorrow when we home.
Jumping off Bullseye Jessie dances around "We did it! We did it! We did it! Whoo!"
Woody hops around with her, chuckling relieved.
Taking a moment to regain myself before celebrating with the 2 roundup members as I spin around with them. "I can't believe we just pulled that off!"
Carefully stepping off Bullseye, Woodys hat in hand Buzz says "Nice ropin'! Cowboy!"
"That was definitely Woody's finest hour!" Jessie laughs as she hops onto Woody's back and spins her around.
I watch with a smile, stroking Bullseye's mane as Buzz catches Woody's attention.
Handing Woody his hat Buzz says "Your hat, partner."
In the mix of all the emotions Woody takes his hat spinning it around "Hoo-hoo!"
Above us, a gush of air and a reach could be heard as a plane comes into land over and past us.
We huddle together watching it land by.
I'm the short silence of shock Woody speaks up. I can hear the smile in his voice as he says "let's..go home."
