LIA'S POV
"So why do we have to sneak in? You can just introduce me as your friend who wants to sleep over! You're being more suspicious this way—"
"Shut up!" I rolled my eyes when he cut off my words, pulling me closer while crawling our way to their garden. It's late! And we're still crawling on the grass like some creepy robbers!
"Sht" I gasped when he suddenly pulled me to hide behind a wall when one of the guards passed by. I think his dad works in the politics that's why they have guards everywhere.
"My heart is really beating so fast right now" I muttered when our our eyes met. I fell on his lap when he pulled me up and sit on the corner. His eyes grew wide before dropping me on the ground.
"Ouch! Seriously...why are we sneaking in? Can't we just walk—"
"Listen. My father is a reserved type of person and he won't let me bring a girl, let alone sleep inside of our house without your hand in marriage"
"Y-You want my hand in marriage? Y-Yah...don't you think were too young for that?" I saw him squint his eyes shut, looking irritated.
Did I say something?
"If zombie apocalypse were to happen, you'd be safe"
"Really??! Why?" I asked, getting excited.
Is it because I'm so smart??!
"It's because zombies, go after the people's brain"
"And what does that mean?"
"You'll be safe because you clearly have none! Jesus christ! Follow my lead and stop talking before I surrender you to the guards as a trespasser" my jaw dropped from what he just said before I started to pout, crawling with him towards the garden.
"That was too personal!" I muttered which he only replied with smirk, showing his deep dimples.
"Wow! You have ladder connected to your room?" I complemented gleefuly when I saw him getting rid of the small vines that might make us slip. "I bet you like to sneak out when you were still a kid" he gave me a surprised look like as if I just guessed his future or something.
He really does look cute when he's flustered though!
"Yah! I should be the one going up first!" I whispered, pulling him back before grabbing the ladder. I was about to go up when he suddenly pulled my backpack.
"You're wearing a skirt, do you really expect me to watch you go up there? Besides, I need to open my window so I have to go in first. Move."
Right...
I pouted, slowly backing away from the ladder. "Don't leave me okay? I'll seriously scream"
"Tsk!" Was the only thing I heard from him as he climbed his way up, followed by me. I scratched my head when I only managed to sit on his window.
HOW THE HECK CAN MY FEET NOT REACH THE FLOOR? WHAT IS THIS? A GIANT'S HOUSE?
"Just how short can you be?"
"You're window is so tall okay? It's not my fault you're living like a giant! Help me~" I cooed at the last words. I heard him sigh before holding my waist and assisted me to go down.
For someone who acts cold and mean, he sure do have the hands of a gentle giant.
"CHOI SOOBIN!" I almost dropped my heart when a deep baritone voice was heard from outside the door. I couldn't even manage to take a good look around his room. Choi's eyes grew wide, slightly panicking. I hurriedly ran towards his bathroom and locked myself inside.
It sounded like his father...
"Where have you been? It's late. You're not going out and fighting with gangsters again weren't you?"
"Dad, not now"
"What do you mean not now? I'm asking you where you've been!" I bit my lip when I heard how his father slightly raised his voice. The room turned silent until I heard Choi replying.
"I went to the library, I got myself some books"
"Make sure you're telling me the truth. If only you're half as good as your brother, I wouldn't have to be like this" something tugged my heart upon hearing his words.
How can a father compare his sons, when they both clearly have different personality.
"You better ace the upcoming test. If you can't be the top 1 in your university just like your brother, atleast ace those exams" I heard the door being shut and that's when I pouted.
I didn't know his dad was like this.
People really have their own story to tell.
"He's gone, you can come out now" I went out of the bathroom with heavy steps, almost close to crying. I feel like I'm the one getting hurt. I bit my lip as our gaze met while he raised his brows upon seeing my reaction.
"Don't you dare cry. If you're sad about what he said, then you shouldn't be. I got used to that sht. You can wash up in my bathroom and these are my clothes, you can wear them since I can't ask anyone for help" I stomped my feet when he threw me the hoodie and the sweatpants.
I gazed at the mirror with a smug look as I look at what I'm wearing. His hoodie almost looked like a dress while the sweatpants looked fine
"Wah, how the heck can my hoodie almost reach your knee?" I glared at him as soon as I saw him coming out of the bathroom, drying his hair with a towel.
"Pfftt the sweatpants I had when I was kid fits you very well"
WHEN HE WAS A KID!?
I sat on the swivel chair beside me when I realized that he's smiling.
"You should smile often. It suits you better" as soon as I said that, he frowned. I rolled my eyes when he ignored what I said. My gaze dropped on his study table. It looked neat, there are reviewers, countless containers of pens and highlighters and of course, Stacked books and a very neat shelf.
People study this hard?
He went out of his room for a while so I only stayed inside and roam around his belongings. I jumped down the chair as soon as I heard the door being unlocked. He entered with a tray on his hand, full of foods.
We both ate peacefully until he handed me an ice pack.
"Your cheek is really swollen. Your sister sure do know how to slap" I laughed awkwardly at his remark before using the ice pack.
I hope this will be gone tomorrow...
"Let's sleep??" I offered as I tap the bed I was currently sitting, in which made his eyes grow wide.
Did I say something wrong?
Back in Canada my male friends used to sleep over at our living room since they're parents kicked them out for drinking too much.
"I'm so close to punching you right now. You take the bed, I'll be on the floor"
"Huh? But isn't this your bed? I should be on the floor" I argued, pulling the pillow on grip but he didn't let go and just glared at me.
Does he not know that I'm actually not scared of his glare and only sees him as a gentle giant?
"Oh come on! I slept on floors before, no need to worry—YAH!" I couldn't help but to react when he pulled the pillow but I didn't let go.
WHY WOULD I?!
We spent almost 5 minutes on taking the pillow from eachother.
"You sure are stubborn for a Thumbelina"
"You're just tall—ahh" I couldn't help but cling on his waist when he pulled too hard, causing me to lose my balance. "Sht" I heard him mutter before we both fell on the carpet.
ME ON TOP OF HIM!
"What's with all this noise—holy crap" both of us looked at the person who just entered the room. He had glasses that fits his face perfectly, a book in hand while wearing his pajamas. He was staring at us. WIDE EYED.
"W-Who's he?"
"My brother
