A week had past during the month of Tanjiro's and the other's rehabilitation. The slayers were put through grewsome training, that were given by the hashira's due to the lack of demons ever since Nezuko's conquering of the sun.
Throughout those days you also helped Uzui's wives, Suma, Makio and Hinatsuru prepare the meals for the slayers who googled eyes at you as you passed by.
It wasn't until a certain silvernette glared them down till they finally stopped gazing at you and continued eating.

[Amane] "You may enter (Y/n)."
You slid the shoji door slowly, meeting the gaze of Amane's dull eyes and worn body of the headmaster that laid on the futon.
[Y/n] "You don't have much time."
You kneeled besides him and held his purple deteriorating hand that slightly twitched at your touch.
[Kagaya] "I could say the same about you...."
Even with his deteriorating body he was still able to smile like nothing has happened..
[Kagaya] "....The time is nearing...and I hope you're prepared."
You opened your mouth to say something but with hesitation. It was as if something was clogged in your esophagus preventing you from speaking further.
Without an response from you, all was heard was silence. The headmaster chuckled tiredly, tilting his head towards you.
[Kagaya] "Do not hesitate....without your sacrafice, there would only be more deaths and loved ones at stake. Including Muichiro's if you do not..."
You clenched your fists tightly without expressing an inch of your mixed emotions.
[Y/n] "I understand, I assume you have a plan then..."
A amused grin grew on his face.
[Kagaya] "....You'd think it's too cruel."
He begins to explain the plan to you, the sacrafice of himself and his family; the reason for such a gruesome sacrafice was all to distract him, Muzan.
You chuckle coldly at the man who laid below you.
[Y/n] "You're too cruel..."
[Kagaya] "Yes...but it is what it is. Now (y/n)."
You looked at him.
[Kagaya] "After my death... I want you to separate from the others and head straight to him immediately.....do not turn back or stop."
[Y/n] "....I understand...."
You said in a lowered voice, hiding the tremble in your voice. With a heavy heart and a bittertaste in your mouth, you left the household.
On your way back you spot Giyuu standing in the middle of the bridge emotionlessly. He stared into the depths of the water, clearly in deep thoughts.
You watched him silently for a couple of minutes till he caught your gaze.
[Giyuu] "If you're here to ask me to help train the others there is no point leave."
As he began to walk away, you began following behind him.
[Y/n] "Why aren't you? Aren't you the water pillar?"
The ravenette stops in his tracks without turning around.
[Giyuu] "I am no longer the water pillar, now leave me alone."
The ravenette glared coldly at you before walking again.
[Giyuu] "You know nothing."
Your heart twinged at the fact.
[Y/n] "I would like to understand then."
You stubbornly followed him back to his hut. kneeling infront of him with a resilient expression, annoyed he scrunched up his face, glaring daggers into you.
[Giyuu] "There's no point in understanding. It won't change anything, now leave."
He turns away from you unwilling to talk to you any longer. You sigh at his reluctantance to talk and begin to stand up, but as you were standing up he caught a glimpse of your rotting feet.
Quickly, you cover it back up and stand up to your feet with a wobble.
[Y/n] "Don't tell anyone what you saw."
His navy blue hues flicker with to you concern and curiosity.
[Y/n] " I'll be coming back tomorrow."
With a smile, you turned away, exiting out his hut. Right after you left he whispered something underneath his breath.
[Giyuu] "Sabito..."
Throughout the day and night of constantly visiting Giyuu, he gradually began to open up to you slowly. He had an older sister that was slaughtered by a demon leaving him orphaned.
It wasn't until Urokodaki took him in, meeting a young boy his age named Sabito and a younger girl, Makomo. He trained under the man, with the other two childrens who quickly became friends with the ravenette.
You couldn't help but chuckle to yourself at his softened expression whenever mentioning the two.
[Y/n] "...What happened to them?..."
You asked carefully, watching his stoic expression go to a frown.
[Giyuu] "I never passed the final selection....and I was never supposed to become the water pillar. It was supposed to be him, Sabito.
But I was too weak to defeat that damn hand demon and before I knew it Sabito was standing infront of me heroically, I couldn't even watch as my consciousness slipped away.
I later then woke up, the selection was over and the news finally broke down to me that Sabito and Makomo were dead....I weeped, I mourned and asked god, how can a person like me
that can't even defeat a single demon and bailed out, really pass the selection....a unworthy fool and coward that couldn't even stay awake in their friends final moments...
.....I... am not worthy of the water pillar postion. I'm not worthy to stand equally with them. I'm not like them, I never should've placed among the demon hunters in the first place...
Now you understand me, now leave me alone."
He sighed heavily before walking away again. Your body couldn't help but move on it's own. Swiftly grabbing his wrist, stopping him from walking any further.
[Y/n] "....Are you right in the head? Sabito, Makomo protected you, Your sister Tsutako who was about to get married protected you. And what do you want to do? Die?
They entrusted your life with their's...it's...it's only best if you live on, passing on their memories and skills to your future childrens or people!
If you die....that's too cruel..selfish! So live on and do something happy for yourself Giyuu...they're still with you...show them that they can finally rest in peace seeing you happy with your life!"
The ravenette's eyes shot up with sudden realization. He held his cheek as if he's been slapped by someone while reminiscing.
[Giyuu] "I'm sorry (Y/n) I'll go train as well. Thank you..."
He smiles and wipes your brimming eyes that were filled with tears.
[Y/n] "Y-you better be sorry! Because...because..."
[Giyuu] "Yeah...."
You look up at him who wore a grateful smile.
[Giyuu] "I know, I won't think about that again."
He hugs you tightly, comforting you for a while before leaving. You make way to the butterfly mansion after a letter was given to you by Shinobu.
She gave you a stern look and waves you into her office when she noticed your arrival. Upon entering her room, it was surprisingly more messy than usual, her papers scattered all over the place.
[Shinobu] "Ok....(Y/n)."
She stares deeply into your hues, approaching closer to you. Taking off your hat slowly, which made you panic.
[Y/n] "Wait what are you doing?"
[Shinobu] "If I'm right, you should be able to walk in the sun now."
Pulling away the hat she leads the boy closer to the ray of sun. Gently pushing the boy into the sun, his breathing hitches and he clenches his eyes tightly.
To your surprise the burning sensation wasn't felt anywhere on your body. You opened your eyes slowly and smiled, turning towards the woman who smiled fondly at your energy.
[Shinobu] "You aren't quite human yet, but for the time being you can now walk in the sun."
[Y/n] "Thank you so much Shinobu."
The woman across from you smiles.
[Shinobu] " Your welcome, oh and have you came by any changes so far?.."
You avert you eyes and show the woman your legs. The sight of your rotting legs made the woman widen her eyes.
[Shinobu] "....A...A.curse...but it can't be the same one as Oyakata-sama...."
You shook your head and smiled a little.
[Y/n] "The time is coming and it seems with each day it spreads more....Shinobu-san...I'm losing what I once had as a demon..."
[Shinobu] "And what is that...?"
[Y/n] "Freedom, the ability to roam as you please...to walk."
She stands up with a frantic expression.
[Shinobu] "Then we must do something about!"
[Y/n] "....Shinobu-san....it's fine."
You held her hand, doing your best to calm the lady who sat back down in her chair, clearly stressed.
[Shinobu] "(Y/n)...no matter what happens, don't die."
She hugs you tightly into her chest for a while before pulling away.
[Y/n] "..Please keep this a secret, don't tell anyone or Muichiro please."
[Shinobu] "I understand, but please be careful during combat or anything in general that involves your legs."
She sighs deeply before standing up.
[Y/n] "Well...I know that..."
'You don't.'
Outside the infirmary stood the ravenette with turquoise hues. Who stood a couple of yards away from the infirmary. He had overheard the part about you losing the ability to walk and he frowns deeply.
