"Nari, Mira, I'm going outside for a while." said Zack as the two nod in acknowledgment.
He went out the library and took out his cigarette to smoke, not wanting the two female he was with to be aware of it. He then glared at the individuals staring at him.
'What the hell are you looking at? Never seen a smoker before?'
"Hello."
Zack jumped in shock when a middle aged woman approached him. He then hid his cigarette from the aunt's view.
"Yes?" he answered amidst surprise.
"May I ask for a direction?"
"Oh yes ma'am!"
"Oh there? Go straight that way, ma'am."
"Oh.. It's a bit far."
"Yes, that's true."
Unbeknownst to him, the two female were observing him from inside with a smile formed on their lips as he answered the auntie politely. Zack continued answering even with his cigarette burnt out.
"Oh, thank you."
"Good bye ma'am."
"Lol, so the wussy is polite."
"Loser hehe."
Intruded some unfamiliar voices as soon as the middle aged lady left. Zack did a rotate only to be met with some faces he saw last night.
"Hey. Call all your fucking friends from before."
Mira went back to eating as Nari continued watching the scene seeing the unfamiliar guys cackle over something Zack said. It wasn't a friendly laugh, they were obviously making fun of the lad.
"Who the fuck are those?"
"Hmm Nari?"
"Oh nothing. Imma fetch Zack down there real quick."
Nari stood up and came face to face with Zack himself.
"Nari? You going somewhere?"
"How tf-"
"Oh you're back?" asked Mira.
"Yeah, you two want something to drink?"
"I'll have a soda."
"Nari?"
"A water will be fine. Cold please."
"Okay"
'I swear he was just down there a minute ago-'
Zack walked away with Nari watching his form. She stood up when she saw the same group of people cutting in line and trying to start a scene with Zack. She approached them and then held Zack's balled fist.
"Hey, your hand is turning pale white. Stop squeezing it."
"N-nari!"
"Are they starting a fight?"
"No, no. No one's starting a fight. Let's just go inside." answered Zack whilst pushing Nari gently.
"This turd is playing nice in front of his girl."
"Wtf. She's way too pretty for him."
"She's out of his league. Heh."
"Miraaa I'm hungry!!" Nari whined to the other female.
"What?! We just ate a while ago!"
"So what, I'm still hungry. I'll be right back then."
She stood up and went on her way to the vending machine only to spot her boxer of a friend sitting next to it looking pissed.
'Probably because of those guys again.'
She sighed and decided to sit next to the male, who jumped by the sudden company.
"You look pissed. What happened?"
"W-wha? Nothing! Nothing happened! Why do you mean pissed? Hah!" Zack answered rather frantically.
"I don't believe you one bit. Were those guys trying to start something?" The female asked with her arms crossed.
"Start something? No not at all!"
He smiled warmly and innocently until a hand landed on his perfectly done hair which probably took him almost an hour to do.
'My hair! It took me 40 minutes...'
[ Yep, that's what I said. Like, why would Zack even do his hair for 40 minutes when he look ethereal with his hair down like damn homeboy is effortlessly handsome. Get that fucking gel out of Lookism. ]
The group laughed and mocked the male with Zack earning some looks of sympathy from bystanders. He tried to stay calm as he doesn't want to start a fuss with Nari sitting beside him and Mira visibly observing the scene he was in from afar after she searched for Nari.
"Ew I got grease on my hand."
'Your damn fault for messing up Zack's gelled hair.'
"Could you guys bugger off please?"
"What the fuck did he say?"
"He's showing off in front of his girl hehe."
"You heard him damn well. Fuck off." interfered Nari.
"Ohhh feisty. You're pretty too. I kinda like you so give me your number."
Zack growled as the same guy who messed up his hair tried to hit Nari up.
'This bastard..'
"Ugh no."
'Nice Nari!'
"She's all fake."
"Eyes, Nose, Chin, she's had them all done."
'Why am I suddenly the center of attention?!'
"So you play hard to get. You're that great?"
"I am beyond great."
"Then why are you with this loser?"
"Oh shut the fuck up. I don't do face-shaming but you're too ugly for my liking." Nari retorted.
"Let's go, Zack. Mira is waiting."
"Okay.."
"Going already?"
"Losers."
"Lol."
"Ah, come on! Give me your number and other things. Okay?" said the bald bastard again and placed his arm over Nari who is now standing up.
"Anyways, Aren't J High chicks all sluts?" he added and groped Nari's breast.
Before Nari could even react to it, his face met Zack's fist and got knocked out with one punch. Nari was dumbfounded and doesn't even know how to react.
Mira ran to the female and held both of her shoulders.
"Nari! Are you okay??"
"Sorry, Mira." Zack started.
"Huh?"
"I don't think I can keep my promise."
"Hey, worm..."
"That was a cheap shot."
The bullies commented, not convinced by the strength Zack showed until the comment of a bystander was perceived.
"Hey! That's Zack Lee!"
"You know him?"
"Yeah same Junior High. He was an ace boxer."
They gulped as Zack approached them whilst cracking his knuckles.
"You shouldn't have touched Nari... Now I have nothing to lose because of youuuuu!!!"
Several whacks, groans, and cries were heard as the boxer mercilessly beat them up. He then glanced at the two female who was with the group completely spooking them.
"Hey, you two."
"Huh?!"
"Nari is all natural, you donkeys."
"What did he say?"
"How rude!"
Mira watched, slightly smiling as she held Nari in her arms who have her eyes wide open. She had no idea that Zack is this type of person and she herself knows that she is touched by his action as she haven't witnessed anyone who is as much as protective over her except for Vin and Mary. A smile slowly forming at her lips as she eyed the male.
"Ugh"
"So any J high schoolers can fight well."

Zack, who was on his bed naked after taking a shower, stared at his phone weirdly because of his friend's confusing reply and upon receiving a text message from an unknown number. His confusion replaced with shock and glee when the unknown sender revealed her identity.
