None had any proofs just blind guesses seeing the decor of the place, they printed anything....
Thank God Shaurya Sir took me upstairs before anyone could notice me...
I ignored these gossips as it was normal in B-town, Reema kept nudging to tell her the truth but i dismissed the conversation as i couldn't lie to her...
"Reema we've lot more important things to discuss rather than these silly gossips!
Kal varun ka birthday h aur abhi tk kuch preparation nhi hui h"
Yes It's Varun's birthday tomorrow, he landed India yesterday only, after completing his musical tour, Me, Reema and some of his friends are planning to give him surprise today midnight.
A lot happened in past few weeks and it feels illegal to hide things from him and Reema I decided to talk to them after Varun's birthday...

I reached on set Shaurya wasn't there, half day passed he didn't came yet, something was off, my heart could feel he's not fine, from Shaan sir i got to know he had high fever in the morning, i cursed myself, the cause of his condition was me! I could've handled the situation in a better way!!
Plus, after yesterday's incident and today's headlines Ahir is trying to talk to me... But we didn't get time during the shoot
"I have to clear things with him too!
Ahhh, why everything is so messed up !!"
It was lunch time Ahir texted me to come to his make up room
Before that I tried contacting Shaurya, but he didn't pick up the call

As I entered, Ahir stood up and signalled makeup dada to leave
He left, not before giving a weird look to us.
"Kya tha ye?" I asked Indicating towards makeup dada's actions
"Kuch bhi nhi Anokhi ji vo bs aaj ki headlines ki vajah se..., Newspaper to dekha hoga aapne"
"Hn, pr vo sb—"
"Sach hi to h...! Anokhi mai kl aapko restaurant isliye to lekar gya tha na... I wanted to confess that—"
"Ahir mai aapki bohot badi fan hu, aur jbse aapke sath kaam Krna shuru kiya h aapse dosti bhi achi ho gyi h pr—"
"Pr kya?"
"I'm really sorry pr mai aapke liye vesa feel nhi krti jesa shyd aap mere liye krte h
Hum bohot ache dost h Ahir, please don't ruin this i hope aap meri baat smjhenge, Ahir"
He was dejected, not that i didn't expected this reaction but i felt very bad after witnessing it, he moved out of the vanity without uttering a single word, when I stepped down from the vanity half of the crew was eyeing me, making me awkward, don't know what's going on in their heads, i moved out from there called Shaurya again but no response from his side, texted him, but he didn't budge even a little!
"Matarani please Shaurya Sir ko jaldi se thik kardo"

2-3 hours later my pack up was announced i went straight to Varun's house, to check the decorations, we planned a small party in his lawn, Reema was there only, meanwhile Varun's friends took him to the movie from which they'll be back around 12
After an hour or so all preparations were done, Reema and I went home to change then reached Varun's place with few of our mutual friends just 10 mins before, everything looked hood, cake n refreshments were ready, DJ was set...
Varun entered the premises exactly at 12 we burst the party poppers and wished "HAPPY BIRTHDAY VARUN" everyone said in unison, he cuts the cake, thanked us, everyone took pictures and updated their social media accounts, after meeting everyone he hugged me nudging his chin on my shoulder like he always does, to irritate me!
"Long time chipkali" he said
"Tu sudhrega nhi na"
"Kbhi nhi"
and i covered his face with the cake then everyone did their needful contribution leaving him look like he just had mud bath since the cake was black forest
We burst into fits of laughter he went in to change, everyone was enjoying, dancing, i moved a little away from the noise and tried calling Shaurya once again, he had seen my messages but didn't replied to any, neither he called back
My heart felt heavy... really heavy that It could burst in any moment...
"Shaurya please don't do this to me" i mumbled in my breaking voice looking at his name in my call logs
"Nikki" Varun sensed that something is wrong, he heard few words and called her
She turned to look not before wiping her partially visible tears
"Tu theek hai?"
"Aaj to mai bohot khush hu itne dino baad hum sb sath h Tu, mai, Reema aur aaj to tera Birthday bhi h"
"Tu chahe jitni bhi badi ho ja, teri shaadi ke baad bhi tere pati se pehle Tera haal jaankr bta dunga... itna to samjhta hu mai tujhe.."
"Vahi to baat h na Varun tu bhi samajh gya pr jise smjhna chahiye vo to mujhe subha se ignore kr rha h" I thought
"Kuch to bol"
"Chal na dance krte h" I didn't wanted to spoil his birthday its his day he should have fun
"Tu nahi manegi na" he holds my hand dragged me to the other corner of the lawn where there was no one, we sat on the bench
"Ab bta" i didn't respond
"Papaji thik h?" I nodded in yes
"Babli di?" "
"Mummyji ne kuch kaha?" nodded in no
"Raja?" All the happenings from past week flashed in my mind, my eyes got welled with tears, still i said no
"Shaurya?" That's it i couldn't control, he side hugged me, stroked my back till I could get normal, i composed myself
"Chal ab bta kya kaha tere director Mr Shaurya Sabherwal ne"
"Bohot lambi story h, socha tha tujhe aur Reema ko sath btaungi—"
"Tu chhod use vese bhi bohot overdramatic h vo"

"Hn kahi ese hi kisi din hum dono se breakup ke liya to" Varun joined
"Han isse acha to hum hi tujhe chhodkr chale jate h" Reema completed

"Vo Galat tha !!" both screamed to the top of their lungs
I looked down
"Tu pyaar krti h na Shaurya se?" Reema asked
I nodded in yes
"To dikkat kya h Nikki?"
"What if future m fir esa kuch hua aur unhone mera sath nhi diya, mujhpr shak kiya, firse bharosa nhi kiya to?" I admitted my fear
"Nikki life m kuch perfect nhi milta aur khaskar pyaar to bilkul nhi...

I was very much convinced and guilty for what all i said to Shaurya, i don't even know, how he is now!!

I was about to end the call

I could clearly figure how much l have hurt him but now I'm determined to fix everything, at all costs!

They went in his house, talked, laughed, teased, danced and slept there only!!
