Our story begins inside a tree,a very large tree
Said tree towered over mountains and even reached the ends of the skies with it's branches
But yet for some reason it was still just peacefully in the middle of plains untouched,as if it was just an attraction
A monument that was left barren in the large vastness of the green lands across,what is more surprising however is what is hidden inside of this tree
Traveling under the exposed roots take those daring to enter inside an immense hollow trunk and inside it
An entire city was built inside of it, however it's state left much to be desired as the aqueducts were dry,the fauna having taken over it's majority, seeping through the cracked windows of ruined homes
A majority of the vines and plants emerging from a large pool of water in the center of the ruined city along with what appeared to be sewer entrances,no doubt from a source of water nearby
However the main focus of the city was a large castle in the middle and towering over all buildings
It seemed to still house life,evidenced by ropes and swings that were loosely placed all around ready to fall down at any moment
The very top was like a place of it's own
A house that was in good shape although looked out of place in the giant terrace of the outside with a sign next to it that read.
"EDEL AND SALIA'S TURF!"
Whoever built it must have completely ignored the stairs of the castle and made their own one
The house in itself was simple,made of wood with foundations of stone,it had two floors,the base and upper floors
The base floor had a living room at the front right of the entrance with some modern furniture on it but some of them seemed to have been tempered with
The sofa having claw marks or the table being burned in some areas
At the back was the open kitchen with a long stool separating them,it seemed to have all the necessary equipment a kitchen should have although the sink was in a less than desirable state
On the left side were stairs that took to the second floor which held three rooms
One room far back which seemed to be the bedroom
The one before it was the bathroom and the first one were the toilet
Suddenly some noise could be heard from the bedroom as the door suddenly exploded as a blue haired girl in her undergarments ran out with a full smile on her face
"HURRY UP SLOWPOKE,LAST ONE TO THE BATHROOM HAS TO CLEAN THE HOUSE TODAY!!"
She yelled out as an immense tentacle immediately slammed her on the wall
"Are you for real?you just kick me in the face first thing in the morning and you do this
It's the tenth time this month already!!"shouted someone inside the room as they slowly walked out revealing a boy with long hair,red eyes
and an eyepatch covering one of them
"H-he he,if I don't wake you up you'll just sleep the entire week away!"she said as fire ignited from her feet burning the tentacle and propelling her towards the bathroom door
"OH NO YOU DON'T!!"He shouted as his legs started to morph into an animal like shape as he began to run at an incredible speed
The two were just about to reach the door when suddenly the girl turned around and to the window
"LOOK!!THERE'S A GIANT DRAGON FALLING DOWN!!"she shouted
the boy was easily deceived and looked the other before the girl pushed him of
"I WIN!!"she shouted entering the bathroom and slamming the door shut
The boys face slammed against the window of the hallway
He rubbed his nose as he shook his head
He knew it would take the girl a long time for her to come out so he decided to just wash his face in the kitchen and prepare breakfast while he was at it
Meanwhile the girl quickly hopped into a bathtub that was filled with water,as she got in,she started to release heat from her body which started to heat up the water to a desirable temperature
Her name is salia,a salamander girl who suffers from amnesia,up to seven years ago,she remembers nothing, all she knows is that she woke up at the center of the city they live in now,and has been living off the immense treasures that could be found in there,she started taking on adventuring quests for the next two years until she met the boy who she instantly became friends with and the two started to live together
"This hits the spot~"she said as she felt all her muscles and joints relax but also feeling reinvigorated
She didn't last too long in there as she got out,dried herself,wore her clothes and brushed her teeth
Meanwhile
He took out some of the utensils and ingredients and got to work
The boys name is edel,edel akemi,a boy from estia Town of a country named alrest,he left his home at a young age after accidentally eating an alluring fruit while he was hungry,eating that fruit gave him abilities to shape-shift his body into that of different creatures,he met salia five years ago when he was hungry and running away from a monster that took his eye,she invited him inside her house and they lived together ever since
He finished preparing the food as he was now waiting for her to come down to which she did as she looked excited to see the food ready
"WOOHOOO!BREAKFAST IS READY"she jumped into her seat
"Are you feeling ready for another quest today?"edel asked
"You bet i am!why do you think I woke up so early today?"
"You always wake up early though"
"Hehehe"
The two continued to eat their breakfast as edel went upstairs to shower and change his clothes while salia was waiting for him outside the house
Having finished preparing himself,edel walked out to meet up with salia
"All good?"she asked
"All good"edel answered
Hearing that salia immediately jumped out of the high tower followed by edel
Large feathered wings sprout out of edel's back as he started to hover over the ground while salia's feet ignited with fire bursting out from the bottom which she directed to the ground thus halting her fall
The two of them landed on the ground safely near the entrance as edel stood in front of salia
"Hey how about we race all the way there?could work for a good workout"
Salia was about to respond before her face turned into one of pure horror
"THERE'S A GIANT DRAGON FALLING TOWARDS US!!"she screamed
"You're not fooling me again salia"said edel with a smug grin on his face
"I'M SERIOUS YOU IDIOT!!"she shouted as she grabbed hi. And dashed to the side
Immediately after that an immense creature crashed through the gap of tree enlarging it even more which also was thick enough to cushion the fall
The dust started settling as both salia and edel started raising their heads
It was an immense dragon,almost as big as a mountain,it had hundreds of giant spears stabbed onto its skin
They stood up
"What the..."edel was speechless as he started walking towards the giant dragon
"Yeah sure let's just approach the giant dragon" said salia who followed him nonetheless
As they got closer,the dragon started turning into Ash with it's skin turning a grey color that were then swept away by the quiet wind
But then,they started noticing something
Something remained inside the dragon
It looked like a girl wearing torn clothes who was holding onto an egg as she was on her knees
She looked at the two teenagers before uttering
"H-help me...."she whispered before collapsing
The two friends looked at each other
It seemed like they were going to have different plans for the day

Hey there peeps,how's it going,yeah I know its a new story all out of the blue like that but I'm trying my best to find one that works and gives me the old feeling that I did with my past stories
And so far this story might be up there with them
