A quiet smack resonated around the room. "Gore, get off my bed." Weiss mumbled trying to go back to sleep. After feeling another smack, she sat up awake looking around with a glare. Yet Gore was nowhere to be seen. Although to her right was a face down Ruby with a thick purple and black tail wagging all around the place. "Ruby, you have a tail." Weiss calmly said patting her head. Sleep still messing with her mind.
Letting out a quick gasp she turned back to Ruby. "Ruby, you have a tail!" She said rapidly tapping the sleeping girl. The girl in question just clasped her winged hand on her face making her shut her mouth. Staring down with a deadpanned look she crossed her arms and waited. Slowly Ruby woke up, sitting up she smacked her lips together before looking over at the annoyed Weiss. "What was the problem again?" Ruby asked still very tired.
"Right sorry." Ruby said lowering her wing from Weiss' face. "You have a tail." She simply said gesturing to the extra appendage on the young Rose' body. Slowly she looked down and as Weiss said, there was a tail. "Heyyy, look at that. I have a tail." She tiredly said whilst hugging it and about to fall back asleep. Sighing, Weiss grabbed her by the shoulder and dragged her back up. "Ruby, you did not have a tail yesterday." Weiss explained to her.
"Heh, what's the point of worrying about it. It's gonna happen a lot so I might as well just roll with it." Ruby told her. Still very tired and the fact that it was Saturday, Ruby let go of her tail and grabbed Weiss instead. "Ruby no!" Weiss shouted in desperation. But it was too late, Ruby was out like a light and Weiss was in her clutches. "You're lucky I like you." Weiss whispered before closing her eyes to sleep as well.

"Ruby, Which one?" Weiss asked slamming two table cloths onto the table in front of her. Ruby looked at the cloth then to the tables they would be on. "That one." she said pointing to the one on the left. "Thank you. I was thinking that one too but needed a second opinion." She said walking off. "How did you do that?" Yang asked. "I have no clue." Ruby said genuinely confused. "Anyways, you got a dress yet?" Yang asked her sister. "Yessss, and I think it looks nice." She said to her all giddy.
"Same, I am going to be turning heads tomorrow." She said with a confident smirk before seeing what Weiss was doing. "Weiss, I thought we agreed no Doilies!" She shouted over to her. "Yeah, well if I can't have doilies then you can't have fog machines." Weiss argued getting in her face. A loud bang was heard as the doors were thrown open. "Did you say there was gonna be fog machines?" Neptune asked walking over.
"Not unless I get my doilies." Weiss said still peeved about the incident. "Fine. But they better look good." Yang said caving. "As if they would look bad." She said walking away. Hearing a yelp, they looked over to Ruby with Neptune trying to walk behind her. "Watch where you're going!" Ruby shouted rubbing her tail to calm the pain. "Woah, sorry there didn't see it." Neptune said trying to apologise. "What?! How can you not see it it's massive!!" Ruby shouted standing up and baring her teeth at him.
"Woah, Woah, Rubes calm down." Yang said walking over to them both. "Why should I!? He stepped on my tail on purpose!!" She shouted again. "How do you know that?" Yang asked making Ruby just point at her tail and its size. "Yeah no that checks out." Yang said agreeing with her sister. "Well I didn't see it." Neptune spoke up. "Ohhhh! Watch when my fist doesn't see your face in its way!!" She shouted about to lunge at him.
"Alright Ruby, how about we go to the cafeteria and get you some cookies." Weiss said walking over and diffusing the situation. "Ooooh, cookies. With the chocolate chips?!" She asked with drool escaping her mouth. "With extra chocolate chips." Weiss said booping her on the nose and guiding her out of the ballroom.
"What's up with her?" Sun asked after watching that entire thing go down. "She's been a bit iffy with the whole changing thing." Yang explained. "Damn, puberty this late huh." Sun said feeling bad for her. "NOO! No! She's been changing as a side effect of her bond with Gore." Yang said slightly disgusted. "You mean the dragon that's asleep on the stage?" Sun asked pointing to the sleeping dragon. "That would be the one." Yang answered.
"So, what're you guys gonna be wearing. Sun it better be good otherwise I'll hurt ya." Yang said to Sun. "Relax, I'm gonna be wearing this." He said gesturing to his clothes he was wearing now. "Ohh, I'm gonna hurt you." Yang said about to take a step forward. "Ignore him, he know's not of what he says." Neptune cut in. "Yeah you can't talk." Yang said also glaring at him.
"Hey! I may have moved to Mistral, but I grew up in Vacuo, it's not exactly a shirt and tie kinda place." Sun justified. "I don't know, he might look weird in a suit and tie." Blake finally spoke up. "Well there's only one way to find out, and tomorrow we shall see." He said walking over to her. Grabbing his collar, she dragged him down to her eye level "Yes we shall." She said putting him into the seat next to her.

Gore was roaming the halls of Beacon's dorms. That was until a hand tapped him on the head. "Gore, come with me." Jaune said and Gore followed him. All the way to Jaune's dorm room. Walking in he saw Ren sitting on his bed in just a towel. "What's Gore doing here." Ren asked. "I'll explain in a minute." Jaune said going through his drawer. "Ohhhh, look it's Gore. How you doing you big squishy baby." Nora asked hugging him with a lot of strength. Yet it didn't bother Gore and he just tried to hug her back, this got Gore to stand on his hind legs and rest his hands on her shoulders.
"You're so strong, it's scary." She said grabbing his face. "That is oddly calm for her." Ren said pointing to the scene in front of him. "Alright, Nora, headphones on until I say." Jaune said handing her, her headphones. "Awww, but I wanna play with the dragon." She whined. "Nora, Headphones!" Jaune shouted and she sighed and put them on.
"Soooo. Jaune. How you doing exactly?" Ren asked him awkwardly. "Good, anyways, I asked Weiss to the dance and she turned me down. But this time she gave me an actual reason and I get why she's been turning me down now. But. I was wondering how you and Nora got together. It might help me in the future." Jaune said. "Huh, Jaune. Me and Ren aren't together together, just tog-", "Nora, Headphones!" Jaune screamed again and she sighed but did it.
"Why don't you ask Pyrrha to the dance." Ren suggested. "Nah, she's probably got people lining up to ask her." Jaune said with his head drooping down. Feeling a paw on his leg he looked to see Gore looking up at him. Or at least he looked like he was. Then he saw him gesture his head to the door. Looking over Pyrrha was stood there. "Jaune, no one has asked me to the dance yet." She told him and he looked at her for a second. "Noooo." He said brushing her off. "For Christ sake man, ASK HER TO THE DANCE!!" Ren screamed finally having enough of it.
They all looked at him in shock and he too looked confused as well. "I have no clue what happened there." He whispered before grabbing his clothes and going to the bathroom. Jaune Still being shocked, didn't realise Gore was dragging him until he was face to face with Pyrrha. Looking down he watched Gore walk behind Pyrrha and out the door, not before hitting her in the back making her fall into Jaune's arms.

Team RWBY Were relaxing in the dorm after everything for the dance tomorrow was sorted out. The door slightly opened and Gore walked in. Ruby patted the bed beside her and Gore climbed up next to her and wrapped himself around her.
"Y'know Ruby, you never did tell me how you met Gore." Weiss spoke up and silence ensued. An awkward one at that and Weiss picked up on it. "Never mind." She said trying to forget about bringing it up. "No, we promised we would share these things when we became partners so I'll tell you." Ruby said about to get up but remembered Gore. "Gather round kids, it's time for Ruby's wonderful story." Yang said moving her attention to Ruby making the other two do it as well.
"So you want the short version, medium or long?" Ruby asked. "Oooh, mixing it up huh. Lets go wi-" Yang started. "Medium." Weiss interrupted. "Alright, so uhh, this part's tricky." She said before taking a deep breath. "It was the day of my Mums Funeral and as a kid I guess I just, couldn't handle it. I ran into the forest mid-way through and my dad and aunt let me, but my uncle went and kept an eye on me. According to him my semblance finally kicked in and I was just off. Y'know zooming away." She said doing the gestures and all. "Anyways, he lost me for a while and I just broke down crying. Of course, with this being in the middle of a forest near a funeral, I'm pretty sure you can guess there was negative energy going all over the place and it may or may not have lured a Grimm to me. More specifically, a Beowolf." She explained and saw the concentration on the other two's faces.
"It obviously saw me, and so did my Uncle who finally showed up, y'know super Uncle. But with the Beo being so much closer to me, he was gonna be late and wouldn't have saved me. Thankfully, a purple streak came out of the tree line and saved me. That purple streak being this awesome dragon right here." She said scratching him on the head and he started to kick his leg out over and over again. "That didn't seem too bad." Weiss said from her bed. "Yeah, well you weren't there." Ruby spoke back.
"You're right, I wasn't, sorry." Weiss apologised. "Thanks for telling us anyways." Weiss said but after a while, the only response she got was quiet snores coming from Ruby's bed. "Has she?" she asked dangling her head over the edge trying to see. "Yes Weiss. Yes she has." Yang nodded sagely. "Or she's faking, who knows." Yang said turning over to sleep herself. "I Don't like you sometimes." Weiss said glaring in Yang's direction.

"Alright, so that just leaves around, ten people left." Yang said staring down at the name sheet. Hearing the sound of heels clicking, she looked up and saw Ruby walking in nervously. "My baby sister!!" Yang squealed excitedly. Ruby walked in wearing a short sleeveless red dress with a black ribbon wrapped around her waist. The collar connected with a black lacing, black stockings and dark red heels. "How does Weiss fight in these?" She asked losing her balance for a second.
"And I see Gore's here." She said pointing to the accompanying dragon. "Course, why wouldn't he be." Ruby said walking over to her. "Anyways, Weiss is back there, she's been working on that flower for twenty minutes, you might want to save her before she goes insane." Yang said pointing over to the annoyed Weiss. "Right, on my way." Ruby said running over to her and almost falling over.
Stumbling next to Weiss she looked up at the shocked girl with a sheepish smile. "Hi." she said and Weiss couldn't help but smile back, she grabbed her hand and helped her balance herself. "You look lovely." She said looking the girl up and down. "Ruby?" She asked confused before seeing the girl in a trance. "Ruby, you can't do this every time I'm dressed nice." She said with a light chuckle. "Sure I can, just watch me." she said with a cheeky smile.
Looking at Weiss again she was wearing a short sleeveless white dress with small cut-outs around her waist. Weiss could see a small smile appear on Ruby's face yet her tail was wagging crazily and knocking on some of the chairs. "Is there any way you can hide or calm your tail?" Weiss asked in amusement. "Yeah no, not a chance." She said also looking back at her tail. But after a while of staring at it, it slowed down to a stop. "Never mind, I guess I do." She said before looking back at Weiss and it just started up again. "This thing's a traitor." She muttered glaring at her wagging tail.
"Come on Ruby, if we just stand around and stare at your tail we'll be here all day." Weiss said dragging her to the dance floor. "By the by, it's a bit last minute and probably doesn't make a difference, but I don't know how to dance." Ruby said resting her hand on her shoulder. "Well then just follow my lead." Weiss said connecting their hands and resting her other on her waist. After accidentally stepping on Weiss' foot, she couldn't help but wince. "Any chance I would be following you off a bridge?" She asked with a nervous smile.
"No, but you weren't wrong about the dancing." Weiss said with a slight wince of pain. "Sorry, sorry. I really should be better at this." Ruby said with an apologetic look on her face. "Alright, stop looking at your feet and look at me." Weiss said having enough. When Ruby looked up at her, and they both locked eyes, all the missteps went away. Ruby hit every step and they were both dancing in perfect sync. "See, your great at dancing." Weiss said making Ruby look down at her feet. "Wah, really?" And then came the missteps.
"Up at me." Weiss said making Ruby look up at her. "It's not so hard when you have a good partner." Weiss said looking in her eyes. "Really, where is she?" Ruby asked jokingly looking around. When she looked back, she could see a mock glare pointed at her. "I'm kidding, You're a lovely partner." Ruby said touching noses with her.
"I could kiss you y'know." Weiss said to her. "Wh-wh-wh-why don't you?" Ruby asked nervously with a very evident blush on her face. "I could do that." Weiss whispered leaning in. Their lips connected in a tight kiss as they closed their eyes to savour it. Separating for a breath of air, Ruby and Weiss stared into each other's eyes. "What are the odds Yang is taking a picture." She said with a slight chuckle.
"I'm kinda thirsty." Ruby said looking around. "You want me to spin you to the punch bowl." Weiss asked her and watched excitement appear on her face. "Ooooh, I've always wanted to do that." She said giddily. "Alright, you ready?" Weiss asked after standing to where Ruby was in front of the Punch bowl. When she saw her nod, she let go of her and spun her around in the direction of the punch bowl.
Seeing her getting closer she noticed she kept spinning by herself. Before she could collide, Ozpin had rested a hand on her shoulder to stop her. "I believe you've spun enough Miss Rose." he said to her and watched as she tried to collect herself. "Right, drink." She said heading towards the bowl. "You know you're supposed to stop yourself, right?" Weiss asked standing next to her and she saw the confusion. "I'm supposed to stop myself?" She asked stopping what she was doing.
"Yes Ruby, because if you don't, then right now you would be covered in that punch." She said pointing to the bowl. "So Weiss, who did you ask to the dance then?" Jaune asked appearing out of nowhere. Instead of answering she just hooked her arm with Ruby's. It took him a while but he finally understood what she meant. "Ohhh, well I'm happy for you." He said with a small smile. "How about you Jaune, did you ask Pyrrha?" Ruby asked.
"Did everyone except me know?!" Jaune asked defeated. "Well, yeah. But I guess from your reaction, you know and hopefully asked her." Ruby said to him. "Yeah, I asked her, Gore helped as well. She's just waiting over by Yang." Jaune said pointing to where she stood. "Well don't leave her alone, I'm pretty sure she's been waiting for this for a while." Ruby said pushing him away and to her.
Another one, the dance has started and the partners have been chosen. And Ruby has a tail. Even more of Gore on her. Anyways I hope you liked it and I'll see you in the next one.
