A woman was holding her husband's biceps, leaning her head on his shoulder, the couple was sitting on a seat near the beach, and a Coconut was placed in her lap which they were sharing with their respective straws.
"Mmm, stop!" The women shouted.
"Mmm?" (What) The man asked, still sipping coconut-water, and raising an eyebrow at his wife.
"You drink the most." She said in accusing-tone and snatched the coconut, removing his straw too.
"Heyy!" He whined.
"Nuu" (No) she childishly said, sticking her tongue out, she ran away.
It's not even a few seconds, and she found that her husband is not even following her.
The very thought of being left alone on the beach sulked her. So she just leaned on the nearest tree and started to sip on the reason, the Coconut.
She was frustrated not seeing the particular person her eyes and mind were wandering for.
"Ahh!!" She screamed, being terrified as the next second she felt strong arms coiled against her belly from the back of the tree.
"Shh!" As she heard that person's voice, her fear turned into anger...
Next second she felt his lips on her cheeks, wet and warm. Wet from the coconut water, and warm- it's their nature.
"Leave me, u stupid, Pagal, You scarred me Arvind." she said, and started to remove his hand, but it's too tight for her, or we could say she isn't using her full-strength because she liked him holding her.
"Did I?" he asked amusingly, to which she responded in a curt nod, and fake anger.
He leaves her, and comes in front of her, trapping her in-betwen him and treetrunk.
Her breath hitched, and she held the coconut more tightly in her hand. "Do u want to fight with me over a coconut?" she narrowed her eyes at his actions.
"Believe me mi cariño I can have war, for what I want." he said huskily, his thumb gazing at the corner of her lips, and he removed the tiny drop of the water and bring his thumb to his month and tasted the heavenly drink, with a taste of passion in it.
"No, I'm gonna have the drink to myself." saying this she pulled the coconut more into herself.
But the one straw in it was taken by Arvind for the time being. And she huffed in annoyance seeing the straw in his hand.
"You can't let me have my favorite drink also on our anniversary..." Her cheeks look like they are filled with Gulab Jamun, a perfect temptress she us looking.
He loves to annoy his wife, just to see this cute expression of hers. His cute Suman.
He poked her left cheek with his forefinger, and she glared at him.
They were in an intense eye-lock, but her husband is multitasking! As his next step took her off-guard.
He traces the column of her neck with the straw, eyes still boring into her eyes.
It only got her breathing more heavy, the straw still has water drops, and the coldness from the water has left her whole body burning.
The drop starts to burn her whole neck with the way he does things!
He starts to give small-kisses as the drops slide down from her neck till it reaches the sternal head of hers, and he was sucking the drop leisurely, burning her skin more. And she can't do anything except to fist his coat and drown into the love he was raining on her.
That coconut was long gone...
"Ar-Arvi..." she tried to call him, but he was busy taking advantage of the almost dark and less-crowded place.
"With all romantic vibes, sea, winds...! It would be disrespectful if it didn't store some romantic moment of us!!" he whispered in her ear and winked at her.
He says this every time they visit this place.. If it doesn't have wind or water, he'll still make things romantic!!
But before she could give a reply, Arvind captured her lips. Tasting the flavor, he can have a war for!
"I love u!"Arvind murmured near her lips, after kissing her to his heart's content.
"I-love-you-too..." she said, still gasping for some air, and her words were like they come out from her mouth to run a marathon, so fast and inaudible.
"Can't believe it's been 3 years!" he exclaimed, keeping his forehead above hers, and she Hummmed.
Both were silently standing there only, closing their eyes, enjoying and cherishing the moment.
Sea is also giggling seeing the couple so lost! Moon is also suggesting stars to shine bright! The natural spotlight is on them only!
After a few minutes, Arvind held Suman's hand and said hurriedly, "Let's go home!!" like he is gonna miss his train or something...
Suman was surprised, feeling the tug at her hand, and Arvind's sudden mood change, "What happened? Did you have meeting tomorrow?" she asked, being perturbed about his work.
"Ya, it's night and we are still on this beeeaaaccch!" he exclaimed, and exaggerated, emphasizing the place the most!
But reading her facial expression, he understood that she had forgotten about the ritual he made for their each following anniversaries.
He pulled her closer to himself and wounded his one arm around her for holding her securely, and tugged a few strands of hairs behind her ear that disheveled due to the sudden motion.
"So, it's our anniversary, we visited the beach, as usual, drink coconut-water, but there is something still left as part of our anniversary, u forget?" he asked instantly gazing at her.
And it was like a reminder and she understood what her husband meant!
Her face went pale knowing what he meant, and Arvind smirked and moved towards his car with his wife, blushing profusely in anticipation.
4 years ago, on the same day, they come here as strangers, and fought over a coconut, which was the last left to the shopkeeper.
In the end, they both were empty-handed as a child came and requested them to give that last one to him.
Seeing the child their heart melt, and they even equally contributed to pay for that coconut and let that boy drink that.
They spent the evening whole day with that kid, as he was an orphan from near orphanage.
But fortunately, due to that kid, they become friends, later that child was adopted by some middle aged couple.
They got married too on this same date, tho it was not love! No, they were friends then also. It was an arranged one, Suman's uncle is friends with Arvind's uncle, and by chance they think to turn their business into relationship.
It was not good, Suman thought as she was proposed for the alliance, as she thought that her friendship with Arvind will get awkward! And so was Arvind's thought! Even Suman was the only female friend he made, so it's kind of he doesn't know how to handle things.
But finally they agreed, better marrying any more strange person, marry someone whom u know a little is what their mantra in this marriage.
But turned into love within a span of a few months.
And why not?
Both stupid were stupid for each other!
And they decided to visit this sea on their every anniversary, and share a coconut, as a token of their love.
But Arvind added something too!
So since it was an arranged one, their first night was not-celebrated-in-the-right-way. So for correcting it, they will celebrate it correctly every year! Arvind's mantra to get Suman by another rule he can get!
She was happy that he doesn't say, Let's have a wedding night every month as month anniversary! Because literally this man can.
Her worry was not the deeds they do but the extra decoration, so chessy environment, and fancy things he do sometimes.
So now, they should go, and correct the last thing of the day...whole night maybe...
Ok, Arvind and Suman are gonna celebrate their night, so why will our Mr. Coconut be alone?
The sea took him away for a long ride too...
Well this is a story I had written in for a contest of "Romantic story in 1000 words".
But this is a modified version with 1370 exact words!
Truth to be told, I was laughing while writing this! 😆🙊🙈
First time I had written something like that, and that also for a contest, it didn't secure a good place in contest, but I enjoyed writing it, a constant smile was on my lips. 😁
And the host said, it's simple and sweet, and even I wanted it to be like this only!
Not mature romance, but words will play the role here. So many things are here not in their Convo but in first-person omniscient's view!
