"So, deal?" Bill asked. Waiting for your answer and seeing if you'll agree to this.

You were thinking about it for a bit before sighing. "Fine, deal." As you said that, Bill cleared his throat before speaking. "I might need my body again, so this is where you'll be getting your body back." As Bill finished speaking, he stretched out his hand, waiting for you to shake it. You didn't hesitate and held his hand, resulting in your ghost-like form being dragged back in, and as a few short seconds passed, you were back in your old body.

"This - feels so weird." You muttered as you examined your body a bit, it felt weird being back on your two feet after having an outside body experience. As you finished your little inspecting, you looked up to see all around you was now the usual gray scape you have learned to get used to, and Bill was back to being in his yellow triangular form. "Now." That was all that he spoke before stretching out his hand, and the familiar blue flame appeared on his hand. You took a deep breath before reaching out to your hand, shaking his hand as a result.

Nothing spectacular happened. Your hand was just sitting there, not to mention gripping his hand like something bad was going to happen, but nothing happened. Just pure silence. But you knew that you just contracted a deal with him.

"That's it?" You questioned, and he just stared at you like you were stupid. "Of course. What did you expect?" He asked, and you stayed silent. He just sighed while moving his hand away from yours. He tipped his tophat before speaking. "Remember our deal." He said in a serious tone, and you couldn't help but nod in silence. "Good, I'll be taking my leave." You didn't have time to respond when you blinked and around you finally had colors. You were just standing in the middle of the room like a confused critter.

Suddenly, the door creaked open, revealing Ford. "Yoo..-" You said awkwardly, trying to stay chill. "Hey, y/n, just wanted to check up on you," he said warmly, and you couldn't help but smile at his kindness. "Thank you, grunkle Ford, but I'm fine!" You reassured him with a thumbs up. "Good. It's just that me and your siblings have noticed that you've been acting strange.." Ford said, and you couldn't help but feel nervous. "O-oh- r-really...?" Your tone did not make this any better or less suspicious.

"Are you sure?" Ford asked again, and you nodded your head frantically. "Alright.. just take care, ok?" He sounded worried. You looked at him with a reassuring smile and nodded. "Of course, Grunkle Ford, I can take care of myself!" You said with an enthusiastic tone. He nodded in acknowledgment. "Right, enjoy yourself then, y/n." Ford looked at you for a few seconds before opening the door to leave. As the door opened, Ford didn't notice a little black cat entering the room he closed the door and left.

As Ford had left without noticing the little furry creature getting in the room, he stared at you with an uncomfortable gaze. Soon, the silence was broken when he opened his mouth to speak. "Hello dear!" He said with a soft tone that reassured you, in a way.

"Nyx?" You called out, and he nodded his little head. "The one and only!" He said while slowly walking up to you and snuggling his body against your leg. This was normal cat behavior, but the difference was that this cat wasn't an animal. It was a demon. You decided to stay vigilant and careful around him, despite your urges to pat him like an actual cat.

"What brought you here?" You asked while Nyx still stayed near your leg, letting out a few purrs here and there. "I wanted to see you!" He answered happily. You wanted to shoo him away and tell him to leave you alone, but you couldn't. You couldn't mean to animals, that would be animal abuse!

"See me?" You questioned. You were skeptical and suspicious of his intentions, but you had to admit that he was good at keeping up this cat-like attitude. "Yep! You're an interesting human. You got Cipher's attention as well! Cipher is a complicated character, and that just makes me intrigued by you since he's so..'normal' around you." He explained while still snuggling near your leg. You didn't bother telling him to get out anymore. Firstly, because he was actually an entertaining individual, and secondly, even if you did tell him to leave, he would just come back later on in the day or the following days.

"I see.." You muttered under your breath. With a little hesitation, you picked Nyx up, and even he was surprised by your actions. "Since you're in a cat form, I can take you anywhere without anyone suspecting you're a demon." Nyx was surprised that you were taking him along, but he didn't seem to complain and just went along with what you were doing. As you were about to leave, Mabel came into the room and spotted you, and Nyx.

You cursed under your breath, and Nyx looked up at you and at Mabel. He had an unfazed look on his face like he already knew how this was going to end up.

"Y/n?" Mabel called out to you, sounding annoyed as ever, not like you're surprised. She soon eyed Nyx on your hands, and her frown seemed to disappear to a full-on smile. "What a cute cat!" She squealed at the sight of Nyx. "This is your problem now." You muttered towards Nyx, who rolled his eyes. He didn't seem to want to deal with Mabel right now. It seems he knew each of your family pretty well, but you needed to ask him later when you two were alone.

"How did you get that cat!?" Mabel sounded like she was yelling now. "Uh-" was all that you muttered, not knowing what to answer to her question. Mabel seemed to be growing impatient by your uncomfortable silence and sighed, clearly annoyed. "Maybe just shut up, I don't need to know how or when you got that cat." She said almost after she didn't get an answer from you. "Rude much.." You rolled your eyes at her response. But, oh well.

Suddenly, Nyx hissed at Mabel, and she looked a bit taken aback at Nyx, who was acting defensively. You looked at him, then turned back to Mabel with a smug smirk. "Oh-! It seems that the cat doesn't like you. Better try your luck next time!" You spoke in a mocking tone, and Mabel didn't receive that well. "You -" she sounded frustrated, but she could only scoff and walk away, slamming the door shut. "Tch.. humans.." Nyx muttered while he still stayed in your arms. "I know, right?" You replied, but then realized, aren't you also a human? Kind of ironic.

"You humans confuse me more than Cipher's intentions." As soon as he mentioned Bill's intentions, you raised an eyebrow at Nyx. "Bill's intentions?" You questioned, but Nyx didn't say anything for a few seconds before finally moving his head towards you, making eye contact."Yes, his intention. So confusing, yet so intriguing.." his voice had a tint of skepticism. You didn't want to be tempted, but you also wanted to know what Nyx knew about Bill. You didn't trust Bill, but you also didn't fully trust Nyx either. Who should you trust?

"Mind telling me?" You felt tempted and you wanted to know. But can you trust what he says? "Right," Nyx answered simply, he paused for a bit, but soon he let out a long sigh. "Look, I don't think you should get involved-" you cut him off before he could finish speaking. "Don't treat me like a kid, I'm already involved anyways, so just tell me." You were particularly curious how Nyx could just stare at you for a long time without blinking. "You want to know? Really?" You nodded without hesitation. You were curious, tempted to know the answer. "Well, a deal can just do the job-" You cut him off again. "No." Nyx looked at you for a bit before rolling his eyes. "At least you're cautious. But, no deal, means no information." You were wondering how many secrets you're going to deal with in less than a week.

"What if we take our minds off this stuff and hang out?" Nyx asked, finally jumping down from your arms to the floor. "Hangout? Seriously?" You didn't want to trust this guy any further, nor let him get his way. What was he planning anyway?

"Hang out! You know, like friends!" He sounded happy and enthusiastic. He didn't sound suspicious at all, but you didn't want to fall for his traps if it was one. "Don't be suspicious of me, I'm harmless!" He tried to sound reassuring, or better described as trying to look innocent. "You're a demon-" "But you trust Cipher." Silence fell in the room.

"But-" you tried to defend yourself but Nyx shushed you. "You trusted Cipher with your body, surely you're not playing favorites." This cat was playing with your mind. "Well- it's nothing like that-" Nyx scoffed at your reply. "Come on dear, trust me." You thought about it for a bit, Nyx waited patiently for your response. "Fine." You answered simply. You thought that if Nyx wanted to hurt you, possibly. He would have done it sooner, he seemed quite nice.

"Great! We shall off aboard!" Why did he sound British all of a sudden? "Okk..." you ignored his accent and just moved on. "Where to?" You asked and he smiled, seeing cats smile is actually cute, not that cats being cats is already cute enough. You soon realize why he took the form of a cat, probably for tricks and to tempt people, and humans are an easy target. (Except for people who hate cats, of course) Realization hit hard. What if he's trying to lure you? Tempt you to a deal? But then again, his actions don't seem obvious. He looked too sweet for that, or that's just an act he's trying to pull off?

"Hm.. how about the forest? Nature is unexpected, beautiful, and charming as well!" He said with such an innocent tone that your suspicions of him just wore off. "The forest? I haven't done much exploration there.." You said awkwardly. You didn't want to get lost in there. "That's why! Explore the world, you're still young and you have so much to live for-!" You started to wonder, was he actually evil? He acted like a happy-go-lucky type of demon. Seemed too happy, enthusiastic, and looks at things in a positive side."Right." You said with a nervous smile. Despite his happy attitude, your trust issues said no to this guy.

"What are we waiting for? Let's go!" As he finished speaking, he ran to the door and jumped pretty high, his paw landed on the door handle, and due to the weight, the door handle went downwards, making the door creak open slowly. "You're flexible." You said, walking closer to the door while looking down at him. "What can I say? I'm an intelligent demon with a flexible form!" Intelligent... right, of course, he's smart and probably good at manipulating- suddenly, you shook your head, you need to stop thinking pessimistically and start believing in Nyx. I mean, he doesn't seem that bad, for now- OK, you should stop thinking of bad scenarios inside your head and trust Nyx. Trust.

"Let's go then." You said quietly, not wanting to act suspicious and ruin Nyx's happy and carefree attitude. Despite you going along with the idea of hanging out with Nyx, doesn't mean that you forgot the deal with Bill. You will stay careful around him, and not make deals, as Bill said in the deal.

As you stepped out of the room, Nyx was following right behind you, it was weird to see a demon in a cat form, and nobody would know except you and Bill. Nyx seemed to notice your uneased expression and he let out a quiet sigh, he would ask you what was wrong but you two were technically out in the open, and he couldn't risk having anyone near to see a talking cat. You took a short glance at Nyx, then looked away awkwardly. "Y'know, I'm okay." He simply nodded, not saying anything.

The shack was simply put, quiet. It seemed that your two siblings were out doing something that God knows what. Ford must be doing smart things. Stan probably went off scamming people. You? Hanging out with a demon, yet you seemed to act like it was some normal activity.

Exiting the gift shop was like a new arc. Breathing in the fresh air, you almost forgot Nyx was with you until he put his paw on your leg. "You seemed to be out of it, y/n." He said quietly, probably because he didn't want anyone to see a weird phenomenon of a cat talking. You looked at him, a bit startled, but sighing nonetheless. "I guess? I mean, it's not every day I have a normal conversation with a demon." It was like a half-joke, half-serious. Nyx didn't say anything else, he just started walking without any warning.

"Hey- Nyx-?" You tried calling out to him, but he didn't stop. It was like he was expecting you to follow him. You cursed under your breath, this was the last thing you wanted from him. Yet, you were tempted and the decision was made, you started walking and catching up to him. He didn't say anything on the way, he just walked while looking around the area, but he seemed to know where he was going. "Nyx?" You still didn't give up on trying to get any bits of information on what he was doing. No answer. You gave up eventually.

After what felt like an eternity, even though it was only a few minute journey, he stopped walking. You looked down at him, and he finally spoke. "Heh.. sorry about the sudden secretive silence." He apologized, and he sounded sincere too. "It's fine." You muttered dryly. I mean, was it fine? You were kind of worried that he was leading you to a sort of trap.

"Listen," that one word made you stiff on your feet, and a shiver ran down your spine. "Don't trust Bill." That was the first time you ever heard Nyx call him by his first name. "Wha- what do you mean-" you had a confused expression on your face. This whole situation was making you confused. "Look, whatever he said about me, don't believe a word." You blinked a few times, trying to process everything. "Nyx-" you were cut short when he suddenly disappeared in a blink of an eye.

"That cat-" You took a deep sigh, calming down a little. So that all happy act was for you to follow him? Just to say that? Bill doesn't trust Nyx, and suddenly Nyx says to be careful around him. This felt like a twisted game, going round and round with no route whatsoever. Who is lying? Who isn't? Are both of them lying? You couldn't think properly, you were confused, and scared at the same time, not knowing who to trust.

"Y/n?" A voice called out, a familiar voice. You turned around to see Dipper and Mabel, going closer to you with curious expressions on their faces. "Why are you in the deep parts of the forest? You could get lost." Dipper asked, concerned and curious at the same time. "Yeah, it's unlike you," Mabel added. It was rare to see them concerned in a way, they usually just let you do your thing.

"Er- well, I just wanted to explore-" It wasn't convincing, nor that your siblings were dumb enough to believe it. They looked at each other, you didn't understand what they were trying to say to one another, but it's obvious that they didn't just take your word and ate it. "I'll just say I believe you." Dipper looked at you as he said that. Yep, they didn't take your word for it, but they also didn't dwell on it further, to your delight. Mabel on the other hand, looked at you up and down before speaking. "Where's that cat from before?" She asked while looking you in the eye for an answer. "Right right- it- just ran off- you know how cats are-! Haha-" Was that a believable laugh? Absolutely not. Luckily, Mabel didn't question further and just shrugged. "I guess," Mabel muttered under her breath, glancing at Dipper.

Before they could say any more, or ask any more questions, you skipped away and you could see them having curious glances at each other, but they didn't stop you from running away. I think you just made yourself more suspicious than you already are.

Back at the shack, you were catching your breath after running for quite some time. It wasn't helping that the weather was pretty hot and you were sweating pretty hard. You shouldn't have run, that was a pretty bad choice decision.

You felt lightheaded and standing around under the burning sun was going to make your situation worse, so you went inside the shack before your body decided to faint outside the door of the mystery shack.

Entering inside, it was pretty quiet, but it was a good thing. You slipped away from the gift shop, entered the hallway, and went upstairs to your room.

You slowly closed the door and let out a long sigh, today was confusing and exhausting. Maybe- a nap can help with it? Sounds about right, don't you say?

Not bothering to change to more comfortable clothing, you jumped to bed and looked at the ceiling blankly. Your mind wandered off to what Nyx said, was he telling the truth? Everything was so confusing rather than solvable. But, why did it feel like you were meant to be here? And, For what purpose?

?? .・゜゜・-: ✧ :-゜・.??

Bill stood in a blackscape. There were a few pieces of furniture, a couch, a TV, and anything essential like a whole kitchen set. Weirdly, everything was floating in a weird pattern. The room showed no sign of actual gravity, and windows were present, but it was just decor, just showing a blank of space outside.

Nyx was sitting on a chair, making himself comfortable, Bill only shot a glare at him before opening his mouth. "What is your purpose, Nyx?" Bill asked, an obvious tint of annoyance in his voice. "Me? Nothing." Nyx responded, doing nothing but lying on the couch. "Stop with the crap, Nyx. You always want something. You're not just doing it out of boredom." Bill didn't take 'nothing' as an answer. He needed a specific reply. "So stubborn, as always." Nyx let out a sigh, standing up from the couch and letting himself get lifted due to the lack of gravity in the room.

"Talk." Bill said straightforwardly with a piercing glare. Nyx didn't respond, he simply scratched his ear before clearing his throat. "You see, Cipher, I would say yes, but Sunflower is an interesting one. You know that already, don't you?" Nyx said with smugness in his voice.

Bill stayed quiet, before sighing and speaking up. "I always had known."
