Setting: Hallway outside Harry's Office
Trigger Warnings: Mentions of potentially violent crime
We cut to Scorpius leading Draco toward Harry's office knowing everyone remotely involved in this feud is behind the door. Draco is confused as to why Scorpius is doing this.
Draco: I still don't understand; This is the Auror's wing. I'm not an Auror.
Scorpius: Yes, but you need to talk to an Auror for this to work.
Draco: "For this to work"? What on earth are you talking about?
They stop in front of the door. Scorpius looks his father dead in the eye.
Scorpius: I need you to resolve whatever beef you have with Mr. Potter.
Draco now assumes the worst.
Draco: Wait... (suddenly angry, but not yelling) Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy, I told you to break up with that girlfriend of yours in that howler I sent!
Scorpius: I know, and I didn't.
Draco: Why not?!
A beat.
Scorpius (meaning every word): Because Lily Luna Potter is the best thing that's ever happened to me, and I love her more than anything.
Draco takes a moment to process this. He gives up.
Draco: Well, okay, yeah, fine. You can be with her all you want, but I don't see why I have to speak with Mr. Potter at the moment.
Scorpius: Because the beef you have with him is going to get us all killed.
Draco (Appalled): I- What-?!
Scorpius: All will be explained once we're inside.
With that, Scorpius knocks on the door. Albus opens it.
Albus: There you are! Come in, quick!
Scorpius and Draco follow Albus into the office to see Harry sitting at his desk. Ginny, Ron, Hermione, Gregory - grabbed by Ginny along the way - Lily, James, Rose, Louis and Simon stand around in various areas of the room. The prophecy sits on Harry's desk.
Draco (baffled): What's, uh... What's all this?
Hermione: An intervention.
Draco: Intervention?
Harry: Yeah, for both of us.
Harry motions for Draco to sit in the chair across from him. The latter does so. Scorpius and Albus walk over and stand next to their peers. It's at this time that Draco notices the prophecy and puts two and two together.
Draco: Something bad is gonna happen, isn't it?
Ron: That's what the prophecy said.
Ginny: It said if you and Harry don't make up by sunset on Sunday, we'll essentially be plunged into a third Wizarding War.
This is a lot for Draco to process. Simon speaks as the cogs in Draco's brain start to spin.
Simon: Well, I wouldn't call it a "war" perse. It's more like one person endorsing the deaths of several people, including all of you. I time-travelled here from a - very - corrupt 2040, which is how I know all this - and I know it's very hard to believe, but-
Draco: Honestly, as someone who went to school with The Boy Who Lived, this doesn't seem too far-fetched to me... (to Harry) So we have to squash whatever rivalry we currently have?
Harry: Yes, we do. With that said, I am willing to hear you out if you have any pressing issues you'd like to address.
A beat. Draco speaks.
Draco: Well, when those Neo-Death Eaters tried to infiltrate the Ministry-
Scorpius: Wait, what?! When the heck was that?!
Draco: October 2nd, 2021. Nothing too terrible happened, which is why the incident didn't make the Daily Prophet. (to Harry) Anyway, as you probably know, I was acquainted with the two perpetrators during our Hogwarts days.
Harry: Yeah, and that's why I-
Draco: Automatically assumed I had something to do with it?
Harry: Well, to an extent. The rumours must have gotten the best of me there.
Ron: I will admit, I full-on believed them.
Draco: Then how'd I not get fired?
Hermione: Because I didn't.
A beat.
Draco: Wow. Thanks, Hermione.
Hermione: No problem. Granted we all could have handled the whole coffee machine thing better.
Gregory: Like I said, Reparo is your friend.
Harry: I agree, Greg. You're absolutely right on that one. (to Draco) And, I will admit, I was a little rough on you even before the rumours started. For that, I'm truly sorry.
Draco: You know, I don't really blame you for being rough on me. I became pretty cold after the incident, and if that rubbed you the wrong way, I apologize.
Harry turns to Ron.
Harry: Ron?
Ron: Yeah?
Harry: Is there something you'd like to say to Draco?
A beat.
Ron: Yeah, there is. (to Draco): Draco, I apologize for the way I've been treating you, and I hope you can forgive me.
Hermione: I'd also like to apologize for not hearing you out sooner.
Draco: You know what? You're all forgiven.
Harry: And you know what?
Harry holds out his hand as if asking for a truce.
Harry cont.: So are you.
Draco shakes Harry's hand. James and Louis start cheering. Albus and Rose clap along with them. Scorpius and Lily embrace each other in rejoice. Tears of joy fill Simon's eyes as he realizes the world has been saved, and he will finally get to see his parents again.
