Seren Esmeray had lost count of the days she had been stuck in this stone cold cell. In the beginning, she had etched the days on the wall. Each tally mark another failed attempt to escape from the wretched place. But she had given up on that a long, long time ago. If it wasn't for her cellmate - Amren - she would have gone crazy a long time ago. Amren and Seren both came from the same universe and had been friends ever since she could remember. They had been trapped in this prison for so long that Seren had completely lost touch with what was happening outside of their own personal hell. So when two unsuspecting High Fae had wandered into the prison, they seized their only opportunity.
Both Amren and Seren had been able to lure them to their cell. As soon as they had gotten close enough, the females killed the High Fae in cold blood and transported their souls into the fae. They had walked right out of that dark hole, not sparing a glance at their inmates. It took them both a moment for their eyes to adjust to the blinding sunlight and they glanced down at themselves. Amren now had shoulder length, black hair and was quite short. Seren had blonde, almost white, long hair with sharp features. And although she was in a new body, her tattoo remained, a band of thorned branches wrapped around her forehead. Nobody would suspect what or who they were except for their eyes. Both of them had piercing silver eyes that swirled with secrets, showing they were not quite High Fae.

Seren immediately tested her powers to see if she still possessed them in this new body. Although her power was definitely dampered, she could still feel it roaming beneath her skin. She quickly bent the folds of the world and winnowed to a spot atop a rock a distance away from Amren. As she landed, Seren cleaved the rock in two with her fist. She could feel the life force of all the plants on the island. With a singular thought, she shriveled a bush and cut off its source of life. Of course, there was more to try out but for now, Seren was happy with the powers she had retained. Thanks to what she assumed centuries, stuck in the ground, she had never been in better physical shape. She felt she could run for hours and never tire or lift a person over her head with little effort. There was little to do but work out in that prison and plot on how they were to escape.

She called out to Amren and gestured for her to come over. They could faintly see a body of land far out in the distance and decided it was their best bet in finding out what had happened to Prythian while they were locked away. Seren grabbed Amren's hand and winnowed them to that body of land they had been looking at moments ago. Without looking back, they both turned and walked up the beach to whatever lay ahead of them.

They had wandered for some time before they found a city covered by some kind of boundary. Curious and never being one to back down from challenges, they broke through the barrier, entered the city, and were greeted with something that looked nothing like anything they had seen before they were forced into the prison.

Almost as soon as they had stepped inside the barrier, a huge winged male hit the ground next to them. Shadows seemed to swirl and twist around him, obscuring his face from view. He had unique blue stones strapped to different parts of his body and seemed to radiate power, "Who are you and how did you two find this place?"

AN: Hi guys! This is my first fanfic so I hope you like it. Seren is inspired by both Nesta and Manon so I hope you like her :)
