A girl in her mid of 20's was seriously writing something calculatively, seeing her laptop screen often.
She was trying to solve the reasoning puzzle for the past one hour but couldn't complete it. She was reading the puzzle again and again to check, what she was missing, but everything went in vain.
Her mobile light flashed on her face indicating a call. She looked at the mobile screen to see the call from an unknown number.
She ignored it and try to finish the puzzle but before that the call from the same number had her attention.
She paused the timer which was running on the laptop screen and attended the call.
"Hello"
"Kalyanam pannikalaama" the deep voice from the other end asked as soon as he heard her voice.
"Dei yaarda n..." She started to scold him but he cut off her.
"Adiye naa thaan di"
Recognising his voice, she asked "Neengala" nonchalantly.
"Ena di ivlo assault'a kekura"
"Pinna epdi kekanum"
"Yei naa unaku propose panren di"
"Ohh teriyuthae night 9 mani-ku athuvum call panni... Oru I love you kooda ilama.. straight'a kalyanam pannikalama va? Ipdi thaan unga oorla propose pannuvangala.. Haan?" she chided leaving him in disappointment.
"Ena sound'ae kaanum"
"Onuila" his voice become dull along with moistened eyes.
She giggled silently before saying "Aana ena panrathu.. enala atha reject panna mudilaye"
"Unaku pudikalana...(He started but stopped on recognising what she said) Hey iru ipo ena sonna nee"
"Enna sonnen" she asked innocently.
"Pch paduthatha di.. sollu ena sonna-nu"
"Vaarthai-ku vaartha di pottu kupudra... Ena thaan maama ponnu-nu urimai irunthalum velai kidachathu-ku aprom.. athuvum kalyanam pannikalama-nu kekuringa... Na epdi atthan maatenu solluven"
The word 'Atthan' from her voice, brought the tintness of red on his face, along with a smile, which grew more than usual.
"Ena fuse pona bulb marupadiyum erinjiruchu polaye"
"Yeii summa iru di" he whined closing his face as if she can see him.
"Paarda inga yaruko vekkam-la varuthu"
"Unaala thaan di.. enna romba tease panra nee"
"Naa panna koodatha atthan" she asked innocently.
"Panlamae nalla panlamae"
"Hmm" she chuckled hearing him.
"Sari madam ena panringa"
"Unga kooda thaan pesitu iruken"
"Intha nakkalu-ku onnum korachale ila... apdiye appan buthi" he murmured the last part but she heard it.
She chuckled saying "Kekuthu kekuthu"
"Kekatum enaku ena bayam'ah?"
"Oh.. apo enga appa-va enkitaye kalaaipinga?"
"Miss.Maaman magale... first enaku mama aprom thaan ungaluku appa... So basically technically practically, first preference enaku thaan"
"Hello.. Athu onum en thappila.. neenga yen enaku munnadi poranthinga"
"Apo thaana nee enaku pondati'ya varuva" his whisper made her body hairs straightened with her lips curve upward, closing her eyes for a moment.

"Ena tit for tat ah?" She wriggled her eyebrows bitting her lower lips.
"Apdi open'ah solla mudiyathu.."
"H-a-a-n" she rhymed.
"Oru yugam'a sollalam"
"Hmm.. romba thaan" she twisted her lips as if he could see her.

"Exam-ku prepare panitu irunthen boss" she replied sulkily.

"Oru puzzle boss... oru. oru mani neram'ah en mandai'ya thinguthu pa"
"Cool down madam... I will help you" he said earning a hum from her.
"Read out loud stressing every word... Mark the hints.. And picturise it"
She did as he said, after 10 minutes she finished it and squealed in joy.
"Heyy"
"Ada kathatha di.. veetula yaarum thoonga venama"
"Pch.. solve aagiduchu bossey"
"Ipo ethula miss panna-nu solu"
"Athu oru line-la 'to' ah 'by' nu naanae ninachitu irunthuruken"

"Eee sorry... Friends kuda pesi palagiduthu... Chi palagiduchu"
"Athu sari... Avanga kooda sernthu vegetarian'ah maaratha vara enaku prechana ila"
"Maaten maaten"
"Atthanu kaga va di" he asked excitedly.
"Cha cha... Vegetarian'ah maarita parotta epdi saapudrathu..."
"Athaana sariyana parotta paithyam di nee"
"Sari sari pothum ithuku mela pona parotta is not good for health-nu advice panna start paniruvinga... Naa vaikuren.."
"Nallathu sonna kekurathae ila"
"Pch.. Good Night" she cut off his speech.
"Ada iru di"
"Sollunga"
"Naa unga veetula pesa solla poren... Enga appa'va.. so ready'ah iru kalyanathu-ku"
"Already ready'ah thaan irukom" she said in very low tone.
"Ena di munangura" he asked as he couldn't hear her.
"Onuila.. neenga pesunga... Aana enaku oru 6 months time venum"
"Ohhoo.. Ethukunga"
"Engalukum invitation-la working-nu poda aasa irukatha.."
"Ohh apdi... 6 months pothungala"
"Aama pa exam notification vanthuruchu... Intha time kandipa clear paniruven"
"En pondati velaiku pona enakum peruma thaan.."
"Hmm"
"Incase intha attempt-la mudilana"
"Adutha attempt-la pass panna vaika thaan neenga irukingale... Solli thara maatingalakum.. let me try one last time by myself" he smiled at her statement.
"Sari di naa pesikuren... Exam mudiyura vaara unna yaarum disturb pannama paathukuren... Aana intha attempt la ye clear panniru di.. en chellam-la"
"Athu Yen" she asked dubiously.
"Pinna kalyanam panna aprom atthan kooda romance pannave unaku time pathathu chellakutty....(she smacked her forehead with a blush 'Ivara') Ne ena da na book kuda jolly panna plan podura... Intha time'ae I will guide you... Clear panra nee.. okay va"
"Okay" her voice was low and it is enough for him to find her state. Her blushing face came in his mind to bring a wide smile on his face.
"Sari bye good night"
"Athukullaya" asking, she looked at the time which is half passed 10.
"Madam poi thoongunga morning sharp 4'o clock.. Naa call panuven... Enthiruchu current affairs padikura puriyutha?"
"Periya military ivaru" she mumbled so that he couldn't hear it.
"Yei ena thitunathu pothum poi thoongu di"
"Avlothaana" she whined blandishly.
"Vera ena" he asked in stern voice.
"Poya loosu" saying so, she declined the call abruptly.
After hearing a beep indicating that the call had ended. He took the mobile from his ears and said "Poya va ena posukunu mariyatha ilama pesita" looking at the mobile screen.
"Aana ithuvum nalla thaan ya iruku... Poya va iruku di unaku" he hit his forehead with the mobile shooking his head with a smile.
Leaning on the railings, he looked at a star which was shining brighter than the others and blow a kiss towards it with a wink and a smile.
Chuckling within himself, he started to speak with that star. "Ena Maams... sirikura... enga paiyan'ah.. enga kita'ye thirumbi vara ready'ah iru... sariya?"
He frowned asking "Vanthuruvala? Varuva... Varanum", he finished his sentence sternly.
"Miss you maams" he whispered with tear filled eyes.
The one who was brought up by his mother since his father left them with their family, far away for his job and visits them only twice or thrice in a year.
His maternal uncle become his constant support. He was his strength, his weakness, his partner in crime, his guardian, his angel, his support system, his bodyguard, his well wisher, his hero, and why not? His bestest friend.
Maternal uncle is not just an another relation, he will be both mother and father, if he knows the true meaning of it.
But everything turned upside down when his uncle left this world abruptly.
'Adutha nimisham nichayam ilatha vazhakai nga'
It's indeed true.
That day he promised himself to took care of his uncle's family as he did to them and keep up it, till now.
Now marrying his daughter, it was his uncle's unasked promise.
Some promises remain silent yet trust worthy.
That doesn't mean he is sacrificing his life for his promise, he too love the girl who resembles his maams in both appearance and character.
Moreover, his uncle's choice never made him regret.
While on the other side, she looked at the same star through the window and a lone tear escaped from her eyes, when she whispered "Miss you paa".
Every girl's first love and first hero will be her father. She was broken completely when she came to know, her father is no more.
But later she realised, he didn't leave her alone. His confidant is here to take care of them.

He knows she loves him and she knows he loves her. They love eachother but didn't voice out.
He asked for her hand only when he felt he will be able to run a family independently.
What quality will a girl ask for her man other than this ?
Waiting for someone is worth if it is for a right person.
Indeed her father's choice for her will be the best of bestest.
That night other than them, one person will be the most happiest person, if he was alive.
