"is it on? okay it's on, hey vlog it's brooke. it is currently 4:43 am." i said turning on my phone and showing the camera in front of me mounted on my desk, the time. i set my phone down, "it's very very early, i went out last night with steph and took her out to dinner at carbone and didn't come home until 12:30-ish."
"not the smartest idea i've had that's for sure." i said with a laugh.
"so i'm currently putting on moisturizer on my face because i am going on a flight in about.." i tapped on my phone and checked the time once again. "an hour and a half to vancouver. i'm going to go see my boyfriend which i am very happy about."
"it still feels so weird to publicly say i have a boyfriend since i didn't confirm it for a little while and just avoided the question all together, but i am glad you guys all know now since i hated keeping it from you guys. but that's beside the point. i'm going to vancouver to meet his family for the first time which i am quite scared about but i'm also so excited to finally meet his brothers since i haven't had the chance to just yet. very excited for the next couple of days."
"the flight is a little more than five hours from nyc to vancouver, so i definitely should catch up on my sleep during the flight but to be honest i rather watch netflix or read a book. again not the smartest idea i've ever had." i said laughing once again.
"last night i tweeted saying i was going on a flight or was on one, not sure of which one i did, but i made sure to do it last night so that people would respond because if i were to tweet it right now. it's 4 am, not a single person would respond."
"i feel like i've been rubbing in this moisturizer for the past thirty minutes so now, i am going to put on this hydrating serum, the brand is dr. barbara strum. it is quite pricey so if you ever need a hydrating serum do not feel obligated to buy this one because there are tons of more affordable options out there on the market."
"you guys are all probably wondering why i'm putting on so many hydrating products and i need all the moisture i can get since my skin gets so dry when i fly anywhere. no matter the climate of the destination, since the cabin pressure of a plane is very low in the air and i naturally my skin is more dry than oily."
"but i'm probably going to end up showing up at the airport looking like a slimy slug but it's going to be totally worth it."

i flipped the camera to steph and zoomed in on her face. "say bye to the vlog pookie."
"bye." steph said grumpy because of how early it still is before closing the window and driving away.
"made it to the airport, steph just dropped me off. still very early, i have about an hour before i board. or so i think i do." i said walking to the check in area.
"but this is the set up, my rimowa suitcase, and my tote bag from goyard. my literal child, we love her." i said showing the camera. "i probably look like a bozo right now holding a camera in front of my face at 5 am but hey, anything for you guys."

"kinda forgot to vlog after making it past tsa, whoopsie, but.." i said setting the camera on the counter in front of my seat. "made it onto the plane, sitting in first class on jet blue. one of the most underrated airlines there is, flight will be non-stop thank god. and it is currently 6:07." showing the camera the time on my phone once again.
"i ended up getting a hot white mocha with whip, from starbucks and i think i'm going to watch either gossip girl or read a book. probably read a book since i haven't had too much time to read lately."
"i brought two options, first is this book named normal people by sally rooney. stephanie recommended me it, she said it was amazing so i bought it at the airport bookshop before boarding."
"life lesson, if you see a bookstore. you have to go and check it out no matter if you are on a book buying ban or if you already have a billion books at home. a life lesson from yours truly, brooke."
"second we have american psycho, very very graphic from what i've been told. i love how the books i brought are total opposites from each other, but i'm not too much in the mood to read a graphic book right now since i'm surrounded by too many people. so i think i'll end up going with normal people."
i flipped to the end of the book, "it's only 273 pages so it's not too long. i read the description and some reviews on goodreads, made sure they were spoiler free and from what i read it's very intriguing. but it could turn out to be a total bust so we'll see, i'll try and give mini updates throughout the flight, but i forgot to update the vlog earlier and didn't so no promises."
"it is now 7:45 new york time, made it to 70 pages. very very interesting, the author uses no quotation marks for the dialogue so it's definitely a change but the author does a good job making sure to show when they are conversing so that's very helpful. so far would recommend, i think it has potential to become a five star read. which is like unheard of from me, since i'm such a harsh critic. but so far amazing, i'm trying not to say too much since i don't want to somehow spoil it in any way. but i will see you guys soon."
"11:26, just finished the book a couple minutes ago. needed a couple minutes to process the ending but it completely blew me expectations away, and that's incredible i had really expectations and i do that to myself a little too much."
"definitely a five star read without a doubt. love the ending a lot since it's a popular trope that to be honest no one likes to read about it's so, so i don't anything that'll spoil it." i say laughing.
"not gonna say which one though since that's for you guys to figure out on your own if you guys want to read the book. i ended up crying a little, you can kinda tell because my eyes are a bit red and puffy."
"we only have about a little less than an hour before we land, i should probably change to vancouver time so i can get familiar with it. what even is the time difference? geez, i should probably google it. i'm such a bad traveler. like imagine not even checking the time differences before booking a damn flight, please do that before you fly anywhere. don't be a bozo, don't be me."
"just googled the time difference, it's 3 hours, so it's about 9 over there.a little of a change, definitely going to be incredibly jet lagged later tonight but i should probably text my boyfriend to wake up, because i'm pretty sure he's still asleep. typical jack, but he deserves his beauty sleep."
"other than that i will see you guys later, probably gonna knock out for the rest of the flight to catch up on some of the sleep i am missing."

"for the record i did not make him say any of that. but i have made it to vancouver. my first time being here, so firstly i'd like to say, or rather sing. ooooooo canadaaaaaa." i started singing making jack laugh.
"typical brooke behavior if anyone was wondering."
"yes very. we should we get some food right now, i kinda want tims since we're in canada."
"you know they exist in the us right?" jack asked.
"yes but come on we're in canada we have to get tims, it's the law. are there even any tim's in vancouver?"
"why wouldn't there be any?"
"your acting like if this isn't the first time i've ever been to vancouver, ugh your such a gaslighter. see this is what my boyfriend is really like, he's a hockey star who is really a big douchy bitch who's so annoying and has no life and has a very annoying best friend who also has no life."
jack started bursting out in laughter. "i can't wait till trevor sees this vlog." jack chimed in.
"he watches my vlogs?" i asked concerned.
"sadly he does." he responded.
"yeah, that not gonna work out...bye vlog have a good life!" i said pretending to shut it off, covering the camera lense with my hand, making him laugh.
"no i'm kidding we love trevor zegras over here." i said before both of us bursted out into laughter knowing i was joking.

"hell yeahhh." luke said grabbing my camera and walking in front of me and jack, "sup guys the superior hughes brother here. with the two less important ones walking behind me. we just finished having dinner at this fancy steakhouse, shout out to gentleman jack for paying for all the food i devoured."
"i purposely made sure to order the wagyu since he was paying but don't tell him that." luke said whispering into the camera.
"we're just walking around vancouver, but i should start one of these vloggy channels, if hockey doesn't work out for me. but i should go annoy my brother. quinnnnn!!!!!! say hi to the vloggy camera."
"woah the whole thing is kinda in my face, but hello."
"he's third wheeling those morons," luke said pointing the camera to me and jack walking together.
"i think that's enough for tonight," quinn said taking the camera from luke and handing it to me.

"it is currently 3 in the afternoon and i just showered. me and jack ordered room service before he left, but tonight's devils game starts at 7 and i'm just going to start getting ready since luke is picking me up at 6."

"but first let me show you guys the fit, it's honestly very basic but it'll do. first is this cropped white top, very basic i know. and then these straight-legged blue jeans, with my black north face puffer, and with my new babies, my jordan 1 bloodlines. i got them last week and it's the perfect opportunity to wear them for the first time."
