5 Months after Ryo got out of Juvie
In a short span of the past five months, Ryo managed to climb to the top. He started a new gang, a new beginning, a new life.
He did everything for his desires, he did what he wished for inside those four years. He did things on his own, unlike his sibling who couldn't even help herself to recover her mental state.
Who couldn't even build herself, who didn't improve in the past four years. At least that's what Ayato has been telling him.
She's been the same, he then thinks that maybe she needs other people's help to get what she desires. A perfect life.
He always believed that all of his fears in this world aren't evil, it's what drives him to know why and what's his weakness. Thus, the reason for what he's fighting for.
On why is he still weak, that's what he felt inside juvie, he was feeling fear. The fear of losing and being told on how to live his life.
He hated it that's why he has to bring a new era of delinquents with the equivalent exchange.
In every action you do, there is a corresponding consequence. This is why he would never attack or go against his promises, words, and agreement with you. If you didn't do something to upset him. He is careful of his actions.
He knows that there must be something to repay for the sins of a man. That if you seek for war, then he'll give you the equivalent judgment. Death.
If anyone knows in Roponggi of a certain person who is a man of his words. That'll be Ryo since he is the one who introduced that law to everyone.
If you want peace, then I'll give it. Only if you did the same. Then there will be no problems.
No one will get hurt, no one will. That's the world he wanted, where you always have to pay for the toll of your actions.
Ryo has paid enough. He spent his life in Juvie and abandoned his old self.
To move into the future, one must forget their past and the people inside it. They were only lessons in his life, that is to never, trust anyone even if you're a family.
He had enough of everyone being hurt, which is why equivalent exchange exists.
It was highly known throughout Roppongi in the early months of his reign. Many would laugh at his proclamation and none dares to follow it.
Roy filled in anger, decided to have the last laugh. The payment that you put against his beliefs is nothing but his fist.
Like a ruler of the heavens who marks you to die if you go against his law.
A very vile man, is now walking free. On his way now to a town cemetery who has a bottle of beer with his right hand.
Wearing his usual black attire while leaving a trail of smoke. Then he stopped and throws his cigs on the cement and stepped on it. He saw a familiar figure, a hooded man sitting next to the grave that he was about to visit.
He sat next to the man and the wind blew quietly. On a moonless night, only the rustling of leaves can be heard.
"What is someone like you doing here?" The man in a hood broke the silence and even offered another cigarette.
"You didn't age well, lets move on to the past, shall we? I'm not the foe here today, Hanma Shuji." Ryo said and accepted the offer from Hanma's hand.
The man next to him removed his hood showing his long black hair with blond streaks on the front. He then showed his usual smirk and threw his lighter into Ryo's hand.
"I heard 'bout his death which is why I came here, I was in Juvie for four years if you didn't heard." Ryo added and lit his cigs.
"I did, it was a tough time for your sibling Ayato. I always see him go there, and I managed to apologize. My guts couldn't take it. Kisaki went way too far." Hanma said and caressed his hair.
"Thanks, for talking to him. At least he had heard an apology." Ryo replied and released a smoke.
"Do you have any other motives aside from visiting the man who got you caught up in the mess and end up in juvie?" Hanma asked again.
Ryo was caught off guard when Hanma asked him about his other motive, he though that 'did he know i killed kisaki?'
"Nothing that much, I just wanted to see his grave and unexpectedly an old face and enemy, however, may I ask are you suspicious about me as a killer of your friend?" Ryo answered, while opening his beer.
Hanma laughed, "What are you talking about? Of course not. He died in a truck accident."
Ryo drank his beer while trying to hide his smirk, he doesn't even know that the person who made that accident possible is sitting right next to him.
He lowered his guard to Hanma, since he knows nothing. An ignorant man who is standing with eyes wide open. That the answer to everything of he lost is right in front of him.
"You see, there is so few people that you barely know, and the more you barely know them is enough drive for you to stay and know about them." Hanma said bitterly while staring at Kisaki's grave.
"However it's much more regretful losing a person that you barely know because the fun hasn't started yet and the fun got spoiled by Kisaki's death." He continued and ended with a sigh.
"Same goes for me, on that day. The day when hell burned my house and family. Everything got spoilt and left my grasp. You know Hanma, there are also some things that we cannot control. The more you seek fun with that person, the shorter their time with you." Ryo said and wiped his lips.
"Time flies so fast when you're having fun, the more you control to let that fun stay for longer. The more it eats your sanity, to the point where you'd do anything again to be with them. However, according to the laws of science i cannot return back the burned house." Ryo finished and stood up.
What Ryo was trying to say to Hanma is just the same as what he said about barely knowing someone. That he also cannot return Kisaki's life, therefore man has to always be ready for the payment of his actions to life.
No matter what kind of chasing of happiness they do, it'll end in a dead-end. A path to always paying something in return, he cannot go back to the same world again after the trigger.
But he thanks Hanma in his head. All he needed was to lose his humanity and make his desires as a living truth.
Their words clearly connects to each other. On their actions, on the burning day. They both lost something, the fun ended with dawn.
"I'll take note of that, thanks. So what'll you do for now? Aside from ascending to the tops." Hanma asked to the man who stood still.
It The man then grabbed something inside of his coat pocket, then offered a piece of paper to Hanma. "If you wanted refuge and seek fun feel free to join my side I'll welcome you soon." With his last words, Hanma accepted the card.
And just like that, Ryo once again. Disappears from Hanma's sight. Just like the day of flames who ate his future.
As what the world contradicts, there will be always two different sides of the coin.
Where one knows too much, and the other remains ignorant, fugitive, and lost.
None of them have a good future with how they use the sides they have.
With Ryo having to know too much doesn't mean he knows the value of family again.
To Hanma, who still remains ignorant and vagabond. Who doesn't know that the side is showing him the whole truth, he just needs the light. And the time where he stops fixing other people's fucked up life.
No one is safe from the equivalent exchange, Ryo is aware of it. The more he goes against the nature of life is the nearer the end of his reign.
He is no longer human, a man who doesn't feel remorse, only the feeling of fear is alive inside him. The day he fears that his sister continues to live, only in the arms of a man who also faults her.
In the end, he would always think that revenge is sweet to those who can't see the truth.
Where the equivalent payment of Hanma being involved in the fire might be his lover's death.
