Amelia's POV
Tonight is the biggest night of my life: the night that the Prince's bride will finally be chosen.
"My lady?" The servant called for me
"I've come to fetch you, my lady it is time. I peeked into the throne room, it seems the entire world is here to see who the king will choose to marry his son. Are you ready" she said
"Am I? I'm the ordinary girl who should've never been allowed to compete for the Prince's hand." I said
"And yet you made it this far" she said
"Now I just need to find out if I'll be chosen to marry the love of my life... or if he'll be betrothed to another" I said

"Welcome back to the Royal inside we're you get all your Royal news. We're live outside the palace of Castile, where an entourage of America's most eligible bachelorettes are arriving! These girls have been invited to the vie for the most coveted man of the century: the prince himself. In the time-honoured tradition, his father, King Noah of Castile, will name the woman to become his son's bride. Let's go see if we recognise any of the lucky girls!" The reporter announced
"My god! It's lady Cordelia of Castile, the Queen's goddaughter! Tell us, how do you feel about being invited to compete to be the Prince's bride?" The report asked
"I was born for this role. I've been training to be a princess since BIRTH, so my statement is for the other girls you may as well pack your bags." Lady Cordelia said
"A notable absence was Prince Theodred himself. According to our sources, the prince has not been seen in weeks. So who knows what the Prince is thinking" The reporter said through my phone
"Amelia" mum called out as I turn off the video I was watching
Hi I'm Amelia Rosé Crystal but my friends call me rosé yes I'm in Blackpink. I'm Aussie well I was born in Australia but my mum is Korean and my dad is Australian.
Blackpink was on holiday since Ayana has had her baby and Mikasa and Kassie are relaxing with there fiancés so we're on break for a bit so I signed up for some cooking jobs and I was top of my class so the gave me a job in the palace
They send me to America to the palace of Castile to cook and bake for the royals well that how I got in this whole prince's bride mess But I will tell you the whole story.
I was at my dads and mums holiday home in America getting ready to leave to my apartment that was closer to the palace
"Sweetheart" my dad called
"Yeah dad" I called back
"Come on your gonna be late to your first shift at the palace of Castile" he said As I walked downstairs with my bags
"Soon you'll be in the palace of Castile and you'll hear all the royal gossip" mum said
"Yeah yeah I don't need anymore gossip k-drama is enough" I said
"Well this will be different to k-poping so be good" dad said
I left for my apartment and move my stuff in and then left to head to the castle of Castile
I was in the line to get my name mark off the list
"What's is your name and Purpose of being here" One of the guards asked
"I'm Amelia Crystal the new assistant pastry chef" I answered
"Confirmed she on the list" the other guard confirmed
"Here I'll show you to the grand foyer" He said
~I followed him~
"Wait here and someone will see you through to the kitchen" He said leaving me alone

"Amelia is it" ????? Said
"Huh oh yeah hi" I said
"I'm Sylvia the head pastry chef" Sylvia said
"Oh nice to meet you" I said
"Your degree is impressive top of your classes in culinary school" She said
"Thank you so much one day I hope to open my own bakery it's always been my dream to share my passion with the world" I said
Then the queen walked in and Sylvia curtseyed same as I
"Have you see my son? I cannot locate him anywhere" The Queen asked
"Apologies your majesty I have not" Sylvia answered
"Ugh these games are becoming tiresome" The queen said
"Good day to you" She said
"Good day your majesty" Me and Sylvia said as we bowed again
"Well done for curtsying their majesties expect the upmost respect at all times come along now" Sylvia said
Sylvia to toured me around the Palace
"Now the kitchen is at the end of these doors it's security locked so you will need your ID card to open it" She said
"My ID card" I answered
"Yes didn't they give you a staff ID card at the front security desk?" She asked
"No... They didn't" I answered
"Ok then make your way to the kitchen and I'll go get it from the security office" She said clearly annoyed
I walked off but not to the kitchen
"This does not look like a kitchen" I said
"Who are you...?" ???????? asked
"Your... your" I said
"Prince Theodred of Castile and you are" Theo said
"I- I'm" I studded out
I remember Sylvia of words and I know I need to curtsy but I feel my feet locked in place but he reached out his hand and touch of my arm then I feel a shiver run down my spine as if his fingers brushed my skin
"Please what's your name?" He asked again
"My name is..." I said
I tried to speak but his piercing gaze pinned me and holds me captive I was completely lost within his exquisite bluey green eyes...
"My name is..." I said again but I didn't get to finish cos Sylvia interrupted me
"What are you doing here?" Sylvia said
"Oh your highness my apology for her it's her first day"
"I was just asking her name" He said
"You do not need to bother with that your highness your mother is looking for you" She said
"Well will be out of your hair come along" Sylvia said
Sylvia hurry's me out the room but I couldn't help glancing back one last time his greeny blue eyes bore into me until I turn the corner severing whatever connection I just had coursing through my veins like electricity.
^ Later that night^
I laid wake in bed trying to make my brain turn off but instead it keeps replaying that moment I shared with the prince. The way his fingers fell when they touch my skin my whole body seems to tingle the heat radiating from my arm.
"I need some fresh air that will clear my head" I said
I got dressed and went outside when a motorbikes zoom pass me covering me in a puddle
"Hey watch where your driving" I yelled at it
"I'm sorry are you hurt?" ???????? said
"No I'm not hurt but.." I said as he took off His helmet
"Oh my god it's you! your highness" I said
"Wait you're the girl from earlier at the palace" Theoderd said
"What are you doing out so late alone" He asked
"I could ask you the same thing" I answered
*Holy shit did I just say that out loud*
"Yeah yeah you could... but I don't really want to say I'm not supposed to be outside the Palace right now I'll appreciate if you didn't tell anyone" He said
"I wouldn't Your Highness it's not my place" I said
"It's just Theo or Theoderd and I never caught your name" He said
"Oh yeah your high- Sorry Theo I'm sorry I'm Amelia, I can't believe I shouted at you before I don't always have a filter" I said a bit embarrassed
"I found it honestly refreshing" He said
"I guess that's good because I can pretty much guaranteed that will do it again" I said
"Sorry I'm not laughing at you I just- I've been having pretty miserable day and now that twice you've managed to brighten it... I thank you for that Amelia" He said
"Oh that's quite alright" I said shivering
"Your shivering! Oh my god I completely drenched you with that damn puddle! I feel terrible please let me at least try and make it up to you, here take my jacket" He said heading me his jacket
"Thank you that's caring of you" I smiled
"It looks way better on you then it does me anyway but honestly I don't think I have done enough yet" He said
"What do you mean?" I asked
"Well are you hungry?" He asked
"Well yeah I guess" I answered
"I know this great little dinner not far from here they make the best cheeseburgers in Castile" He said
"That sounds amazing" I answered
"You can ride on the back of my bike don't worry I will watch where I drive and Ill go slow this time I've got precious cargo" He said
I can't get over how surreal it feels racing through the streets of Castile with Prince Theodred under nothing but the night sky and the dim street lights cheek against his back the cool wind in my face making me more aware that I am alive than I've ever felt in a long time
"Hold on tight" He said as he speeds up
We got there in no time
Me and Theo sit back in the dinner Booth full and happy
"Wow you're right burger was amazing" I said
*I can't believe I'm sitting with the prince eating a cheeseburger for god sake a cheeseburger I like this style*
"When I was little one day my dad took me outside the Palace and we came here to eat we got these burgers" he said
"You've only had this burger once" I said
"Yeah it's honestly very rare that I have any time to go anywhere... my life is very regimented Duty to the Crown come first" He said
"I know it's not good he same but I kind of feel the same" I said
"Why" He asked
"Oh well my mum never really had a lot of money so I've had jobs from as early as I can remember trying to help out we scrapped by so I could go to school and now I'm hopefully be able one day to open my own bakery and pay her back I've always had that sense of Duty to her well to our family ever since I was a kid" I said
"That's exactly it you feel almost like you had to go up to fast" He said
"Like you never got to have a childhood" I said
I finished his sentence and feel a blush rising on my cheek Theo bites his lip and looks away
"Can I tell you a secret" Theo asked
"Definitely" I answered
"I've never spoken to anyone before who doesn't walk on eggshells everyone averts their eyes and bows" He said
"You are just... you! You speak confidently but you're also so kind and compassionate honestly from when I first saw you I was transfixed and I was right you're not like any girl I've ever met before there's something so different about you something so real" He said
"Thank you! Can I ask you a question now?" I asked
"Of course" He answered
"Where were you going tonight in such a rush?" I asked
a dark looks spreads over Theo's Face
"Tomorrow the competition for who I will be forced to marry begins so at sunrise my life no longer belongs to me. There's this cliff jumping spot at eremite falls ever since I was a kid I've been begging my parents to go but I was never allowed. Tonight something in me just said screw it go that's where I was going when I ran into you I guess I just wanted to feel..." He said
"A moment of pure freedom" I said as he looked up at me surprised
"Exactly when I left the Palace tonight all I was expecting was to go to eremite falls but then I ran into you and" He said
"And what?" I asked
"Do you believe in things like that?" He asked
"Fate? I believe in fate and timing" I said
"I just feel like I was meant to meet you" He said
"You know we have to do this Theo now right? You waited your whole life to do that jump. You deserve to spend your last night a freedom taking the leap" I said
"You will come with me right??" He asked
He takes my hand and my stomach flips as a volt of electricity travels between my fingers
"That would mean so much honestly now that I've met you I can't imagine me doing this without you" He said
"Let's do this then" I answered
We climb through the thick bushes and arrived at the tall fence surrounding eremite falls
"Are you doing ok" He asked
"You don't have to worry about me" I answered
"I can tell you're strong I wasn't worried I'm actually having fun for the first time in forever" He said
He grinned at me and I bit my lip before turning back to the fence
"Will you give me a boost?" I asked
"Of course" He answered
He boost me up then followed behind me and we walked up the Clift from the top of the cliffs the view was outstanding
"Wow" I said
"It's breath-taking" He said
The warm summer night breeze crest my skin as Theo reached for my waist the water look cool calm and refreshing as the stars shine on the surface if the water
"Should we jump" He asked
"Let's jump at the very same time though" I answered
"I love that idea" He said
We jumped in just a underwear but I had a bra on
"I can't believe we just did" I said
"I know feel how fast my heart is beating" He said
Theo Snakes his arm around my waist and then pulls me in close. I place my hand on his heart and feel it hammering my fingers trace his toned bicep and I feel my own heart matching his beep for beat as I feel my cheeks growing heated.
"I don't think I've ever done anything so spontaneous before I feel so alive thank you thank you for doing this with me" He said
"It was so much fun we should do it again sometime" I said
Back on the beach we changed back into our clothes and watch the waves crashing down on the shore and for the first time tonight Theo is quiet
*He's lost in thought I should ask him if he's ok*
"Are you ok Theo" I asked
"Sorry... I was just kind of lost in for thinking about how mazing it would be to do this every night" He said
"I don't think my heart could take cliff jumping every night but I could go for a movie or something" I answered
"You also wish they could be in next time?" Theo asked
"Of course I've had more fun tonight then I've ever had before" I answered
"But the only way would be..." He said
"Would be what?" I asked
"Do you know much about the competition starting tomorrow?" He asked
"I know there will be a lot of ladies arriving at the palace all wanting to be chosen as your bride" I answered
"No they all want to be chosen as the future queen not a single woman there know the real me or give a damn about who I am all they want is the crown unfortunately I just happen to be attached to it" He said
"I'm sorry" I said
"Do you know that the king is the one who gets choose the girl I marry? I don't even have any say it at all the only thing I get is a single signet ring" He said
"What is a signet ring?" I asked
"It acts as an invitation to the Palace it's a symbol of our house our lineage any woman in possession of a signet ring of the crown of Castile may compete to be my bride and therefore the next Queen" He said
"That sounds like something out of our black and white movie but we why do you still have the ring? Shouldn't you have given it a way to some duchess or princess" I said
"I still have it because I've never found anyone I wanted to invite I've never met anyone who see the real me not until tonight" He says whispering the last bit under his breath
"Huh pardon" I said
"I was just saying the sun will be up soon so I should drive you home" He said
"Oh... Ok thank you" I said
Theo drives me home and I hug him extra tight desperately aware of how fast time is slipping through my fingers. He leans into my embrace and I take a deep breath inhaling his deep, heady scent, closing my eyes. If these are my last moments with Theo I will make a vow to make the most of them... To never forget.
Back at my apartment building a breeze sends a chill down my back as he pulls me in for a hug. For a moment I wonder what it would be like to feel his strong arms holding the everyday.
"Thank you for tonight. It was honestly the best night I have ever had in my life. You told me that you believe in fate. I think after tonight I do too" He said
"What do you mean" I asked
He says nothing but his beautiful blue Greeny eyes meet with my piercing gaze and I wonderful for a second if he was going to kiss me
Instead he bent down to kiss my hand I feel myself come alive his lips burning me up like a brand
"Thank you for the best night of my life" He said
He turns away. I feel a tug in my stomach like gravity is pulling me towards him as he turns and walks away and just like that it's over he mounts his bike and disappears into the night as I stand clutching my heart silently saying goodbye to the only man I've ever met who made it skip a beat. Back in my bedroom I reach for my phone in my back pocket and feel something I don't recognize
"What is this" I said
