heizou pov.
'where am i again?'
i still could feel the heaviness on my eyelids. and i was yawning like crazy, then i remembered i was sleeping with y/n.
"where they go? left me without saying goodbye?"
i was sad now. no way they would just leave me!
"im still here, silly."
i heard the voice of my dearest.
"Y/NNNN!!"
"SLOW DOWN YOU'RE GOING TO TRIP!"
i ended up tripping but, lucky i landed in my dearest's arms.
"i told you.."
i put the biggest smile i could. i always knew they liked my smile. they smiled back and i could feel my cheeks getting hot.
"i only have a little time till i go."
i suppressed a small frown.
"i'll be so lonely."
it was quiet, i look up at them to see a sad but heartwarming smile.
"i promise to be back."
they kissed the top of my head. i smiled leaning in closer to their lips. know they will never break their promise.
"let's go, i've made breakfast."

i free myself from their arms and ran to their kitchen. one day i hope it will be our kitchen. i haven't even thought about how i should make our relationship go farther, maybe...nO! shikanoin heizou get your head out the gutter!!
"are you alright heizou? you haven't touched the food..i'm thinking it's not too good."
was i really just standing here? my thoughts are going wild nowadays.
"sorry, my dearest! i was just thinking of..something."
i sat down on a chair and just when i was about to taste their food they put their hand on mine.
"you can tell me whats on your mind."
yeah this subject i probably can't tell you. just thinking about those..lewd things is NOO! NO MORE THINKING JUST EAT BEFORE THEY LEAVE!!!
"i-it's nothing! anyway im going to try your food now."
the dish looked like a cake but flat with some kind of brown sticky thing. what if it's sticky poop. i was going to just stick my utensil into the cake and just eat it whole.
"i think you should cut it up a bit, heizou."
oh is that why there is a knife?
"alright..but um what's this brown sauce?"
"oh it's syrup. and not chocolate syrup it's kinda eeh."
i grab the knife and start slicing it into pieces. then, i pick up one with my utensil and eat it.
"WAOH THIS IS INCREDIBLE!"
the dish was amazing something i never ate before!
"seems like you like it."
"MMHM!"
after he gobbled the dish up.

"ah~ that was delicious! say what was the name again?"
my dearest was just making sure they had everything for their trip.
"the name is pancakes."

i had gotta up from my chair and walked up to them and put my arms around them.
"thannk yooou. also i would love to know how to make pancakes."
they had turned around and was now facing me.
slowly our faces got closer together.
just a few inches away we were going to kiss.

we both jolted at the sudden bang.
"why do they have to bang so aggressively??"

i walked over to the door and there stood ms baiwen.
'why she knock so loud? did she not think she we would hear her?'
"hello detectives. its now time for y/n to travel to liyue."
"aww man.."
"cheer up heizou. i promise to be back as soon as i can!"
i sigh knowing there is no way that they're backing out of this case.
"then i shall help! i will get your stuff."
i go to get their belongings and a paper fell out.
"how..to make...pancakes."
i read that so slow. i cant read.
i walked back to the front door and saw my dearest and ms baiwen talking.
"oh heizou you're back!"
"hello detective."
i wave to them, smiling.
"let's get going, we wouldn't wanna be late for lady ningguang."
ms baiwen left the entrance of the door out to the end of the docks quickly me and y/n followed.
you can see the big boat in the distance and wow.
once we reached the boat a lady with long, dark brown hair, with a eye patch approach us.
"hey there! i'm captain beidou. now who am i taking on my boat?"
"you're taking me. hello, i am detective y/n! i was requested from lady ningguang."
"ah yes."
she then looked over to me.
"and who may you be?"
"hello my name is heizou. i am a detective like y/n. but i am not going on this trip with my dear."
i waved to her. she seems like a great person.
"are you two a thing?"
woah she smart. wait.. i said something didnt i? i looked over at y/n a tint of red on their face. giving the sign that it's alright to tell her.
"yes we are."
"aw sad that you two can't go together. i promise to take them across sea safely."
i smiled. thank the archons they aren't going with some drunk guy..
"beidou, have you found the person we are taking?"
a soft but kinda raspy voice said appearing behind captain beidou.
"hey kazuha! and yes i did they're right here. y/n meet kazuha."
they stared at each other for a while.
"hello, my name is detective y/n!"
"a pleasure to meet you detective."
i swear to god if this boy tries to steal my dear.
no.. i trust that they won't leave me.
"seems like there is a storm coming. let's get your stuff on the boat and we can take sail!"
"alright captain."
i put away my dear's things and went to find them.
they were with the kazuha dude talking and i didn't wanna listen to there conversation. so i pretend that i was looking for them.
"DEARR!!"
i heard the pitter patter of them.
"i'm here! sorry i was talking with kazuha about some things."
"it's alright but now it's time for us to be separate from each other."
"i'll see you later, 'kay?"
they nodded and kissed my cheek. i wanted more but they had to go now. then, i took my leave off the boat and waited till the boat was not parked anymore.
the anchors went out the water and the crew was doing whatever crews do.
and will that the slowly sailed away. slowly though.
"BYEBYE HEIZOUU!"
i heard them scream at me.
"GOODBYE Y/N! I'LL SEE YOU SOON!"
then they got farther away and we waved goodbye to each other.
i walked back to their house and looked for a watering can for the flower they told me to water. i looked around and there was this roof with some things under it and then i found the watering can. it felt heavy when i picked it up and i looked in and saw..
a cat.
"what are you doing in there?"
i grabbed the cat carefully and placed it down then went to get some water. i poured the water onto the orange flower then looked at the cat.
the cat was orange too. kinda like my clothes..
"let's take you inside it's going to pour soon."
"meow"
hello! i am fully healed and ready to write :DD thank u for being patient. chapters will be longer now due to me just thinking idk but yeah. but now my hands hurt and with that i will rest and get ready for the next chapter. and you probably didn't know but u ca actually find y/n's house in the game 😼
