Chapter 53
No One POV
Right now both Kalakaua and Ash are at a secluded area of the city as both Keenan and Tatsumi are also there with them but just to observe the battle as Keenan had brought each other something to drink as they are on the sidelines about to watch this battle commence as the 2 trainers are standing one side of the battlefield.
Keenan:do you guys need a ref to start this battle.he asked them
Kalakaua:there's no need for a ref Keenan it'll be over quickly.he said to him
Keenan:*shrugs*meh whatever.he said out loud
Ash:*narrows his eyes*I'll show you just how "weak" I am.he declared to him
Kalakaua:*chuckles*i somehow doubt that but are we really going to be doing the same rules earlier only a 3 vs 3.he asked him
Ash:yes and this is my first choice go Riolu.he said as he tossed out his first Pokémon
The ball had opened up revealing Ash's first choice which is his newly acquired Riolu as Keenan had suspected that he finally gotten his Riolu but he's a bit more interested as to what Pokémon he'll use against the Riolu since he still has that Noibat he caught back in Kalos.
Kalakaua:a battle of baby Pokémon I'm game let's go Noibat.he said as he tossed his Pokémon of choice out
His Noibat had came out of the ball with the ring of shine as he flew toward the ground as he's looking at his new opponent as Ash's eyes widens in surprise at the sight of the shiny Noibat.
Ash:whoa it's a shiny Noibat never seen one before.he said out loud
Kalakaua:you may have the first move.he said to him
Ash:if you say so Riolu use Vacuum Wave.he commanded
Kalakaua:Noibat Wing Attack now.he commanded
Noibat had flew closer toward Riolu until he moved at the last possible second which made Riolu completely miss his attack as Noibat's glowing wing had slapped him across the face as he cried out in pain as he was sent flying toward the ground as he had a hard time getting up.
Ash:oh no Riolu are you ok can you get up.he asked him as he slowly stood up
Kalakaua:I see so you must've gotten that Pokémon recently then if it's acting that way how stupid can you be of using a new Pokémon in a battle when you don't know where they stand or how strong they are.he told him
Ash:*grits his teeth*grrhh shut up already what about you that Noibat is a new capture so your pretty much in the same position as me.he said back to him
Kalakaua:there's a big difference between me and you because although Noibat is a new capture I actually took the time to see what his weaknesses and strengths are and came up with a battling style for him, and you on the other hand well your just pathetic.he told him
Ash:*thinks to himself*he definitely gives me Paul vibes.he thought to himself
Keenan:*raises an eyebrow*huh I'm quite impressed he already came up with a battling style for Noibat.he said out loud
Tatusmi:well he's a lot smarter then you think, he came up with a battle style for him the first thing we landed in Hoenn.he told him
Keenan:hmm certainly is impressive but it looks like he needs to work with Samurott now since he evolved.he said as he's watching the battle
As Ash's Riolu had managed to land a Vacuum Wave but it wasn't soo effective since Noibat is part flying type as it only made him be unbalanced in the air until he caught himself midair as both Pokémon are glaring at each other.
Ash:Riolu use Double Team.he commanded
Kalakaua:*grins*that's too easy find them using sound waves Noibat.he commanded
Ash:*grits his teeth*crap I forgot they can do that.he said to himself
Keenan:*thinks to himself*how can you forget that you have a Noivern.he thought to himself
Riolu had made dozens of copies of itself until Noibat had started to use its natural ability to look for the real one until it found the real Riolu as it was charging toward it with a Metal Claw ready as Kalakaua had seen it as it was time to finish it.
Kalakaua:let's finish this Noibat use Dragon Rush.he commanded him
Ash:*his eyes widens*what it knows Dragon Rush.he said in surprise
Keenan:I see so it knows an egg move impressive.he said
Tatusmi:this isn't going to end well for Ash and Riolu.he said out loud
As they watched Noibat slam right into Riolu which made an explosion as Ash had covered his eyes from the dust and the wind that it made until Noibat had flew out of the cloud of dust as he landed on the ground looking at his opponent wondering if it worked until the dust had started to clear as Riolu is revealed to be unable to battle.
Ash:*runs toward Riolu*No Riolu are alright say something.he asked him as he just groaned
Kalakaua:well that's one down 2 more to go what else do you have in your arsenal I'm still waiting for a Pokémon that's actually worth it.he said out loud
Ash:*grits his teeth as he returns Riolu*return Riolu you did well get some rest.he said as he gotten sucked into his ball
Kalakaua:are you finally going to use one of your stronger Pokémon I want a challenge.he asked him as Ash just glared at him
Ash:*glares at him*the Pokémon that I have is fine.he said back to him
Kalakaua:*scoffs*I have a hard time believing that your Riolu gotten defeated in no time I bet Keenan's Wooloo's put up a better fight.he said to him
Keenan:*thinks to himself*now I'm curious to see if they actually do.he thought to himself
Ash:*throws out his next choice*fine Dragonite go.he said as he tossed out his next choice of Pokémon
His Dragonite had emerged from its ball as he let out a little roar as he landed onto the grass beneath him as he looked at his opponent as Kalakaua had gotten a good look at Dragonite's eyes which Keenna noticed like how Drayden and the villages elder back in Iris's home village.
Keenan:*rubs his chin a she thinks to himself*hmm I see so he can do the same thing as Drayden and that elder from Iris's home village interesting.he thought to himself
Kalakaua:your Dragonite does look somewhat strong but mines is better.he said
Ash:and just what do you mean by that you have a Dragonite of your own.he asked him
Kalakaua:the answer should've been obvious when I said it.he said as he returned Noibat and threw out Dragonite
His Dragonite had came out of the ball releasing a roar as he flew down toward the ground and landed on it as he looked at his new opponent and grinned a bit as Ash's Dragonite had started to feel a little nervous against Kalakaua's Dragonite as not only it was a little bit taller then him standing at 7'6 but also a bit more intimidating. And although Dragonite has trained with Charizard sometimes but this is different since this isn't training but an actual battle and he never really fought up against any of his own species.
Ash:hey it's ok Dragonite just battle like how you usually battle alright remember doing training.he said back to his Dragonite
Keenan:hey Tatsu I've been wondering have you seen what kind of training regimen Kala does.he asked him
Tatsumi:*nods*yes I have and I must say it's quite interesting he has one of his Pokémon in the middle and have his other Pokémon attack them it's quite effective and he said it's how Alolan's trained for war back in the day, I'll say his Dragonite is at least High League level now.he said back to him
Keenan:hmm so that means Ash's Dragonite somewhat doesn't stand a chance it's Mid League level.he said out loud
As Kalakaua is looking at his Dragonite and Ash's Dragonite as he's honestly surprised that he has a Pokémon like that.
Kalakaua:*thinks to himself*to think this idiot is smart enough to have a Pokémon like this I just hope it isn't like that Goodra he had back in Kalos.he thought to himself
Ash:we're really show you what we're really made of Dragonite use Dragon Claw.he commanded him
Kalakaua:Dragonite show them your Dragon Claw.he commanded him
Both Dragonite's had flown at one another as they swung their large arms aiming to get each other with the super effective attack but since Kalakaua's one is larger then Ash's he overpowered his as his Dragon Claw had made contact with him as he cried out in pain.
Ash:don't falter Dragonite use Hurricane.he commanded
Kalakaua:that was a stupid move use Dragon Rush and charge through that Hurricane.he commanded
Kalakaua's Dragonite had growled as he gotten covered with the blue draconian energy with the shape of a dragon and charged right into the Hurricane level winds as he had somewhat of a hard time but still managed to push through as he was right in front of Ash's Dragonite as Ash had a small smirk.
Ash:*smirks*now Dragonite use Hyper Beam give it everything you've got.he commanded
Kalakaua:*his eyes widens a bit*quick Dragonite add more power into your Dragon Rush.he commanded him
As the 2 attacks had clashed which made an explosion in the air which caused Ash to cover part of his face while Kalakaua just stood there not caring about the winds and such while Tatsumi and Keenan are still drinking and eating popcorn as Keenan had to cover the popcorn preventing it from flying away.
Tatsumi:*whistles*dam almost blew away the popcorn.he said
Keenan:yeah and if it did I wasn't willing to go back and make more after all this is the last bag I need to buy more.he said as he stuffed some popcorn into his mouth
Tatsumi:hey asshole leave some for me.he said back to him
While back on the battlefield both Dragonite's are seen on the ground staring at one another as Kalakaua's one is of course more serious then Ash's Dragonite as Kalakaua is somewhat impressed by his Dragonite as it seems that he was training Dragonite with some of his older Pokémon.
Kalakaua:well well it seems that your Dragonite is still standing color me impressed I take it you've been having it train with your older Pokémon.he said out loud
Ash:yeah he's been training with Charizard whenever he has time so he's improved drastically and I'll show it by defeating yours.he declared to him
Kalakaua:*chuckles*you keep saying that and yet I don't see any difference with this battle, I want to battle your more experienced and stronger Pokémon like your Pikachu for example i want a challenge not second fodders.he said back to him
Ash:*irritated*I'll show you that my weaker Pokémon are just as great now Dragonite use Flamethrower.he commanded him
Kalakaua:I know how your Dragonite moves now this battle is over Dragonite use Dragon Pulse and aim for the back.he commanded him
Once again both Dragonites had carried out their orders as they charged up their attacks while Kalakaua's Dragonite had launched the beam of draconian energy toward Ash's as the attack had made a 180 degree turn and nailed it right on his back as he cried out in pain as his flying has gotten slower.
Ash:*his eyes widens*Dragonite no can you still fly.he asked as he nodded
Kalakaua:now use Blizzard Dragonite while it's there.he command
Ash:quick dodge it Dragonite get out of the way.he commanded him
Kalakaua:*grins*it can't move as fast anymore because the small injury on its back and wings.he said out loud
As Ash's Dragonite has basically stayed there like a sitting duck as the winds of really cold air had made contact with Dragonite as he roared out in pain as the cold air started to freeze Dragonite's body as he was falling down toward the ground as he made impact which made a small crater of where he landed as Dragonite ha swirls in its eyes.
Ash:no Dragonite are you alright can you still battle.he asked him as he has swirls in his eyes
Kalakaua:well that's 2 down one more to go god you really are weak, I expected more from the "Champion" of my own region.he said as his Dragonite landed back onto the ground
Ash:*glares at him*you played dirty you aimed for his back area where it's wings are.he said back to him
Kalakaua:you gotta take initiative in battle once you find a weakness you go on with it and exploit it, and well you should be lucky I didn't told Dragonite to add more power into that Dragon Pulse he could be in way more injured then he is now.he said back to him
Ash:return Dragonite you've fought hard out there.he said as he gotten sucked into the ball
Kalakaua:*crosses his arms*so what's next on your list of Pokémon are you finally going to use that Pikachu or yours or maybe one of your more older and stronger Pokémon.he asked him
Ash:*grits his teeth*grrhh fine go Latias.he said as he tossed out his next Pokémon
The ball had threw had opened up revealing his newly captured Latias from Alto Mare as both Keenan and Tatsumi was a bit surprised to see that he captured a Latias a Legendary Pokémon while Kalakaua was also surprised but smirked since he'll finally be able to use the Pokémon he always wanted to use.
As Keenan was looking at the Latias with a shocked look on his face since he knows where that Latias is from since he watched the movie and well the way how Latios had sacrificed itself to save the city and make a new Soul Dew was certainly a really sad moment, as he never thought that he'd see it again.
Tatsumi:*wide eyed*wait this guy has a Latias when did he catch her.he said out loud in surprise
Keenan:*surprised*I don't know but I certainly wasn't expecting this development that's for sure.he said back to him
Keenan:*thinks to himself*and I certainly wasn't expecting to see Latias again it seems that he went to Alto Mare to get her, but I know for sure that she's inexperienced in battle this might not end well for her.he thought to himself
Ash:*looks at Kalakaua*so what are you going to do now that your up against a Legendary this is what you wanted right a more stronger Pokémon to battle up against.he asked him
Kalakaua:*smirks*well defeating you will be even more enjoyable don't think for even a second that your the only one with a Pokémon like that.he said to him
Ash:*his eyes widens*wait so your telling me you have one of yourself.he asked in surprise as he wasn't expecting this at all
Kalakaua:*returns Dragonite*you know I wasn't going to use this Pokémon up against you but since your going to be flexing your Latias at me I might as well join you.he said back to him
Kalakaua:*takes out a dusk ball*I hope your ready because here comes my Darkrai.he said as he threw out his next Pokémon
The ball had spun in the air until it opened up with the blue flash of light with a small hint of purple in it as his Darkrai had appeared onto the battlefield with a ring of shine signifies that it's a shiny Pokémon as Ash stood there shocked as he wasn't expecting this to happen since what he had in mind was that he'd use Latias to defeat his other Pokémon and show him just how "weak" he is and well now he's getting kinda nervous.
Since he's had some history with Darkrai's but to him the most experienced he's had with Darkrai was actually in the Sinnoh league against Tobias as his Darkrai had single handily took out half of his team and then he used a Latios neck which he wasn't expecting that to happen as well.
Ash:*wide eyed*what you have a Darkrai but it's a different color.he said in surprise
Kalakaua:*crosses his arms*it's called a shiny dumbass i thought you'd already know that by now after all you do have one of yourself.he told him
Ash:so that's what their called, but when did you get a Darkrai the last time I seen and battled against a Darkrai was in the Sinnoh league.he asked him
Tatsumi:*mutters*and you gotten absolutely destroyed by him.he muttered to himself
Keenan:*whispers to him*not now Tatsumi let's just watch this battle after all it's not everyday you get to watch a Mythical and Legendary battle each other.he whispered to him
As both Latias and Darkrai are seen staring at one another as Latias is a bit nervous since this is the first battle that she's ever been in while Darkrai is just floating there silently waiting for the battle to start as both trainers are waiting to see who will make the first move until they called out their moves at the same time.
Ash:Latias use Dragon Pulse now.he commanded her
Kalakaua:Darkrai use Ominous Wind blow that Dragon Pulse away.he commanded him
The 2 Pokémon had carried out their commands as the w attacks had clashed with each other and made an explosion in the air creating smoke covering the area a bit as Ash had called out the next move.
Ash:Latias let's use your Ice Beam try and freeze it.he commanded
Kalakaua:hide within the shadows Darkrai.he commanded him
Ash:*his eyes widens*wait what they can do that.he said out in surprise
Kalakaua:oh cmon I'm sure you know about Darkai's natural ability of going within the shadows battling isn't always brute force, strategies and such you sometimes need to use your Pokémon own abilities.he said back to him
As Darkrai had dodged the attack by sinking into the ground using its powers as Latias had started to look around for the dark type Mythical as Ash is doing the same thing as who knows where it'll appear from as Keenan is taking mental notes in case him and Kalakaua ever do battle in the future and if he uses Darkrai against him as he'll have a way to counter it.
Then all of a sudden Darkrai had shot out from the ground which surprised both Ash and Latias as they were both caught off guard.
Kalakaua:now use Dark Pulse Darkrai nail her onto the ground.he commanded him
Ash:quick Latias counter with Mist Ball.he commanded to use her signature attack
Once again the 2 Pokémon had carried out their orders as Darkrai had launched the beam of chain like energy toward Latias while Latias had hurled the glowing pink sphere toward the Dark Pulse which made contact but since Darkrai's attack was stronger it broke through the Mist Ball and nailed Latias on its chest as she cried out in pain.
Ash:*his eyes widens*oh no Latias cmon try and catch yourself before you hit the ground.he said to her
Kalakaua:don't let her recover Darkrai use Focus Blast.he commanded him
Ash:hey that's it Latias turn invisible.he commanded her
Kalakaua:*grits hit teeth*shit I forgot they can turn invisible.he said to himself
As Kalakaua had started to look around for any sign of Latias until he seen Darkrai got tackled by an invisible force as he grunted out in pain as he started to look around with his one eye a bit irritated not being able to see his opponent.
Ash:now Latias use Dragon Claw hit him from behind.he commanded her
Kalakaua:Darkrai turn around and block the attack and hit her with Ominous Wind.he called out to him
Darkrai had turned around expecting the attack to hit him but from the side of him Latias had turned visible again and launched the Dragon Pulse toward Darkrai as he didn't had enough time to block the attack as he was hit by the dragon type attack as he groaned in pain but still remained floating as the 2 of them had glared at one another.
Tatusmi:is it just me or is he finally putting up somewhat of a challenge now.he asked out loud
Keenan:I guess so I mean I only managed to battle him once which I do want to battle him again since I want to test some of my newer Pokémon well the ones that evolved at least.he said out loud
As they both continued watching the battle as it was reaching its end as Kalakaua had used Ash's strategy against him.
Ash:Latias fly high into the sky and dive down using Giga Impact.he commanded him
Kalakaua:I knew you'd try something like that Darkrai use Nightmare Pulse now.he commanded
Ash:what kind of move is Nightmare Pulse.he wondered out loud
Darkrai had then cupped his hands charging up a Dark Pulse,Focus Blast and Ominous Wind in one attack as Latias had dove down using her Giga Impact which was a bit more powerful then the usual one since she was nose diving down with incredible speeds until the freakishly powerful attack from Darkrai has been launched.
As the incredibly powerful attack had nailed Latias which made a large explosion in the air as she cried out in pain as Ash's eyes had widened at the sheer power of the attack as he wasn't expecting that attack to be that powerful as Latias is seen falling down until she hit the ground making a small cloud of dust.
Ash:*his eyes widens*noo Latias are you ok.he asked as he made his way toward her
Kalakaua:well that takes care of that I'm honestly impressed that you lasted this long against me but still disappointed that you didn't he'd any of your older Pokémon.he said back to him
Ash:*grits his teeth*I'll get you next time you hear me I'll defeat you the next time we meet.he declared to him
Kalakaua:I somehow doubt that but if you did used your older Pokémon then maybe you would've stood a chance against me but you don't have the brain to use them.he said back to him
Ash:I just don't understand how did Latias lose so easily she should've at least been a decent challenge against Darkrai.he asked himself
Keenan:it's because she isn't experienced in battling that's why she lost.he said out loud
Ash:not experienced in battling what do you mean by that.he asked him
Kalakaua:it means what he said the reason why you used Latias was for in hopes of defeating me and wiping out my entire team, as I could've just used another Pokémon aside from Darkrai to battle against Latias but I wanted to see a Mythical vs Legendary battle.he said to him
As Ash didn't said anything but just returned Latias and quickly made his way out of there most likely toward a Pokémon center as Keenan and Tatsumi had stood up from sitting down watching the battle as they actually expected Kalakaua to win the battle since unlike Ash he uses the full capabilities of his Pokémon and his Pokémon are more experienced in battling then Ash's new ones.
Kalakaua had just watched Ash runaway with Pikachu following in tow behind him as he quickly returned Darkrai but not before thanking him.
Kalakaua:that battle was way to easy still don't know why he wouldn't do a full 6 vs 6 battle would've made things a lot more interesting.he said as he returned Darkrai
Tatsumi:you know I still don't understand why you hate him well aside from him being the Champion of the Alola region.he wondered out loud
Keenan:the reason why he hate Ash is because he lost 6 other leagues and won the Alola league just by pure luck and by Hala not announcing that Rowlet has lost the battle, as he literally screwed over his own grandson in favor of Ash winning.he said back to him
Tatsumi:hmm well I guess I can see that but still doesn't explain why you hate him so much aside from him winning the Alola league.he said
Kalakaua:I hate him because aside from his cheap way of winning he also defeated Kukui which I'll admit that their battle was pretty badass but still how the hell can the Professor lose to some loser that lost 6 other leagues. And that Is why I despise of being born in the Alola region a lot of people look down on us not believing that there's any strong trainers, but that's when I come in I'll be sure to be the only trainer there that's worth it and bring back Alola's glory.he said back to them
Both Tatsumi and Keenan stood there listening to him rant on as they just shrugged it off as Keenan is actually quite curious how Kalakaua will do in the Alola league since he knows quite a lot of people will try and enter it in hopes of being Champion of the Alola region but he's also curious to see who'll be the more stronger trainers there aside from Kukui,Guzma and possibly Ilima.
Tatsumi:*scratches the back of his head*well I'm going to get going need to get a few more gym badges from the Johto region and get prepared for the Johto league since it begins a little over a month as I need to train harder and also be prepared to challenge Zapdos.he said to then
Kalakaua:oh yeah I forgot about that I also need to prepare for Articuno and also collect the remaining gym badges in the Hoenn league since it begins a month after Johto and Sinnoh, I'll be sure to cheer you guys on in those respective leagues.he said out loud
Keenan:yeah and we also need to understand our starter's new evolutions and see what his weakness and strengths are and come up with any new battle strategies and training regimens.he said referring to their newly evolved Pokémon
Kalakaua:yeah I'm still figuring out Samurott but your brother said that he's more viscous then any more normal Samurott so I need to be cautious about that, if anything I'll text you if I need help with it.he said
Tatsumi:*sweat drops*and I need to figure out Typhlosion's battling style now since he looks like he smoked and entire bag of weed but we'll see each other again.he said
As the 3 of them had a 3 way fist bump as they started to run off in different directions as Kakaua had started to make his way toward the Hoenn region on Dragonite since he barely took any damage while Tatsumi had made his way toward a magnet train that connects to the Johto region as Keenan is now left alone thinking to himself what he should do next aside from training his Pokémon more.
It was until Tobias had came out from the shadows and walked besides him as he's looking at the same place where his friends disappeared.
Tobias:well I guess your one your own again what do you plan on doing now.he asked him
Keenan:do you have a book about Hisuian Pokémon I need to come up with a new training regimen for Decidueye.he asked him
Tobias:yes I do I can have Marshadow drop it off for you.he said back to him
Until Keenan's Rotom phone and notified him about one of his Pokémon evolving.
Keenan's Rotom phone:Lucario has been registered to your poke dex, would you look at that your weird albino Riolu evolved congratulations.he announced out loud
Keenan:*sighs*and i once again wasn't there in person to congratulate him but whatever I'll congratulate him when he get back.he said as he's disappointed in not congratulating his Pokémon
Tobias:Kalakaua has a weird hatred toward Ash doesn't he I somewhat don't understand unless he tells me himself.he said back to him
Keenan:*shrugs*well it has nothing to do with me but whatever keeps him motivated I guess but I will admit the way how he defeated Hau was complete bullshit but it's whatever, I think I'll head to Alola and bring Chloe with me.he said as he started to walk away
Tobias:remember what I told you little brother the next time we meet we'll have a battle I want to see how much you've improved and also another reveal of one of the Pokémon I'll be using against you.he said back to him
Keenan:*looks at him*yes I know that and I do plan on training harder because of that.he said back to him
Tobias said nothing but smirked as the 2 of them had went their separate ways as Keenan had went back toward the lab while Tobias had went toward Saffron city to spend some time with his girlfriend as that's where he'll be training his Pokémon for the time being until the day comes when they'll have their 1 vs 1 battle.
A/N:This is it for the chapter hope you guys enjoyed it as to me I wasn't to satisfied with this chapter since the battle between Ash and Kalakaua was somewhat underwhelming and what not but I wasn't going to rewrite the entire chapter since I was almost done with it. So I'm sorry if it seems rushed (which it sorta was needed to go somewhere)
But Keenan and Chloe will be going to the Alola region together as thanks to ArchieX2Y for this idea as it'll come in handy for Chloe in the future.
Another OC will be making an appearance in the chapter which is a high possibility so be on the look out for that.
The reason why Latias didn't put much of a fight against Darkrai is because she's real inexperienced in battling as even Pupitar is more experienced then her so that's why she lost relatively easy against Darkrai, but Ash will be training her for she'll be more prepared whenever he uses her in a battle.
Next chapter is gonna be "Keenan's and Chloe's Alola Trip"
