The temporary operating room was set up in Mary’s bedroom. As an experienced attending doctor who had personally operated on himself, Monroe tried his best to disinfect himself, then it was Adela’s and George’s turns.
Mary was already drowsy. Monroe came over to wake her up. “Hey baby? Wake up. We’re going to take the bullet and bandage your wound. Then we’ll leave tonight and ditch this place.”
