Luke grabbed the can of tuna from the fridge and plated it nicely for Mr. Pfeiffer.
"Here you go, Mr. Pfeiffer,"he said, patting the former stray on the head.
Mr. Pfeiffer mewed in thanks, before attacking the fish like it killed his mother. Luke smiled at the cat.
"You're a good cat,"he told him.
The cat seemed to agree.
The tour bus's door opened, and Luke's bandmates filed in.
"Hey, pukes-what is that?"Joel asked.
"A cat,"Luke said critically.
"What's his name?"Vince asked, sipping his La Croix.
"Mr. P-Feiffer,"Luke replied.
Vince choked.
"You pronounce the p?"Joel asked.
"Yup."
"Mr. P-Feiffer?"
"Guys,"Daniel interrupted. "It's eleven. Mrs. Gatcombe's p-funeral-"he closed his eyes as the guys erupted into laughter.
-"starts at 12, Jesus Christ."
Luke glared at the guys, then looked at his new cat.
"Come on, Mr. Pfeiffer, let's get ready."
"Bye, bleeps,"Mr. Pfeiffer called, walking behind Luke.
"Did the cat just talk or should I see myself to the hospital?"Ben asked.
"Who cares about the talking cat, he just called me a freaking bleep,"Joel snapped.
