I can't help but smile
and speak gently to the souls
within these small bees
that land upon my hair
as the sun shows her face
and they find joy in the air
maybe my hair just smells
of honey and wildflowers
or maybe of my hopes
I can't help but smile
at how much we both love
flying free in her light.
Fly free my little friends
come back to my hair again
when the next spring comes
until then take care
and tend to your flowers
