Y/n POV
All Might: "I believe you're worthy of inheriting my power"
Midoriya and I both looked at him with a confused look, I had no idea what the hell he was on about, Midoriya is still on his knees from crying, I'm standing next to him, arms crossed, head tilted to the side.
All Might: "This concerns my quirk kids" he said, wiping some blood from his chin
All Might: "The media reports it as some kind of strength increase or power boost, I avoid the question by telling a joke or asking another question, because All Might, The Symbol of Peace, has to come off as a natural-born hero."
I thought about that for a moment, no one really knew what his quirk was, It was one of the greatest mysteries of our time, I never thought about it much, I just looked up to him like everyone else
All Might: "My quirk was passed down to me! Like the Olympic torch!"
'Passed down?' I thought 'How? There's never been a quirk that could be passed down?!'
Midoriya: "Wha- P-passed down to you?" he stuttered out
All Might: "My quirk I inherited... Is One For All"
Midoriya/Y/n: "One For All" we parroted
I feel like this day isn't real, I met All Might, found out his quirk and that he's a skeleton, all through this kid I found on my apartment roof?... No... this must be a dream...
Midoriya: "B-but... why me?"
All Might: "Because, back at the sludge villain situation, you were the most heroic out of everyone there! Even though you were quirkless, you ran out to help that boy! A true hero puts themselves at risk, in order to save others. This all depends on your answer!"
Midoriya: "I accept!" He replies

2 Days later, me and Midoriya are both pulling a fridge with All Might sitting on top of it
All Might: "This fridge makes a pretty nice perch"
Gee, thanks for the encouraging words I thought to myself, panting from exhaustion
All Might: "A little more movement would be nice!"
Y/n: "And a little less weight would be nice! What are you? Like 600 pounds!?" I barked back
Midoriya just fell to the floor from exhaustion
All Might: "Ouch kid, I'm down to 560 nowadays"
Y/n: "Yeah yeah big diff" I mumbled to myself
Midoriya: "All Might, why are we dragging trash across the beach anyway?"
All Might: "Because, you're an ill-suited vessel!" All Might said, laughing to himself
Midoriya started bawling
Midoriya: "What?! But you said I was worthy!"
All Might took some photos and got off the fridge
All Might: "Your body!... Well... both your bodies"
Midoriya and I both turned and looked at him in confusion
He first points at Midoriya
All Might: "All For One binds the physical strength of many people into one, your noodle limbs isn't ready for it, Your limbs would pop right off!" All Might explained
Midoriya: "MY LIMBS!"
All Might then pointed at me
All Might: "And you Young L/n, your body is like a stick figure, you almost look like a Scarecrow!"
I squinted my eyes at him and grumbled to myself Scarecrow? I'll show you a Scarecrow, when I'm finished you'll have nightmares about Scarecrows.
Midoriya: "So, we're here to train our bodies... by hauling trash?" Midoriya questioned
All Might: "YES! But that's not all, I did some research yesterday, and this portion of the beach has been like this for years"
Y/n: "The currents lead all the trash from the ocean here, and also people think it's a good idea to dump their shit here"
All Might places his hand on the top of the fridge
All Might: "Today's young heroes are too pre-occupied with fame and fortune"
He then compresses the fridge in one push
All Might: "But being a hero is also about volunteer work!"
He fully presses the fridge into a metal pancake
All Might: "Let's return this beach to its original beauty! This is the first step on your path to becoming a hero!"
Midoriya: "Our first step is... cleaning up?"
Y/n: "This is slave labor" I deadpanned, earning a chuckle from All Might
All Might: "Young men, you both want to get into UA right?" he asked
Midoriya: "Yeah, Because you went to UA, If I can... I definitely want to go to UA"
Y/n: "There's a saying I like: 'Aim for the moon, if you miss, you may hit a star.' UA is the best of the best, there's no harm in aiming high" I stared off.
All Might nodded at both of our responses
All Might: "Like I said before, It's not possible for someone who's quirkless, It's sad but true. That's reality, Not to mention UA's hero course is the toughest there is! So..."
Midoriya: "I've got 10 months before the entrance exam... I've gotta train my body into a suitable vessel by then...!"
Y/n: "And I have 10 months to train my body so I don't get snapped like a twig."
All Might quickly pulled some paper from behind his back
All Might: "That's what this is for! My self-designed 'All American Dream' Plan!" He handed me and Midoriya some paper each
All Might: "A training regimen to help you clean up the garbage and then some! You can chart your entire lifestyle with this!"
I quickly glazed over some pages, Workout routines, a fully realised diet and:
Y/n: "Interesting, you even got sleep schedules for us, this is.. a lot to say the least."
All Might: "To be truthful, this'll be super tough, can you two do it!?"
Midoriya: "Well, yeah!... I know I have to work way harder than everyone else to make it...!"
Y/n: "I can't expect everything to be handed to me. Hard work and perseverance will get us through."
And so, for 10 months, I found out what hell looked like
Mum was ecstatic about my diet requests, even forcing it on herself
M/n: "Y'know, I always said you could use some meat on your bones" She giggled to herself, cooking dinner
Y/n: "And I've always said I'd be fine without unneeded fat, besides, I think it's gonna help me out in some regards" I grinned slightly, sketching in my sketchbook
M/n: "Oh?... How so?" She pondered, looking over from the kitchen
Y/n: "Just my presentation" I chuckled to myself, putting the pencil down

My daily routine is as follows
After waking up early in the morning I would head over to the beach to start the day off sweating with All Might and Midoriya
After that I head to school and go about my day normally
After school, I head back to the beach to do whatever cruel task All Might has us do, whether it be carrying some tires away, or dragging an old mini-storage unit to the truck.
After I get home, it's some basic workout routines, pushups, sit-ups, using dumbbells, then eating and sleeping and repeating the next day.
I started to doze off in class every once and a while but from what I could tell, the routine was working.
Timeskip
Me and Midoriya are running down the road hauling some safes as All Might leads the charge on a segway
It's all going fine until Midoriya collapses, Me and All Might stop
All Might: "Hey, Hey! What's wrong? Only 3 more months! You're not gonna make it! You wanna quit! Wanna take a break today!?"
Midoriya doesn't reply, I drop my safe and go to him, he's wheezing face-down in the grass
Y/n: "I- *huff huff* I think he's been overworking" I huffed
All Might: "My 'All American Dream' Plan, I designed it based on what you'd need to do with your body, specifically to make to make it before the exam date... But you haven't stuck to the plan."
I looked up in shock, then turned back to Midoriya who was still on the ground
All Might: "Overdoing it's no good either! Don't you wanna pass?!"
I was gonna tell All Might to go easy on him but Midoriya spoke up for himself
Midoriya: "I do... But I don't wanna just pass! I have to work harder than everyone else to make it! I'll never catch up otherwise! I want to be just like you!"
He lifted his head up, tears threatening to fall
Midoriya: "Like you. The Strongest Hero."
I felt instantly energized seeing his determined face, I've been getting the easy treatment compared to him, I've had a quirk all my life, and it's nothing to the power he's going to get, He's been suffering way more than I ever have.
All Might then transformed into his muscle form and picked Midoriya off the ground, carrying him over his shoulder
All Might: "You! You blind fanboy! Such dumb zeal... THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I LIKE TO HEAR!!"
He then turned to me
All Might: "Young L/n, are you able to carry Young Midoriya's safe"
Y/n: "Leave- it- to- ME!"
I jumped to my feet and hauled both safes over my shoulders
All Might: "Good job! Now let's keep going"
Timeskip
The day of the exam... 6am... what a tortureous 10 months!
I make it to the beach and see All Might arriving as well, we greeted each other and walked to the entrance, only to be met with Midoriya screaming, we rush to the noise and are struck with awe.
The beach is clean, not a speck left on it, and who do we see at the top of the pile of trash? The quirkless wonder himself: Midoriya, screaming his heart out.
I can't move I'm in so much shock, same as All Might, he breaks the silence
All Might: "He made it just in time! And exceeded my expectations! Oh my... Oh my..."
He then transforms into his musle form
All Might: "GOODNESS!"
Midoriya slowly begins to fall, All Might rushes over and catches him in a instant, leaving me in his dust as I run over as well.
Midoriya: "All Might...! I did it!... I did it!"
All Might: "Astounding! You're a real entertainer! And a teen no less! You too Young L/n! You both managed to accomplish so much! Here, take a look!"
He pulled out is phone and showed photos of us
Midoriya: "What's this?"
All Might: "It's you 2, 10 months ago"
To the right is a photo of Midoriya bawling his eyes out, skinny and small, looking at him now, you could never tell they are the same person. And the photo of me is no different, I was grumbling on the ground, skinny and weak, now look at me... Ok, I'm still skinny, but bulk skinny.
All Might: "Excellent work Young Men, truly"
Midoriya begins to cry again, I rolled my eyes and All Might chuckled
All Might: "You gotta stop being a crybaby! *Pats Midoriya on the back* Anyway, time for the awards ceremony, Y/n L/n! You have worked yourself to the bone and have come out stronger than ever, when you told me about your quirk, and how you intend to change society's view on quirks like it, I was extremely impressed, you will make a great hero someday!" He patted me on the back, I couldn't help but tear up a little
Hearing the number 1 hero approve of your life mission is one thing, but having them help you achieve that mission, it's empowering, I wiped my tears away and grinned
Y/n: "Your words are kind... I won't let you down, All Might."
All Might nodded and turned to Midoriya
All Might: "Izuku Midoriya! Y'know they say there's a big difference between being born with that silver spoon... And working your but off to get it! Take this to heart kid. You've earned this power fair and square."
Midoriya begins to tear up as well, who could blame him!
All emotion is ripped from the scene as All Might presents a strand of his hair to Midoriya
All Might: "EAT THIS"
Midoriya/Y/n: "Huh?"
All Might: "Really doesn't matter what it is you eat. As long as you get my DNA! Now hurry!"
