Not the Roof... idk The Road?
Y/n POV:
After getting off the roof, I and Midoriya walked and talked, he seemed a nice guy, a little timid and shy, but all and all very nice, he's extremely interested in heroes and quirks, and even has a journal to write his data down
Midoriya: "So, if you don't mind me asking, what's your quirk?" he asked, pen and journal ready at a moments notice
Y/n: "Oh... I'd rather not..." I looked away,
Midoriya: "I won't say mean things, I promise." He persisted.
I looked at his innocent face and sighed.
Y/n: 'There goes another friendship...'
Y/n: "Well ok then... It's a little complicated so strap in" I sighed
Y/n: "I excrete a gas from the pores on my skin, when inhaled through the respiratory system or it enters the bloodstream, it makes the person who is unlucky to be subjected to it hallucinate their greatest fears, they can still see everything but it's all nightmaritised... that's not a word... anyway, say they have Arachnophobia, they may look at their hands and see spiders crawling all over them. The effects last 5 minutes at the minimum, I have developed a cure to help people, it can also be used in a liquid form." I explained
He writes it all down without even asking me to repeat something, this guy has obviously been doing this for a while.
Though he isn't running away in fear... strange...
Midoriya: "You're yourself immune to your gas?"
Y/n: "Correct, completely immune"
Midoriya: "Have you ever met someone who's immune to your gas?"
Y/n: "That's a stupid question. I don't tend to go around gassing people all that seems like a one-way track to getting arrested" I deadpanned
Midoriya: "Oh... Yeah... Wait, then how did you get the info on your quirk?"
His words pierced through me like a cold knife.
Y/n: 'Do I tell him? I can't, I won't lose another friend because of my quirk.'
Y/n: "When I first developed my quirk, I had a... Accident... some doctors came by and took me to a lab to test everything out, Me and my Mum decided I wouldn't use my quirk unless I'm in an emergency situation or I become a hero, but I've also been running some of my own experiments at home, I discovered the liquid form and how the gas is actually explosive! And I developed a cure, though it took a lot of trial and error."
Midoriya: "Wow, Your quirk is really interesting" He smiled
I had a look of shock, is he really this trusting?...
Y/n: "Really? You aren't afraid of it?... Of me?..."
Midoriya: "No, why should I be?"
I teared up a little, my scowling facade slipped away from me for a moment, but quickly put it back on and wiped the tears away, everyone I've told about my quirk about has looked at me weirdly or just were just plain scared of me, but Midoriya... he's different...
Y/n: "N-no... It's just nothing, I just... let's keep walking."
He gave me a reassuring smile and we kept trekking on.
Though his question back on the roof was still on my mind.
Y/n: "Hey, If you don't mind me asking... are you quirkless?"
He stopped and turned with a surprised expression
Midoriya: "H-how did you k-know?" He shook
Y/n: "On the roof, you asked if someone who's quirkless could become a hero, the logical deduction is that either yourself or someone close to you who is quirkless is aspiring to become a hero, with how passionately you asked, I assumed the former"
Midoriya looked to be in shock
Y/n: "Hey, we talked about my quirk, now we gotta talk about your lack of one! I find it pretty... cool..."
I pushed the word through my teeth, such lingo was almost damning in a social scenario.
Midoriya: "Wha- what!? Cool?!"
Y/n: "Correct, Only 20% of the population is quirkless, that makes you unique!" I gave a smile, or at least tried, It had been a while since I smiled at someone other than my mother.
Midoriya looked to be on the verge of tears, he wiped them away and looked at me
Midoriya: "Th- thank you"
This wholesome moment was interrupted by your daily villain attack, explosions rocked the alley we were standing in
Y/n: "A villain attack? Sounds close... Shall we go investigate?"
Midoriya nodded and we raced off to find the source of the explosions, what we found was a massive crowd of people blocking our view, we pushed our way near the front and found a sludge villain rampaging, holding a hostage inside himself and using their quirk to create the explosions.
Y/n: "Why aren't the pros doing anything? The villain is right there" I questioned
Bystander: "Apparently none of their quirks are suited to the situation, and the fact he has a hostage makes it all the more worse" A guy beside me answered
Y/n: "This is making me uneasy, hey Midoriya, why don't we continue walking you ho-" I turned to find the spot Midoriya resided in vacant
I looked around and his broccoli head running towards the danger
Y/n: "WAIT YOU IDIOT" I tried to run after him but some buff gauntlets held me in place, I looked up to see the Punching Hero: Death Arms
Death Arms: "Stop it kid! You'll make the situation worse than it its!" He stopped me from running after Midoriya
Y/n: "HE'LL GET HIMSELF KILLED, DO SOMETHING!" I struggled against my bearhug-bonds but to no avail, I could only watch as my newest friend got himself killed
Midoriya threw his school bag at the villain's eye, blinding him, he reached out to the hostage, they exchanged some words I was too far away to hear
Then something I never expected to happen... happened
All Might, number 1 hero in Japan (And the world in my opinion) jumped out of the crowd and wound up an iconic move
All Might: "DETROIT SMASH!" He thrust his fist forward, making the villain explode into a million pieces
The punch split the sky, causing it to start raining
Y/n: "What the hell, it's raining, his punch changed the weather!" I exclaimed
Death Arms released his grip on me and I ran to Midoriya, making sure he's ok
After that I made sure to hit him on his head and berate him for running in like a idiot
Midoriya: "Aah! I didn't even realise I was moving at first, it's like my legs moved without my thinking"
Y/n: "That's no excuse for nearly dying! What would spark such a reaction?"
Midoriya: "The hostage, he's a childhood friend of mine, his eyes, they looked like they were begging for help"
I opened my mouth to yell at him, but found no words, I thought about how I tried to run after him and stop him, I've only known him for about an hour, I can only imagine what I'd do if he was the hostage and we were childhood friends.
I sighed and pat his head
Y/n: "You're still an idiot, but I can see where you're coming from, but that doesn't justify risking your life, you should probably go thank All Might"
I looked over to the muscle-clad hero, only to see him swarmed by reporters, I sighed and turned back to pro heroes berating Midoriya for running in, I would say something, but he deserves a good talking to from people with authority, not someone you've known for an hour.
Timeskip
I decided to walk Midoriya home, it wouldn't be right to send him off alone after a traumatic experience, we walked in silence until it was broken by a voice behind us, it was Midoriya's childhood friend, the hostage!
Midoriya: "Kacchan!"
'Kacchan': "Look, I didn't ask for your help! And Don't think I owe you anything! I was fine on my own!" He barked
What an absolute... Asshole!
Y/n: "Fine on your own?! You were fu- Mmmph!" I tried to give him a piece of my mind but Midoriya stopped me, covering my mouth
'Kacchan' Looked at me with a scowl and walked off, Midoriya removed the hand covering my mouth
Y/n: "You risked your life for him, and that's what he says.... How can you be friends with such a person?"
Midoriya: "It's... it's compli-"
???: "I AM HERE!"
All Might zooms in front of us, THE All Might! I almost fell over from shock.
Y/n/Midoriya: "ALL MIGHT!" We both exclaimed
Midoriya: "How did you get away from the press?!"
Y/n: "How're you not more excited about meeting All Might!?"
All Might: "Haha! The media can't slow me down! I gave them the slip! Because I am All- BLEAGH"
All Might coughed some blood as smoke enveloped him, as the smoke cleared, all that was left was a Skeleton!
Y/n: "ALL MIGHT IS A SKELETON!"
All Might?: "Not so loud young man!"
I was in shock, what is going on?
Midoriya: "Y/n I can explain!"
Y/n: "It better be good!"
All Might: "Young Midoriya, do you trust this young man?"
Midoriya thought for a moment, I already had an answer
Y/n: "We only met over an hour ago! This defies all logic!"
Midoriya: "With my life"
I stared at him with a confused gaze.
Y/n: "ARE YOU CRAZY!?"
I managed to calm down but not before giving Midoriya a pep talk about trusting people you just met
All Might: "Now that that's all out of the way, Young Midoriya I want to thank you"
Midoriya: "Thank me? B-but why?"
All Might: "Without you, I wouldn't have pushed myself to go out and go past my time limit"

All Might: "Young Midoriya, You can become a hero!"
