Then the sky went back to normal and Echo followed Marc through some streets and alleyways.
"That was a bit over the top don't you think?" Marc asked Khonsu
"Hurry there gathering their avatars now" Khonsu said ignoring Marc question.
"Aren't they scattered all over the world?" Marc asked
"Yes but for a meeting the Ennead a portal presents itself anywhere" Khonsu explained
"Okay. So where's mine?" Marc asked and then one of the walls started moving opening a space to walk it.
"Can I come with?" Echo asked
"I don't know if to can" Khonsu replied with.
"Oh well I will anyway" echo smiled
Marc walked towards the entrance. "Last time I spoke to the gods they banished me or case against Harrow must be indispensable" Khonsu said
Marc turned around and Khonsu was walking away. "Aren't you coming with?" Marc asked
"Oh I'll be there" Khonsu said and then disappeared
"Well this will be interesting to watch" echo chuckled. Then Marc and Echo walked through the entrance. They entered a room and there were statues of different gods.
"Oh my days were inside the great pyramid of Giza" Steven said in excitement. Marc just rolled his eyes.
They then walked down some steps. Then a woman came out of a hallway. "Khonsu's theatres are unparalleled. You must be his avatar? And you are?" the woman said.
"Hi and who are you?" Marc asked the woman.
"I'm Yayzil avatar of Hathor" the woma said.
"Okay" Marc replied with.
"Goddess of music and love?" She said
"Okay we get it no need to explain yourself" echo rolled her eyes.
"Yazil!" One of the avatars yelled to her and they walked forward.
"Has Khonsu told you how this works?" She asked
"Not really. Is there somethin' I should know?" He asked her.
"I try not to fight it" Yazil said as she walked up some steps to her seat, "and you both suit each other"
"In attendance Horus, Iris, Tefnut, Osiris and Hathor to hear the account of Khonsu" Hathor said through her avatar.
Then Marc's eyes glowed for a quick second and then they went back to normal. "You've been banished once before for nearly exposing us Khonsu" Osiris' avatar speaks, "and you know we despise your garishness your showy masks and weapons. But manipulate the sky again-"
"And you will imprison him in stone we know he told us now tell us something we don't already know?" Echo asked.
"Shut it and spare me your self-righteous threats!" Khonsu yelled through Marc, "I was banished for not abandoning humanity unlike the rest of you!"
"We have not abandoned humanity and you were also banished for impregnating a mortal" Horus' avatar spoke.
"Are you on about me. Because if you are I'm right here" echo said to the gods.
"Is this your daughter?" Another avatar asked
"Yes but that is not why we are her!" Khonsu yelled to the gods.
"Speak your purpose!" Another commanded.
"I call for judgment against Arthur Harrow!" Khonsu yelled
"The charges?" Hathors avatar asked
"Conspiracy to release Ammit!" Khonsu yelled echo loved seeing Marc's face every time Khonsu speaks
"That's a heavy accusation Khonsu. Let us summon the accused!" Osiris' avatar speaks then Harrow came.
"Oh great it's the this asshole!" Echo sighed
"So I see by the presents of Khonsu's current makeshift avatar the purposes of our meeting must be nefarious" Harrow explained
"Yeah no shit Sherlock!" Echo yelled to Harrow.
"You know exactly why we're here!" Khonsu yelled
"I must admit I do not miss the sound of that voice but speak old master to the point" Harrow said
"Dudes he left his crocodile stick!" Echo yelled and the gods looked at Harrow.
"I assure you I have no such possession"Harrow said calmly.
"Do you not seek to release Ammit form her tomb?" Khonsu asked
"I was in the desert but if visiting the sands were a crime, the line of sinners would longer than the Nile" Harrow said he then looked at Marc, "Khonsu has searched for Ammits tomb since he ensnared me to his service. His vision is obscured by jealousy, paranoia and his..."
"He is a deceiver!" Khonsu yelled
"Yeah he is" Echo agreed with him.
"Don't trust the word of a shamed god and his daughter. No Khonsu is unhinged and his servant unwell" Harrow said
"How do you mean unwell?" Hathor asked
"This is a man who literally doesn't know his own name. He certificates under the name Marc Spector.." Harrow said.
"Liar!" Khonsu roared. Echo wanted to do something she just doesn't know what.
"Employment records under the name Steven Grant" Harrow said to the gods
"Stop" Marc said sounding more Marc that Khonsu.
"I've seen him speak to himself.." Harrow carried on.
"Shut up!" Khonsu yelled
"...threaten himself" Harrow chuckled slightly, "I have no idea how man personalities he must possess"
Then Marc went to hit Harrow but he was stopped by one of the gods and his arms were forced behind his back and he knelt on the ground. "We will not tolerate violence in this chamber"an avatar spoke.
"It brings me no pleasure to tell you that this is a deeply troubled man and Khonsu's daughter is no better" Harrow said
"You know nothing about me! Your a liar!" Echo yelled
"Khonsu is taking advantage of him the same way he abused me the way he aspires the abuse this court. Take action now before it's too late" Harrow told the gods.
Echo noticed Marc shut his eyes and his breathing was quite heavy. She went over to him. "It's alright" echo whispered and Marc nodded to her and opened his eyes.
"Let us speak to Marc Spector" an avatar commanded and Marc arms swung forward and he eyes glowed and then went back to normal.
"Are you unwell?" One of the avatars asked.
Marc looked at echo then up to the gods. "I am. I am unwell" Marc stuttered, "I need help"
"Marc.." echo whispered
"But it doesn't change the fact that this man is.." Marc wanted to say something else but he couldn't.
"This is a safe space to tell us how you feel being exploited by Khonsu" Hathor spoke.
"This is not about my feelings! Im not the one on trial here! He is!" He yelled, "this is about how dangerous he is if you would just listen for a second"
Echo sighed sadly, "there not gonna listen to us Marc" she pulled him in for a hug and he hugged her back.
"He has committed no offence" an avatar spoke, "this matter is concluded"
Harrows emotions changed he felt more relived. And then they all left.
Marc Sighed and hugged Echo a bit more. "Marc? There is another way" yazil whispered to them.
Then Marc moved away from the hug and echo helped him up and they somewhere secret. "You must listen to me carefully" yazil said
"Yeah. Yeah just tell us" echo said getting impatient.
"Ammit was buried in secret the location was hidden even from the gods" yazil explained, "ammit had many followers. I didn't know who to trust."
"But someone had to know something?" Marc asked
"One man a Medjay named senfu he was tasked with recording the location of the tomb in case the gods ever changed their minds and decided to show mercy. Find Senfu's sarcophagus and you'll find your tomb"
"Well thanks for that but best be off" echo said as she grabbed Marc hand and went to leave.
"Wait his sarcophagus was stolen and sold of the black market. You might want to start there" yazil added.
"Okay thanks bye" echo said as she walked out holding Marc's hand dragging him out.
