"In the meeting room at Gara Laboratory"
Natsu and Gio look at the monitor. It shows people with bags under their eyes
Natsu: Nightmares?
Professor Gara: Correct. We've received word that the residents in a few areas have been having nightmares.
Gio: And a Pokémon is the cause of this?
Professor Gara: Also correct. And nightmares in this region can only mean one thing.
Kris: Right.
Kris presses a button, and Darkrai appears on the monitor
Kris: The Pitch Black Pokémon, Darkrai. It has the power to give people and Pokémon nightmares when they're asleep.
Natsu: Darkrai? Not again.
Gio: You've seen it before?
Natsu: Yeah. It's really strong! Right bud?
Tigra: Gra!
Professor Gara: This is where you two come in. Please investigate this before Darkrai comes here.
Natsu: On it.
Gio: Leave it to us.
"Outside"
Natsu and Gio run out the lab. Blake and Eevee walk to the lab
Gio: See you later, Blake!
Professor Gara: Be safe!
Blake: Are they on a reaserch assignment?
Professor Gara: That's right. You're home early.
Blake: We just final assemblys today.
Kris opens the door
Kris: Professor?
Professor Gara: Yes?
Kris: The checks on the eggs are all done.
Professor Gara: Excellent.
Blake: Then I'm going home. Let's go, Eevee.
Blake and Eevee run away
Blake: And Mom, I'm really looking forward to our family vacation!
Professor Gara: Same here. Wait, vacation!?
"At Blake's house"
Blake: What do you mean no vacation!?
Professor Gara: You see I'm taking care of some eggs back at my lab and they're gonna hatch soon, and I can't miss this. I'm sorry!
Benny: And I have to work the whole week.
Blake: We planned this vacation months ago! And I was looking forward to it! Kenny, weren't you set on going?
Kenny plays Shinx
Kenny: I was invited to join some friends at a summer camp.
Professor Gara: Well I've got an idea. Natsu and Gio are doing some research. Why don't you go join them?
Blake: So you want me to help with your research?
Professor Gara: I just thought it would be fun for you.
Blake: Fine then!
"Ten minutes later"
Blake wears a red shirt with a blue flower pattern, black pants, and red and black sneakers. She wakks to the door. A backpack over her shoulder
Blake: I'm off. Goodbye.
Blake and Eevee walk out the door
Benny: They grow up so fast! Our little girl!
Kenny: Wow, and I thought Mom got emotional on our birthdays.
"In Canalave City"
Blake and Eevee get off the boat and look at the sea
Blake: Finally here!
Eevee: Vee!
Blake: Fun here we come!
"In the city"
Blake and Eevee walk on the sidewalk
Blake: Okay so I think we should go to the Pokémon Center first for lunch.
A boy bumps into Blake
Blake: Oh I'm so sorry.
Boy: Are you traveling?
Blake: Yes.
Boy: I take it you're here to take on the Canalave Gym. Come on! Let's have a battle!
Blake: No thanks!
Blake picks up Eevee and runs
"In a different part of the city"
Blake: And we're lost. Oh, boy.
Man on tv: And today's featured guest is the two year reigning Kalos Queen, and also known as the best actress in Kalos, miss Luna!
Blake looks at the tv and sees Luna sitting across from a man
Luna: Thank you for having me.
Man: So Luna, it won't be long until the Hearthome City Pokémon Contest, and I hear you'll be one if the judges.
Luna: That's right, and I was asked to preform before the show starts. And I just can't wait to see the performances!
Man: Same goes for me. Now I've been hearing you have someone in your life now.
Luna: Where are you getting that from?
Man: Oh please, we all know you and Omega have been seen together at one of the greatest restaurants in Kalos. I want all the details.
Luna: Nope. Thanks for tuning in at home, everyone! Goodbye!
The tv shuts off
Blake: Maybe we should see the Pokémon Contest. It could be fun.
Blake looks at bus schedules on her phone
Blake: But the bus for it won't be here for an hour.
Eevee walks away
Blake: You want to walk there!?
Eevee nods
Blake: Well this way we can enjoy the scenery. Okay.
"Just outside of the city"
Blake and Eevee walk on a path, and a Starly flies down infront of them, and eats some seeds
Blake: I feel like I've seen you in the fields back home.
Blake aims her Pokédex at Starly
Pokedéx: Starly. The Starling Pokémon. A Normal and Flying type. Starly moves in large flocks. Though it has a small body, the muscles in its wings are vert strong.
Eevee and Starly look at eachother, and headbutt. Starly flies up, and more join
Blake: Oh no.
Blake grabs Eevee and runs away
Blake: We're sorry!
"In the forest"
Blake: One day we'll look back on this and laugh.
Eevee nods. It starts to rain
Blake: Let's run.
Blake and Eevee run through the rain, and stand under a tree to stay dry
Blake: I guess traveling can he hard. But I'm not helpless.
"In Hearthome City"
Natsu and Gio talk to an Officer Jenny
Natsu: Um, Officer Jenny?
Jenny: Sorry. You're here to investigate what's going on here right?
Gio: Yes.
Jenny: We wake up from these nightmares every night. People are getting so tired that they're falling asleep during the day. Arguing, and some are talking to non living objects.
Gio: Are there any reports of a Pokémon?
Jenny: I can't reveal that.
Natsu: Then maybe it is Darkrai.
Jenny: Darkrai you say?
Officer Jenny falls asleep
Natsu: Officer Jenny?
Officer Jenny wakes up
Jenny: It's happened in the towns near this city, too.
Gio: Thank you for the information.
"With Blake"
Blake and Eevee look at a lake
Blake: So pretty! I'm so glad we came here.
Eevee: Vee.
Blake: Let's set up camp for the night.
Blake takes a tent out of her bag, and a few other things to cook dinner
Blake: Now to cook.
Blake stirs soup over a fire
Blake: It'll be ready soon.
Eevee: Vee!
Blake: I hope there aren't any scary Pokémon around. I really want to see what this lake looks like when the sun rises.
The bushes shake
Blake: Why did I say it?
Piplup jumps out of the bushes
Piplup: Piplup!
Blake: What!?
Piplups face lands in the soup, and glows red. It jumps out of the soup
???: Piplup!
Taylor runs over with Wyveon and they trip
Blake: Are you two okay?
Taylor gives a thumbs up, and stands up
Taylor: Never better.
Wyveon gets up and licks its paws
Taylor: Mind if we join you?
Blake: Okay.
Taylor sits down. Blake hands her a bowl of soup, and places one down for the Pokémon
Taylor: You're a real life saver. When we had set up camp I realized I forgot the stuff to make dinner with at the Pokémon Center.
Blake: I was afraid a wild Pokémon was going to attack us.
Taylor: I'm sorry about that. I'm Taylor. And those are my Pokémon, Wyveon and Piplup.
Wyveon: Wyv.
Piplup: Lup, Lup.
Blake: I'm Blake, and this is Eevee.
Eevee: Evee!
Taylor: So cute! The last time I saw an Eevee was before Wyveon evolved.
Blake: Wyveon evolve from Eevee?
Taylor: That's right. So where are you heading?
Blake: We were heading to Hearthome City.
Taylor: So you're planning on entering the contest? If so, you're just like us.
Blake: That's great! Although we were just going there to watch it.
Taylor: Just watch it? Since you're going there, you should enter!
Blake: I've never entered a contest before.
Taylor: There's always a first time for everyone. I know that better than anyone.
Blake: So you've entered a contest before?
Taylor: That's right. I'm pretty sure I've done all the contests for Sinnoh. I've also compete in the Hoenn region, Unova region, Johto region, and Kanto region.
Blake: Wow! All by yourself?
Taylor: Yeah pretty much.
Eevee, and Piplup lay against Wyveons body as they all sleep
Taylor: Before I started doing Pokémon Contests me and some friends were apart of a team. Eventually one left to go on a journey to helo make our little club into an official team. Then I decided to do the same.
Blake: This is the first time I've ever traveled alone.
Taylor: How about this, why don't we go to Hearthome City together?
Blake: You don't mind?
Taylor: Not one bit.
"The next morning"
Blake wakes up and feels her bed hair
Blake: What do I do?
Taylor sits up
Taylor: Morning.
Blake: Don't look!
Blake sees Taylor with spiky hair
Taylor: This happens to you, too?
Blake: Every morning?
Blake and Taylor: Yeah.
They get out of the tent, and Piplup uses Bubble Beam on their hair. Their hair straights out
Taylor: Bubble Beam always comes in handy.
Blake: Thanks a lot, Piplup.
Wyveon gets out of the tent, and stretches
Wyveon: Veon.
"In the forest"
Blake, Taylor, and their Pokémon walk along the path
Blake: If we keep going on this path, we'll be sleep in a Pokémon Center tonight.
Taylor: I can not wait for that soft bed there.
"Hours later, sunset"
A Rhydon breaks through a tree
Blake: What the!?
Taylor: That's a Rhydon!
Blake: Eevee, use Tackle!
Eevee hits Rhyon, and jumps back
Taylor: Normal type moves aren't very efficient on Rock types. Leave this to me.
Blake: Got it.
Taylor: Wyveon, use Dragon Claw!
Wyveon jumps and uses Dragon Claw with its back legs. It kicks Rhydon a few feet away
Blake: Wow!
Taylor: Piplup, Whirlpool!
Piplup uses Whirlpool, and hits Rhydon. Rhydon sleeps
Taylor: Poor thing.
They see a purple light
Blake: What's that?
"With Natsu and Gio"
Natsu and Gio stand on a hill, looking at the forest
Gio: If we meet Darkrai, I wonder if we'll have to battle it.
Natsu: Yeah. I wonder if Cresselia will help us out.
Gio: Cresselia is a Pokémon that has a Lunar Wing which can cure Nightmares right?
Natsu: Yup.
"With Blake and Taylor"
Blake and Taylor approach an injured Cresselia
Blake: That light, so pretty.
Taylor: Cresselia.
Blake: So that's what it's called?
Blake aims her phone at Cresselia
Pokedéx: Cresselia. The Lunar Pokémon. A Psychic type. Cresselia has been known as a representation of the moon. It has the power to dispel nightmares.
Taylor: Why is it here?
Blake: You know it?
Taylor: It should be on Full Moon Island. I've read about it.
Cresselia winces
Blake: It's hurt.
Taylor: I'll take care of it.
Taylor takes a step and Cressila growls at it
Taylor: It's okay, Cresselia. I mean no harm.
A purple blade appears in the ground by Taylor's foot
Taylor: Psycho Cut.
Eevee walks up to Cresselia, and it calms down
Blake: That's all it took huh?
Taylor: Let's get started with the first aid.
Taylor pulls out some healing herbs from her bag, and begins treating Cresselia
"Now at night"
Blake: Who could do this?
Taylor: It couldn't have been Darkrai, right?
Blake: Darkrai?
Taylor: A Pokémon that can create nightmares. Cresselia can get rid of those nightmares. So they're considered enemies.
Taylor places the last bandage on Cresselia's beck
Taylor: And done.
Blake: Wow! You're amazing!
Taylor: Back before me and my friend went on our journeys, we had a teacher who taught me about about healing herbs. And my other friend had no room in his head for anything but Pokémon. He's kind of a Pokémon freak.
Blake: I've got a friend who's exactly like that.
"With Natsu and Gio"
Natsu sneezes
Gio: You okay?
Tigra: Gra, Gra.
Natsu: Yeah. I think someone was talking about me though.
Gio: Um?
"With Blake and Taylor"
Blake and Taylor sit around a camp fire
Taylor: So you came here for Contests?
Blake: Well sort of. Later after I arrived, I saw an interview with someone named Luna.
Taylor: So you saw the interview my Dad's girlfriend is in.
Blake: Wait what!?
Taylor: Surprise.
Blake: She's a Kalos Elite Four., legendary actress and model! And she's your Dad's girlfriend!?
Taylor: As well as great coordinator.
Blake: Than that also means your Dad is the Omega guy the interviewer talked about!
Taylor: Omega Fang, who also happens to be in the top eight of the Royal Cup.
Blake: Amazing!
Taylor: So what do your parents do?
Blake: My dad is kind of an artist, and my mom is a Pokémon Professor.
Taylor: Wow!
Blake: But since she's a professor, everyone thinks I'm going to be one too. And I hate that. Soon after I met Eevee, then I realized that I didn't have to rush anything.
Taylor: After you met it?
Blake: The thing is, my Eevee doesn't want to evolve. It wants to choose its own path, and when it finally decides what'll evolve into, I'll stand by its choice.
Taylor: That's kinda the same story about my Piplup. It just wants to stay as a Piplup.
Blake: Huh.
Taylor: As for Wyveon, it's personality, even after evolving, has never changed.
Wyveon rests on Taylor's lap, Eevee and Piplup eat from a bowl of mixed food and berries
Taylor: Blake, you just have to enter the contest.
Blake: I do?
Taylor: It's great to try out new things.
Blake: But.
Taylor and Wyveon stand up
Taylor: Piplup, Wyveon, let's go!
Wyveon: Veon!
Piplup: Lup!
Taylor goes behind a tree, and comes back out
Taylor: Ta-da!
Blake: You change fast!
Taylor: Now behold! Piplup, use Whirlpool!
Piplup uses Whirlpool, and Wyveon spins above the Whirlpool, Piplup spinning next to it
Blake: So pretty!
Taylor: Okay Wyveon, use Attract!
Wyveon: Veon!
Wyveon uses Attract, and hearts go everywhere
Eevee: Vee!
The Whirlpool breaks. Piplup and Wyveon lands to Taylor's right, and Piplup to her left
Taylor: And finished! That's how you do it, Blake.
Blake claps, and Eevee jumps
Eevee: Vee!
Blake: Amazing!
Cresselia: Cress?
Taylor: I guess it's about time to change the bandages. Blake, can you do it? I need to change back into my normal clothes.
Blake: Sure.
"Minutes later"
Blake puts the last bandage on
Blake: Is that how it's done?
Taylor: That's right.
Blake: So pretty.
Taylor: And strong. It knows a move called Lunar Dance. Which can heal injured Pokémon.
Blake: That's even cooler!
Taylor: I bet.
They fall asleep
"With Gio and Natsu"
Natsu: There's no sign of Darkrai.
Gio: There's gotta be something.
A twig snaps
Tigra: Gra!
Natsu: Over there!
Gio: Right!
They stand over a bush, and a Bidoof comes out of it
Bidoof: Doof?
Natsu: My bad, just a Bidoof.
They see a sleeping Bonsly
Gio: Poor thing.
Natsu: It looks like its having a nightmare.
Gio: Which means Darkrai is close by.
They turn around and see Darkrai
Natsu: Darkrai, everyone is having nightmares, and can't sleep. You have to stop this.
Darkrai flies away
Gio: Where's it going?
Natsu: There's something over there! C'mon!
The chase after Darkrai
"With Blake and Taylor"
Blake and Taylor protect Cresselia as Darkrai floats infront of them
Blake: Stop right there!
Taylor: You won't hurt Cresselia!
Cresselia: Cress!
Taylor: Wait, are you saying you don't want us to fight?
A Dusknoir and Solrock hop out of the bushes, two men behind them
Hunter 1: Found you!
Hunter 2: And Darkrai too? This just gets better.
Taylor: Pokémon Hunters!
Hunters: Get them!
Blake: Taylor, we have to get Cresselia away!
Taylor: Right!
Darkrai fights the Hunters Pokémon. Taylor, and Blake push Cresselia, and arrive at a beach
Blake: Now what'll we do?
A twig snaps, and Wyveon growls
Taylor: What now?
Blake: Keep an eye out!
Natsu and Gio walk out from the shadows
Natsu and Taylor: Wait what?
Gio: But how?
Blake: Why?
Natsu: It's Taylor!
Taylor: It's Natsu! It's been so long!
Tigra: Gra!
Tigra jumps into Taylor's arms, then down to greet Piplup and Wyveon
Natsu: So how are you hanging out with Blake?
Blake: You two know each other?
Taylor: Wait a second. You know Natsu, too?
Gio: Okay just hold on. Let's all review about this.
They sit on rocks
"Five minutes later"
Gio: So you're the white haired girl in the picture at the Storm Breaks base?
Taylor: That's right.
Natsu: Yeah, and along with Mike. We were the original members of the Storm Breakers.
Taylor: I still can't believe that you and Blake know each other.
Natsu: I'm on the same page as you. That reminds me. Lucario, let's go!
Natsu throws a Pokéball into the air, and Lucario comes out
Lucario: Rio?
Taylor: Lucario!?
Lucario tackles Taylor in a hug
Taylor: Look at how big you've gotten!
Gio: She knows Lucario too!?
Natsu: Yeah. She was there when it hatched as a Riolu.
Lucario and Taylor get up
Taylor: You must be so strong now!
Lucario smiles, and Wyveon tackles Lucario down
Gio: That Wyveon is a different color!
Taylor: That's right.
Blake: Different color?
Blake and Gio aim their phones at Wyveon
Pokedéx: Wyveon. The Scale Pokémon. A Dragon type, and one of the evolved forms of Eevee. Wyveon have the ability to make their scales feel like soft fur. When angry it can harden its scales and fire them at its opponents, after one is fired, a new one grows in right away.
Gio: So cool!
Natsu: Wyveon looks healthy. And you two got to meet Cresselia!
Blake: That "Pokémon freak" you mentioned.
Taylor: Yup. That's him.
Gio: So Blake, why did you come out here alone?
Blake: It's a long story.
Taylor: So you and Natsu are investigating the nightmares?
Natsu: You betcha.
Gio: We came because we were chasing Darkrai.
Taylor: Hmm?
Blake: Chasing?
Gio: It could be that Darkrai is looking for Cresselia.
Natsu: So Cresselia got hurt by Darkrai.
Taylor slaps the back of Natsu's head
Natsu: Ow!
Taylor: You've never changed.
Blake: I don't think that's right. When we saw Darkrai, it didn't attack us.
Taylor: And Cresselia didn't want us to fight it.
Blake: And Dakrai probably thought we hurt Cresselia.
Gio: So who did hurt Cresselia?
Lucario stands up and growls at the sky, Cresselia looks at where Lucario is looking
Natsu: What the!?
An airship flies above them. Holes open up on the bottom of the ship, and four women, and one man slide down on ropes
Natsu: Hunters.
Man: Get them!
Grunts: Yes sir! Let's go!
The grunts throw Pokéballs into the air, and they open
Toxicroak: Croak!
Rhyperior: Rhy!
Purugly: Pur!
Skuntank: Skunt!
Natsu: Tigra, Iron Tail!
Grunt 1: Skuntank, use Flamethrower!
Skuntank uses Flamethrower, and knocks Tigra back. A Pokéball opens and Infernape comes out
Gio: Infernape, use Fire Punch!
Infernape uses Fire Punch, and Toxicroak dodges it
Grunt 2: Use Venoshock!
Toxicroak uses Venoshock and hits Infernape
Taylor: Piplup, use Bubble Beam!
Grunt 3: Stone Edge!
Rhyperior uses Stone Edge, and blocks the Bubble Beam, another stone hits Piplup
Natsu: Lucario, Aura Sphere!
Lucario uses Aura Sphere. It breaks through the Stone Edge wall and hits Rhyperior
Grunt 4: Fury Swipes!
Purugly jumps at Cresselia
Blake: Not on my watch! Eevee, Tackle!
Eevee hits Purugly with Tackle. Darkrai appears above Cresselia
Man: About time.
Darkai floats infront of the Trainers
Grunt 2: Venoshock!
Grunt 1: Flamethrower!
All the Pokémon dodge the attacks. Rhyperior gets close to Cresselia, and Darkrai hits it with Dark Pulse, sending into the stone wall to the right
Blake: They aren't enemies!
Grunt 1: Get them!
Darkrai hits Skuntank with Dark Pulse, and Skuntank faints
Grunt 1: Oh no.
Natsu: Yeah!
Gio: All together!
Tigra uses Thunderbolt, Infernape uses Flamethrower, Piplup uses Bubble Beam, and Lucario uses Aura Sphere. The attacks hit Toxicroak and Purugly, and they land on Skuntank
Man: Fire!
Electricity shoots out of the airship and hits Darkrai
Natsu: Darkrai!
Darkrai lays on the sand
Gio: No!
A net is fired, and pins everyone to the ground
Taylor: No!
Blake: You people should be ashamed of yourselves!
Man: Shut it!
A light shines. Cresselia floats over Darkrai, and uses Lunar Dance
Natsu: So cool.
Taylor: That's Lunar Dance.
Darkrai's wounds heal, and floats
Darkrai: Dar!
Dakrai hits the Airship with Dark Pulse, then uses Dark Void on the Hunters and their Pokémon, they all sleep on the sand
Taylor: Take that!
Natsu: Iron Tail.
Tigra uses Iron Tail and breaks the net, and they all stand up
Blake: So it's over?
Gio: Looks that way.
Darkrai and Cressila fly away
Natsu: Bye Darkrai! Bye Cresselia!
Taylor: Take care!
Blake: Look out for each other!
Gio: The next time we meet I'm catching you both!
"The following morning"
Blake lays on a towel with an umbrella, and looks at her phone
Blake: Hello, Mom?
Professor Gara: Blake! Are you okay!?
Blake: Huh? Yeah I'm just fine. So how are those eggs?
"In the meeting room at Gara Laboratory"
Many Chimchar run around the lab
"Back with Blake"
Professor Gara: They hatched perfectly.
A Chimchar climbs onto Gara's shoulder and smiles
Chimchar: Chimchar!
Professor Gara: They're all so cute! If you need anything, give me a call.
The screen goes black
Blake: I have a good feeling about those Chimchar.
Blake sits up and sees the others playing in the water. Gio splashes Natsu, and Taylor stands being Natsu
Natsu: Oh, come on!
Piplup and Infernape talk. Tigra sleeps on the warm sand, Grookey splashes the water with its stick, Eevee jumps up and down, Lucario meditates on a rock, and Wyveon stares at the ocean
Blake: Hey, if we want to get the Contest, I think we should get moving now!
Taylor: Right. Piplup, Wyveon, let's go!
Piplup and Wyveon don't respond
Blake: Eevee, c'mon!
Eevee and Grookey play together
Taylor: I guess they're having to much fun to care about Contests.
Blake: It seems you're right. Oh well, it is summer vacation!
Taylor grabs Blake's hand
Taylor: That's right! So let's have some fun!
They all take a picture with their Pokémon standing in the water with wide smiles. Lucario has its arms crossed showing a small grin, Tigra, and Grookey on its shoulders, Piplup standing between its ears. Wyveon next to Taylor, and Eevee on its back. Infernape holds its arms up with a wide smile
Natsu: Best day ever!
