A/N: I'm back for another Mass Effect fanfiction, I'm mostly a FemShep x Kaidan person but recently I tried a MaleShep x Ashley playthrough, though leaving K' behind on Virmire hurt like hell. I know some people out there hate Ash but once you turn her paragon in ME1, she becomes such a lovable person. Here's a fanfic where Ash decides to take matters in hand because she has a feeling her Skipper may be still alive. This will be after ME3 destroy ending. Follow her along with Joker and everyone else on this adventure. Before I start: John Shepard, Sentinel, Spacer, War hero, Paragon, in a relationship with Ashley. EDI survived because her and Joker are endgame. The parts from ME: Andromeda are from my playthrough; Cora & Scott relationship, Salarian pathfinder as Council member, Sara will also play a major role. I played as Scott.

Ashley's POV
Ashley sighs as she looks at the memorial wall on Normandy's Crew Deck. Every time she passes by it, she shivers because she feels like someone is trying to send her a message, strange isn't it? She misses John a lot and deep down she knows he's out there, waiting for her. Determined, she decides to call a meeting in the war room. Hackett had chosen to promote James to Major and herself to Commander due to their wonderful efforts on defeating the Reapers alongside Commander Shepard. 'I'm coming to get you Skipper, hang tight...'
She goes to the war room where everyone soon arrives, question marks written on their faces, clearly not expecting this. 'You probably all wonder why I called a meeting. My gut tells me Shepard is still alive out there and is waiting for us to either rescue him or pick him up wherever he got stranded. We are his crew, have been through hell together and we came out as closer friends, coworkers or more in my case. We are family. I have no idea where we'll start searching so if anyone has any suggestion, go for it.'
Liara clears her throat having listened closely to Ash's words. 'I used to talk to someone called Alec Ryder, a former N7 who I believe got to the Andromeda galaxy by now with his twins Sara, Scott and their whole scientific team. He's the human Pathfinder for Ark Hyperion. If Shepard got stranded out there, he's in good hands. I know it may sound far stretched but it's Shepard everything is possible with him.' She chuckles
John's POV
I wake up after what feels a lifetime and feel my body aching everywhere. Last thing I remember is seeing the mass relays getting destroyed and hearing Hackett giving an evacuation order to all nearby ships. I guess he thought I wouldn't make it out alive. I lift my head to see a blue asari not far away, clearly not Liara. Wait am I in a ship? Looks like a medical bay. I sit up then stand up to get to a better look around. 'Hello? Can you tell me where I am please?' The asari doctor smiles presumably relieved I'm awake and comes up to me. 'Commander Shepard you're finally awake. Welcome aboard Ark Hyperion in the Andromeda galaxy. I'm Dr. Lexi T'Perro. Wait let me get the Pathfinder; he can explain everything to you in further details. Scott do you have a second? Shepard's awake.'
This Scott guy walks up to me and starts explaining about how they have found a place called Meridian. That's around the time the Citadel entered the atmosphere and nearly crashed into their ark. I internally chuckle, I really have a sense for destruction. He tells me how he had to find the turian, asari and salarian ark along with their Pathfinders. The quarian ark is still missing apparently. Does this mean Tali's people haven't arrived yet? What about the krogan? And the Normandy? Everything's a mess in my head. I need to reach out to Ashley somehow, tell her I'm still alive. Scott continues on to tell me he has an implant in his head called SAM who's based in something called SAM's Node, sounds like him and EDI could become friends. I also got to meet Scott's twin sister Sara who's a Prothean expert; basically Liara in human version. There's Cora Harper as well, Scott's girlfriend, reminds me of my Ash, god I miss her so bad. I need to contact Joker or anyone on the Normandy ASAP.
Feeling a lot better, I decide to explore Ark Hyperion by myself. This Ark is wonderful; it has everything people need from merchants to a bar, much better than the Citadel was. On my way to the hangar I spot a pink alien in the distance, oh hell no... 'Hey you, big stupid jellyfish did you follow me even here? I've had enough of your kind back home. (A/N: This one doesn't hate Jaal nor hanar, I really enjoyed Jaal's company during my playthrough) As I'm approaching it, I gulp, shit this isn't a hanar but a race I have never seen.
'Hey dude you're not allowed to insult my best friend, especially if you're the one coming from another galaxy.' A dark skinned young adult says, introducing himself as Liam Kosta. The alien introduces himself as Jaal Ama Darav and says he's angaran. I quickly apologize, stating it was rude of me but explaining that I had had a bad experience with hanar back in the days.
While standing here I ask Liam if he can guide me to the hangar or anyone who can help me arrange a long-range communication. He says their pilot Kallo could stating the Tempest can reach out to many frigates out there but he says he has another probably quicker way but seeing as I'm Commander Shepard I'd probably not like this. I wonder what this is about...
Ashley's POV
So Liara's plan has failed since her so called friend Alec Ryder has died or whatever. Ugh I'm pissed at the universe right now. I'm sure everyone sees me as a failure now, I had this big plan on how to rescue Shepard but it got crushed. As if sensing I'm feeling down, James shows up. 'Hey chica loca why so sappy?' I chuckle 'I'm pissed J', I thought it'd be easy you know but everything is so complicated and I really miss John. I don't even know if he's okay or if he's even alive. Can you imagine if we do all this for them to tell us he's actually dead' I sigh leaning myself against him. James has been an incredible friend in the last past months.
'Commander Williams I know you by now and if your gut says he's out there and so it is. C'mon where's big badass Ash?'
John's POV
On the way to the Tempest I get to know Liam a bit better and he reminds me so much of James, could be his twin from another galaxy. While talking to him, he suggests not going through official channels and doing this on our own else it'll take us ages to reach Normandy. I gotta say I like this guy more and more, a friendship is rapidly growing between us. Somehow he manages to loop Sara in as well, good the more the merrier. What feels like hours later, we finally manage to crack open a communication channel. 'If anybody can hear this in the Milky Way galaxy please respond, this is Commander John Shepard of the Alliance!' I sigh waiting for an answer. I'm so close to reconnect with my crew, my friends, my Ash. I know they made it out alive because Joker's a damn good pilot, the best in the universe and would never risk the crew's safety.
Joker's POV
As I was sleeping I got woken up by a string of beeps I haven't heard in a long time. I wonder if Wrex is playing with the communication channels again. I swear those Krogans... But that's when I hear his voice. Shit did I just dream this? 'Ashley you have to come to the bridge as quickly as possible, you're not going to believe it!' I want to jump up out of joy but refrain myself, I don't want to break any bones now.
Ashley's POV
After Joker's message I all but run up to meet up with him. That's when I hear John's voice. That's all too much for much and I let my brave facade fall. Tears are streaming down my face. 'John? It's Ashley, where the hell are you? Signal's showing you're in an uncharted part of the galaxy.' John tells us he's in the galaxy Liara told us about; Andromeda. EDI tries to plan a route for us even if it almost sounds impossible. I'm restless after this call. I can't believe I'm going to see Shepard again in a few weeks, the one who defeated the Reapers, brought peace to our galaxy, loves me for what I am. I'm going down to engineering, I need to "dance" with James to let my stress out.
John's POV
I can't believe it! It fucking worked, I have to wait approximatively two weeks to see my whole crew again. This feels so far stretched and impossible and yet I make things possible, what's up with me? I can spend those weeks preparing their arrival.
Time skip to Normandy's arrival to Andromeda
It's time, they are beginning their final approach on Meridian. Oh it's been so long and I'm feeling like a kid, eager to jump in their arms to welcome them home. I'm standing in the landing bay as Normandy touches down, the airlock opens and raven black hair rushes up to me, knocking me to the ground. Yeah that's Ashley no doubt. Her lips crashing down on mine, one of the best kisses I've ever shared with her. I think we're going to have our reunion fun tonight and it will be wild, noting the way her hands travel along my chest. She doesn't want to let go. Out of the corner of my left eye I see James grinning wide and winking at me, oh he knows. After a few minutes Ash lets go of my hold letting me hug everyone else. I introduce them to Scott's crew and that's how two families merge into one.
A/N: This is it, I know it's not my best work. But I promised Megan and I had this idea for a long time in my head. Though developing and me lol that's not my strength.
