Damn that stupid owner of this stupid building, I'm so furious. I've been waiting for almost an hour and the stupid boss isn't here yet. But Lolo Sente said that Mr. Decuesta is very professional. I snorted. Professional my ass. And where the hell is the secretary? I could ask for the basic work or atleast tour me. But, nada. Whoever the secretary is, he or she is nowhere to be found. My stomach made a growling sound. Ugh. I had an early breakfast and now I'm hungry na agad. Should I go to the Cafe I saw outside? The elevator pinged. I heard voices, laughter.
I followed the sound and I was frozen in my spot. There he was, the stupid smug man who called me little bunny. And of course, he's with his secretary. They haven't seen me yet. Atleast that's an advantage. I schooled myself a poker face.
I cleared my throat. Loud.
It was so obvious that they were startled. The woman was more shocked. Paled a little, even. But why? It's not, like, I'm gonna spill their little secret. She's been separated from her husband. It was a quiet one. Everyone was shocked. I wasn't. The real reason was swept under the rug. What a shame.
"Good Morning. Mr. Decuesta, I assumed?"

A small smile formed his lips, and what a sinful lips it is. What the hell? Stop it, Blaire!
"Good morning, Miss Clemende?. Ikaw ba ang apo ng Mr. Clemende?"
I frowned at the question. He basically hired me but he didn't know who I was? Huh. Stupid nga. Or the secretary didn't inform him? Huh. Mas stupid. Well, maybe, just maybe I should've search my supposed boss when Lolo informed me yesterday that I can start working for his friend's company. But he said he's friends with the owner so I assumed they're the same age. Huh. Okay, so it was a stupid-ish on my part. Just ish.
Hungry and irritated, I so badly want to snap.
"It's Miss Dreviosa. And I almost thought I was in the wrong building. I received an email from the HR and was told to come to work early. Before 8am. But well, I'm glad you're both here na. What's 45 minutes of waiting ba naman, right? I'm sure you did some...important...things to do...right?" I smirked slyly.
"As a matter of fact...we did. But it's none of your business...right?" The stupid cow said.
"Right. So am I going to wait for another 45 minutes or shall I start?"

Kitang kita ang pagka-irita ng bago nyang Personal Assistant. Kailan man ay hinde sumagi sa kanya na muli silang mag-kikita ng babae. Nakaupo sya sa kanyang swivel chair habang nasa harap naman nya ang babae na halatang iritado. Nahuli na naman nyang itong umirap. "Gawain mo bang umirap sa harap ng boss mo?" Sinamaan sya nito ng tingin at unti unting ngumiti.
"Of course not...Sir." Pero pa-simple pa rin itong umirap.
"I'm surprised you accepted my offer as my Personal Assistant, Ms. Dreviosa. Considering you weren't fond of me the first time we met."
Ngingisi ngisi nyang sabi. Halata sa mukha ng babae na napipikon na ito. "And of course, I'm sure you stalked me on the the internet after that encounter."
Huminga ng malalim at tila humuhugot kung saan ng pasensya, "First off all...Sir, I never ever stalked you. I'm too young to even make time for a matanda like you who's having an affair with his secretary. And second, as much as I wanted to tell whoever is willing to listen, I didn't. I'm not a chismosa. Although, come to think of it. It was not a chismis because it was true. Is true. So spare me your kayabangan na I stalked you." Maldita nitong sabi. "You wish." Pahabol nyang bulong.
Amused and entertained, "You think I'm, what's that? Matanda? So 30 is matanda for you, huh?" Hinde ito umimik kaya't kinuha nya ang file nito sa ibabaw ng kanyang lamesa. Blaire English Rose Dreviosa. 21 yrs old. Interesting name. It fits her. She looks cold but warm. If that makes sense. Napaisip sya, 9 yrs. isn't bad. "Mr. Clemende said the proposal for his new building in Singapore is with you."
Tahimik nitong inabot sa kanya. "You're suddenly quiet."
"I'm just waiting for whatever work I'm supposed to do as your Personal Assistant."
Unti unti nang namuo ang ngiti sa labi ni Matthew. "Well, have you seen Devil Wears Prada?"
"What?" Kunot noo nyang tanong. "Well, yes I have. It's one of my fave movies."
"That's good then. You'll be my Emily."
