Abhi shooks his head in no with expressionless face...... before he completes everyone's gets shattered it felt like someone snatched floor beneath their feets...... No this can't happen... how can they live without Manik they can't even imagine of that
Cabir can't believe that Manik is not alive while others were crying badly
Cab(holding abhi's shoulder):ye kya bakwas hai... kuch bol abhi humara Manik thik hai na....
Abhi didn't said anything he was just standing numb.... this makes cabir angry here they are dying with suspense and worry and he is not saying anything....
Cab(shouts):Abhi kuch bol....
Dr Lewis come between them and seperated cabir from Abhi
Dr:calm down Mr Dhawan.... what kind of behaviour this is.... you are also a doctor.... r u forgetting that....
Cab(still angry):then y he is not saying anything.... tell us na how is Manik he is fine or not (with breaking tone)is he.... Al... alive
Dr(in professional tone):yes the patient is alive.... the surgery went successful but
Everyone felt relief wash over them listening doctor's word
Cab:but what doctor....
Dr: surgery is successful but the patient is still not out of danger.... we have removed tumor but his condition is not good.... he is not responding to further treatment we have kept him in observation.... next 48 hours are very crucial for him if he didn't get conscious in 48 hours then we can't do anything.... he might slips into the coma or we may lose him....
All the relief they felt few minutes ago turned in worry in a second
Dr(tapped cabir's shoulder):we are shifting him to ICU just hope for the best
He nodded with teary eyes Nandini hugs Navya and start crying badly Astha also joined them but Abhi was still standing numb in his place.... Sid went to cabir and touched his shoulder cabir turned....
Sid:bhai please be strong.... agar aap ese kamjor pad jaoge toh baki sab ko kon sambhalega.... Manik Ko kuch nahi hoga Bhagwan use humse nahi cheenenge....
Sid hugs him and cabir break down in tears Sid let him cry.... after sometime Sid break the hug and wiped cabir's....
Sid:bhai please calm down (pointing towards Abhi) look at abhi bhai he needs you
Cabir looks at Abhi who is standing numb leaning to wall.... he went to him
Cab(softly):Abhi
Abhi didn't reacted he is standing still
Cab(holds his shoulder):Abhi kya hua tujhe say something y r u standing like this
All looks at them sadly
Cab(jerked him):Abhi kuch bol
Abhi looks at him with tearful eyes
Ab(whispers):Manik
Cabir made him sit on bench and take his hand in his hands
Cab(cups his cheek from one hand):Manik Ko kuch nahi hoga Abhi tu bilkul tension mat le
Nav:ha Abhi.... matarani use kuch nahi hone dengi tum ese mat Raho please....
Nan(teary):ha bhai.... aap ese kamjor pad jate ho toh Hume bohot dar lagta hai....
Astha(sits beside him):use kuch bhi nahi hoga Abhi
Abhi didn't replied to anyone he was just sitting silently staring the floor.... cabir is getting worried watching him like that.... if he keep like this his health also gets deteriorated he cupped his face and made him look at himself....
Cab:Abhi kya hua hai tujhe tu kyu ese behave kar Raha hai.... kuch bol na....
Saying this he hugs him after feeling the warmth of cabir's embrace he finally breaks down.... cabir let him cry as much as he wants he just keep rubbing his back gently....
All gets teary watching Abhi crying like this they have seen him crying before also but they never watched him this much broken today he is totally broken.... broken from the thought of his brother leaving him.... his heart is aching badly thinking about his full of life brother lying on hospital bed being lifeless fighting between life and death.... this is so heartbreaking for him....
After sometimes finally his cry subside into sobs.... cabir gently moved him away from him....
Cab(with misted eyes):tu ese tut jayega toh humara kya hoga Abhi
Ab: bohot koshish ki khud Ko sambhalne ki cabir.... par nahi ho paya mujhse Manik Ko esi condition me dekh ke Dil tut Gaya mera w...woh baccha meri happiness hai.... agar use kuch ho Gaya toh nahi Sambhal paunga main khud ko kabhi nahi....
Cabir hugs him again
Cab:kuch nahi hoga humare Manik Ko tu Chinta mat kar
Ab:kese chinta nahi Karu his condition is so bad aur main kuch kar bhi nahi pa raha ma...main toh.... doctor hu na.... Fir kyu main kuch nahi kar pa raha I'm so useless....
Cab(cups his face):dekh Abhi jo tere hath me tha tune sab kiya aur kar raha hai.... don't blame yourself.... Bharosa rakh Manik thik ho jayega.... jab yaha tak ka Safar tay kar hi liya hai usne toh aage bhi use kuch nahi hoga tu bas hosla rakh....
Abhi still not convinced but nodded
It's approx 4 pm all are sitting at hospital corridor hoping for something good happen.... at that time Dr Shashank come there and watched Abhi still sitting there looking very tired he sighs....
Dr Shashank(firmly): Dr Abhimanyu....
All startled by his voice Abhi stands up immediately
Ab:yes sir....
Shashank:Abhi you should go home you need rest.... you are looking exhausted....
Ab:no sir I'm fine.... I don't want to go and moreover I'm attending manik's case so....
Shashank:I knew it very well Abhi.... but right now you need rest, you are here from yesterday and dr cabir you too aapki family hai yaha, tab tak aap log ghar jaiye
Ab and cabir:but sir....
Dr Shashank sighed as they are too stubborn but he don't want them to get ill as they are close to that
Shashank(firmly): it's my order both of you go
Ab(tensed):but sir Manik....
Shashank:dr Lewis is here, he can handle till then I have talked with him.... cabir go nd take him too....
Saying this Dr Shashank left from there leaving no space for argument.... Abhi and cabir half-heartedly left from there....
They reached MM after sometime.... Kaka watched them entering he immediately rushed near them.... cabir stopped infront of him whereas Abhi moves to his room without saying a word....
Kaka(hopefully):Manik baba kese hai woh thik toh hai na
Cab:use Abhi hosh nahi Aya hai Kaka par jald hi ajayega.... aap chinta mat kijiye
Kaka(with misted eyes):woh thik toh ho jayenge na
Cab:ha Kaka woh bilkul thik ho jayega aur jaldi hi ghar bhi wapas ajaega.... bas aap Bhagwan uske jaldi thik hone ki kamna kare....
Kaka(sadly):hum toh roj Bhagwan se bas Manik baba ki salamati ki dua mangte hai ki bas woh jaldi se thik ho jaye aur ghar wapas ajaye.... ye ghar unke bagair ekdum soona hai....
Cabir(hugs him):jaldi hi firse is ghar me khushiyan Laut ayengi Kaka aap bas Vishwas Rakho
He broke the hug and Kaka nodded positively
Cab:aap Abhi k liye kuch khane k liye banwa dijiye.... usne kal raat se kuch nahi khaya hai....
Kaka nodded and went to kitchen and Cabir went to frehnup
After sometime
Abhi comes out after changing in fresh clothes he was about to go down but stopped infront of manik's room
Lafzon se jo tha pare
Khaalipan ko jo bhare

He entered inside the room and looks around it was empty a tear drop from his eyes
Rishte ko kya mod doon
Naata yeh abb tod doon

He was remembering manik's smile he can hear his voice of laughter

His eyes were flooded with tears

He went near his bed and picked up his picture in which he was smiling
A smile spread on his face he caresses the picture and hugs it tightly near his eyes and start crying bitterly

Cabir entered there with food for abhi and watched abhi crying like that.... he was also missing manik his partner in crime so much.... but he can't fall weak he have to be strong....

Cabir wipes Abhi's tears and picks up the plate he bringed for Abhi
Cab:chal ab kuch kha le kal se kuch nahi khaya hai

Before he could say anything cabir interrupt
Cab(firmly):main kuch nahi sunne wala.... I know tera man nahi hai,pet bhi bhara hai aur tujhse khaya bhi nahi jayega.... fir bhi tujhe khana padega samjha tu.... tujhe Manik ka khayal rakhna hai toh khud ka bhi khayal rakhna padega....
Ab(sighs sadly):main thik hu cabir....
Cab: I know tu thik hai aur main yahi chahta hu ki tu aage bhi thik hi rahe isiliye khale.... u need it
Saying this he forwarded a morsel to him Abhi eats it quietly after eating 2-3 morsel
Ab: tu bhi khale.... tune bhi kuch nahi khaya hai tujhe bhi energy ki jarurat hai.... tabse hum sab ko sambhal raha hai....
Cab(smiles):main kha lunga tu kha le pehle
Ab:Mene teri baat mani, ab tu bhi meri baat sun chup chap
Cabir nodded and call butler to bring food for him too.... then both have their food silently....
Cabir went to put empty plates to kitchen as he comes back after that he watched abhi is sleeping in sitting position he sighs sadly, he know abhi was too exhausted that's why he slept, cabir is relaxed at least get some needed sleep.... He also went lie on the couch and sleep took over him in few seconds.... Both are equally tired and emotionally drained out they really needed rest...
Abhi woked up with the jerk whispering "Manik" he looks around and realise he is at home.... but y he is here, he have to be with Manik.... how can he sleep his brother needs him he was about to get down at that time cabir entered there who woke up sometimes back....
Cab:uth gaya....
Ab(worried):main so Gaya tha.... tune mujhe uthaya kyu nahi, mujhe toh abhi hospital me hona chahiye tha aur main yaha pe so Raha tha.... Manik Ko meri jarurat hai....
He was renting everything continuously cabir sighs and come near him and sit infront of him
Cab(interrupting him):calm down Abhi manik is still unconscious.... Dr Lewis is still there for him.... tu kyu itna panic kar Raha hai waha Navya aur Astha bhi hai koi bhi jarurat hogi woh call karengi.... Tujhe rest ki jarurat thi
Ab:par....
Cab:par war kuch nahi.... tu shant ho ja hum chalte hai hospital kuch der me jab tak tu ye juice pi....
Handing him the glass of juice
Ab: mujhe nahi....
Before he complete his words cabir interrupt him
Cab:ha pata hai tujhe nahi peena, man nahi hai, jarurat nahi hai I'm bored with these dialogues.... us time bhi Mene bola tha.... isiliye peena padega.... chup chap pee le
Abhi sighs defeated and drink it
Ab: and what about you
Cab:maine coffee pi li thi, don't worry
It's night time everyone are still in hospital at that time doctor comes there
Dr: only one person is allowed to stay with the patient.... rest can go
As Abhi have manik's incharge so no argument for him cabir decided to stay with him
Cab:main abhi k sath rukta hu tum sab jao.... humne din me rest bhi kar Liya tha wese bhi....
All agreed
Nav:can we see him once Abhi.... hum use bilkul disturb nahi karenge....
Ab(understanding her concern):ok you can but one by one
They all went inside to see him one by one.... they feels so bad watching Manik like that.... now it's nandini's turn
Nandini opens ICU's door slowly she gasped watching manik who was lying there looking so pale, surrounded by so many machines having a big bandage on his head, he was breathing through oxygen mask.... her heart brokes watching him like this she moves toward him slowly and sit beside him,she caresses his hairs gently....
Nan(teary):wese toh bohot kuch kehna tha tumse.... par ab kya bolu kuch samajh nahi araha....
She touched his hand gently
Nan:bas itna hi kahungi I really love you manik.... you came in my life aur tumne meri zindagi Badal di, mujhe Rishton ke mayne samjhaye, mujhe ek idiot girl se good girl Bana diya ab please mujhe chod ke mat Jana warna main seh nahi paungi....
Tears are flowing from her eyes she wiped that roughly
Nan:you are my first love Manik aur main tumhe khona nahi chahti please come back.... come back for me, for Abhi bhai woh jee nahi payenge tumhare Bina...
She kissed his forehead again
Nan(whispers):I love you Manik I'm waiting for you take as much as rest you want
Saying this she left for home with others only Abhi and cabir stayed there
After sometime
Abhi was sitting beside Manik holding his hand which don't have IV Cabir went to check one of his patient
Ab:aur kitna soyega baccha.... ab uth bhi jao.... tumhe toh rest karna bilkul pasand nahi hai na.... fir kyu itna so rahe ho ab.... come on wake up
No response.... the only response abhi got is the beeping sound of machine....
Ab:tumhe toh pata hai na manik how much I love you.... agar tumhe ho gaya baccha toh main tut jaunga aur agar is baat tuta toh dobara main khud ko sambhal nahi paunga.... Har baar meri zindagi me koi manik thodi ayega jo mujhe jeena sikhaye.... you mean world to me baccha
He kissed his head
Ab:mere liye uth jao na kiddo.... tumhe mere pyaar ka vasta please
Still there was no response and This made abhi sad.... but he can't loose hope.... he have too many fears right now.... what if manik won't wake up and if he does, what if he forget about him.... he can't stop himself to think about that but he can bear any consequences he just wants manik to gains consciousness.....
Next evening
Everyone was there in hospital outside the ICU waiting for manik to get conscious @ that time a nurse come their panicking.....
Nurse(panicked):Dr Abhi wo...Woh..
Nurse said this to Abhi who was there talking with cabir
Ab(worried):yes sister what happen
Nurse: Dr woh patient of ICU he is sinking..... his condition is worsening dr please come fast....
All went just numb listening this..... coz she is saying about manik only..... Abhi rushed toward ICU immediately....
All rush toward ICU.... Abhi entered enter inside.... Dr Lewis was also present there here cabir was about to enter..... but nurse stopped him....he half-heartedly stands outside only....
Inside the ICU
Manik is sinking.... he is having difficulty in breathing.... Abhi rushed toward him and start his checkup.... Dr Lewis and other doctors were also trying their level best..... but still Manik's breathing is not getting Normal..... his pulse is also dropping.....all the doctors are extremely tensed especially Abhi his heart is breaking bit by bit watching Manik in this horrible condition....
Here outside all are praying for manik's safety their tears r not stopping.... they were crying badly
Inside the ICU doctors were treating Manik.... they are r trying to control his breath but nothing happens..... at last his breathing gets stopped and the machine shows single straight line....
Doctors bow down their heads.... whereas Abhi startled..... No this can't happen his Manik can't leave him god can't be so unfair to him he can't snatch his Manik like his mother and brother no he won't let this happen
Ab(whispers):no this can't happen
His trance is broken by other doctor who is calling him he looks toward him
Doc: only one hope is left we have to give him shock
Abhi's heart shattered listening this but he have to be strong he won't break now his boy needs him
Ab(emotionless):yeah we have to
Here outside all are just waiting for Abhi to come outside and give them a good news that Manik is fine they are totally unaware from the condition inside
Inside Abhi start giving him shock.... his body get startled.... A tear dropped from his eyes immediately he can't see him in this much pain..... but he takes a deep breath to calm himself down and again start his work 3 shock r given to him but still no effect..... now doctors also loose hope....
Dr Lewis:one last
Ab(whispers): please baccha come back to us I'll die without you please
He again give him shock There was no effect Abhi stumbled in his place he felt like his whole world just crashed but after few seconds Manik finally takes a deep breath.... doctors also watched him they immediately come near him abhi's eyes misted with tears his happiness have no boundary his Manik is back
He moves near him and again put oxygen mast..... Manik open his eyes for a moment but again went unconcious..... Abhi give him some injection and finally come out with satisfied smile..... All watched him & rushed toward him....
Cab(impatiently): Manik kesa h Abhi Woh thik h na
Abhi(with happy tears):he is out of danger now my Manik is out of danger
Relief wash over them listening him they are too happy they hugged each other Abhi hugs Astha
Ab:mera Manik wapas agaya Astha
Astha broke the hug and kissed his forehead
As(teary):ha Abhi humara Manik wapas agaya sirf tumhari wajah se
Saying this all have a group hug
