"How dare you touch me you peasant!"

A noble man's yell can be heard in the middle of the crowd.

A young child tried to go inside the crowd to see what's happening.

When she almost got in the middle, She heard a familiar quavering voice.

"....P-please I beg you mercy."

Seeing the person trembling and kneeling continuously, she realized something.

Her heart shattered into pieces seeing him begging in front of the crowd.

The man who was kneeling was her father.

The one who took care of her when her mother died.

With tears flowing in her eyes, she quickly rushed to him.

"Father, What happened?"

"My daughter, why are you here?" With jolt movement and a shocked face, he replied.

She held his warm hands as she looked up at the noble man who had a fumed expression.

"Aha!"

The noble man raised his eyebrows and sneered.

"You have a pretty daughter. How about you sell her in your place?"

"No, I'd rather die."

Father replied as he tried to push me away.

"Grace my daughter, get out of here!"

"Father, I won't."

She didn't let go of his hand but her neighbors pulled her out of his reach.

After that scenario, she didn't see her father again.

She was inside a small hut made of straw with no one to take care of.

'Father where are you? I miss you.'

With the help of her neighbors, they gave her a piece of bread to eat for the night.

"Where is my father, sister?" She asked one of the neighbors who visited her.

"You'll never get to see him again."

The young child didn't understand what her neighbors meant at that time since she was just a child. But after she woke up in the morning, she was brought together with her neighbors to gather at the center of the neighborhood, where a big stage was placed.

There the young child saw her father being tied up and with his knee pointed on the ground.

Her father was being dragged towards the big blade by a person who was wearing a black robe attire.

"Fa-Father!"

She shouted and her father seemed to notice her.

She ran towards him but her neighbor stopped her.

In her very own eyes, she saw her father's head flying being sliced by a blade of a guillotine.

His blood splattered everywhere.

Everyone who was in the area was looking as if it was just normal.

The person who wears a black robe picks up his head and puts it in a black bag.

There was a mourn in the crowd.

"He had a child right? What would happen to her now? Poor child."

"He just bumped into a noble yet he got his head cut. Tsk, nobles."

The neighbor who brought her, held her gently and said: "That's what you get by touching a patrician. Never ever serve a noble in your life."

"Father, no!"

She loosened the grip from the hand of her neighbor who held her and the neighbor let her go.

The young child run away swiftly from that place.

Run away from what happened.

◇◆◇

It's been 2 days since I ran away and the death of my father.

I haven't eaten not a single loaf of bread or drank a droplet of water.

Death seems to be following me as I wander and walk in the streets.

".....Father."

I have no strength left so I have no choice but to lean on concrete walls.

No food can be found, not even inside of the garbage.

I took my last breath and closed my eyes.

'Father, Mother. I'm coming, wait for me please?'

◇◆◇

When I open my eyes, I feel comfortable. It must be called heaven as what the nobles said.

"Oh you, wake up?"

A middle aged man opened the door and showed his self.

"Bonjour, jeune femme."

I don't know what he said so I tilted my head.

"You don't understand middle english?" He asked me.

"... I understand english."

With my reply, he smiled.

"W-where am I?"

"At the temple, little girl"

'I didn't die?'

"I found you lying in the dumpster beside the trash." He said then, he sat down beside me.

"I'm the archpriest."

"Thank you.... for taking me."

If god gave me a second chance, maybe this was.

And I was grateful.

◇◆◇

○↛ Eight years later ↚○

It's been eight years since I came to the temple.

I was thankful to the archpriest but he said I needed to thank the goddess and so I became one of the servants here.

I live here very well.

I prayed at the temple, cleaned some rooms and communicated with my fellow sisters and servants.

but.....

I can still feel a prick sensation in my heart as if there was a thorn.

Every time I see nobles or patricians passing by, my heart pricks.

It still yearns for revenge for my beloved father.

'My heart still remembered the pain.'

Nobles often visit the temple for a prayer petition, and that makes my hatred for them grow more.

Day by day, they were in the prayer room, but the truth was, they were just closing their eyes then done.

For them, coming to the temple is just to get some fame and popularity in the social circle.

When I saw them, they were smiling arrogantly and proudly.

They mistaken their title for a privilege, but the thing is they were just lucky they're born as a noble.

◇◆◇

A noble carriage arrived in front of the temple, when the door opened, the coachman was the one who carried the person.

The person the coachman was carrying was a small young lady.

She was covered with a blanket.

'What happened?'

When I got closer to the coachman, I saw the young lady closing her eyes, she had fainted. Her face was wet.

It's obvious she got drenched in water, perhaps she drowned in a lake.

I never get to serve a noble since I don't like them, but there were no available servants, so I had no choice but to do it.

As my fellow servants said, the young lady from the carriage was the daughter of the Elsteel couple; a Count.

They said that their child was the 'Noble brat'.

And her name was Sabrina Collin Elsteel, they said she has a hobby of slapping servants, she fired almost all of their servants in her household.

'Wow this child is at the next level.'
