I thought everything would change
I thought she would hold him close and kiss him....
But...
I was wrong
*sigh* I can't seem to understand her
Nothing changed, well
Nothing changed except she now had a person she would call her 'boyfriend'
But she didn't hold him close
Or kiss him, anywhere
Or cuddle him up
Or make chessy love confessions.
He seemed like any other guy friend she had....
They would talk
They would laugh
They hung out only with other people along them ...
They seemed like they were good friends...
She didn't do anything a girl with a boyfriend would typically do...
She didn't talk about him all day
She didn't tell me about the special moments they shared together
I am not even sure if there were any "special moments" with him...
She didn't tell me how nice, caring or good looking he was....
She didn't do any of the things girls would usually do when they liked someone....
I also didn't see her eyes shine around him the way it did around me.
Even when he was with her, it felt like her eyes were searching for someone else
That someone else being me...
And when she saw me her eyes would light up and there was some sort of relief!? In it...
I hated this
I hated me being delusional
I hated thinking maybe ,
Just maybe she liked me the way I liked her...
Maybe she was suppressing her emotions cause all we have been thought was being queer was the biggest sin one could commit....
When I was on my way to the restroom I saw him, more like heard him, her so called boyfriend, he was on a call
"Yeah, I'm with my girlfriend..... But even though I'm her boyfriend it feels like I'm third wheeling between those two"
That was all it took for me to hope....
To hope that maybe I was not being delusional
Maybe she did like me back....
Just Maybe she liked me the way I liked her
