"Five more minutes..."
Brooklynn managed to groan out as Camille was at the opposite end of the bed she let out a few mumbled sounds before making actual sense, kicking Brooklynn in the jaw now and then but both girls were a little clueless.
"One hundred minutes more..." Camille said sluggishly earning a laugh from Sammy as the two girls upon the bed covered their eyes trying to sleep more when the sound of plastic thumping drew everybody's attention over as Brooklynn rubbed her eyes leaning on her elbow.
"No mas agua. A little help" Kenji's hand waved over the top of a metal fence where they placed a makeshift shower,
"I got you, Kenj" Darius put down the small book he held, standing up to grab the jug,
"If you keep doing that for him, he'll never learn to do it for himself," Yasmina said watching as Darius shrugged, making his way down the slide they installed that reached the ground,
"You two getting up?" Sammy looked over to Brooklynn and Camille, Brooklynn was already sitting up while Camille was hanging over the edge tiredly.
"Getting there..." Camille said through a yawn as Brooklynn gave her a pat on the head, quickly sliding down off the bed and onto her feet before Camille could grab her, Darius had called out grabbing everybody's attention again.
Camille slipped off the edge, falling from the bed with a harsh landing before she quickly followed everybody else down, taking her jacket off from the edge of the bed while trying to slip her shoes on at the same time.
"That sounded like it hurt by the way," Yasmina said towards Camille who seemed confused at first,
"When you fell, I mean," Yasmina said in a sassy way almost as Camille scoffed while attempting to bite back her tongue,
"Yeah, kinda fell-- softly mhm" Camille whispered as she swerved from the flirtatious comment while Yasmina rolled her eyes, smiling before Camille walked off facepalming multiple times earning a giggle from Yasmina before they began examining what seemed to be an empty river.
"Where'd the water go?" Sammy asked as everybody thought the same,
"Why don't we ask Mr. 45-Minute Shower?" Yasmina spoke with a cold tone as she looked back to Kenji she placed a hand on her hip, shifting her weight over.
Kenji was drying his hair with a towel, "Hey, looking good is part of my brand. And no way I drained a whole river. Hmm?" He had a fair point.
Camille watched Brooklynn slide down into the empty river, Camille took a step, crouching by the edge while she looked left to right at the empty river.
Yasmina crept behind her grabbing her shoulders, Camille nearly fell as she gripped the side of the river's edge though she tipped forwards, rolling down into the river bank before she rolled to her feet looking up at Yasmina, her arms wrapping around her ribs as she lightly coughed.
"Your lucky that didn't hurt as much as when I fell out of bed" She pointed upwards, brushing herself down as her whole body was still tender and healing as she clenched her teeth,
"I'm still gravely injured..." Camille added on as Yasmina widened her eyes before smiling innocently,
"my sincerest apology," she said, bowing to Camille in a fancy manner,
"not very sincere.." Camille poked her tongue out as Yasmina did the same before Brooklynn shushed everybody.
It fell silent as everybody looked around confused about why she did so.
"I hear that hum again" Everybody let out loud groans, rolling their eyes at Brooklynn "The river must've been drowning it out. If I follow that, I can find--"
"Frozen patch of flowers," the entire group said at once,
"Oh..." Brooklynn gently folded her arms laughing awkwardly, "I've mentioned it, huh?"
"The frozen flowers you saw once but have never found again? Yeah. A few hundred times!!" Kenji itched his ear with a finger,
"Uh, I'm sorry for wanting to get to the bottom of all this weirdness on the island.." Brooklynn turned around opening her arms before dropping them into fists, "I came to unbox--"
"Unbox Jurassic World, and that's what I'm gonna do," Everybody said simultaneously as Brooklynn turned back around, unamused at everybody as Camille stood in the empty river glancing up both directions.
"If you're gonna go look for the noise, I'll come too!!" Sammy jumped up and down before she crossed the river running up to Brooklynn,
"If that's okay, It'd be nice to have an adventure for a fun reason and not a fleeing dinosaurs or facing imminent death reason," Sammy said with a shrug as Camille began climbing out of the river only to be knocked aside by Yasmina.
"I'll go if Sammy is-" Yasmina called as she looked back over,
"And Brooklynn too.." Camille grit her teeth together feeling the ache strike her body after being elbowed out the wa. Camille launched herself up onto the grass landing with a heavy thud.
"Ooh, it's a Camp Cretaceous girl adventure!" Sammy gleamed with joy, jumping up and down.
"I'm here too..." Camille said as she stood fully, furrowing her brows as the three girls apologized,
"It's fine...used to it..." Camille mumbled under her breath as Yasmina was the only one who heard, she went to say something but was cut off by Darius.
"Great! You do that. Kenji and I will figure out why the river stopped!"
"Kenji do what, now?" He answered quickly to Darius's statement,
"You wanna keep up your shower habit, and also survive? Let's go unbox the mystery of the missing water" Darius acted mysteriously as Kenji was purely unmoved,
"Fine, I'm in. It makes sense. I know this island like the--"
"The back of my VIP hand," Everybody said in unison again,
"We have been spending way too much time together," Kenji said in a low tone as everybody agreed with a laugh before the two groups went their separate ways grabbing supplies along the way.
During the walk around, Camille stood with Brooklynn who was leading upfront whereas behind Sammy and Yasmina were chatting away.
Every so often Camille would glare back at the two giving her an unsettling feeling.
Camille was using the bat she found back at the Main Street as a crutch to help her walk the journey while Brooklynn kept by her side.
Brooklynn leaned over whispering to Camille, "they're kinda excluding us...don't you think?"
Camille kept her gaze forwards shrugging, "welcome to my world..." she answered blandly as Brooklynn frowned lightly.
"I'm sorry Camille--" She glanced back to the duo behind before back up to the taller girl,
"Don't be sorry, it's not your fault..." Camille tiredly exhaled running a hand over her eyes,
"You alright?" Brooklynn raised a brow, leaning forwards to glance over Camille's face,
"Yeah I'm just...tired..." She faintly smiled at the shorter girl as Brooklynn chewed the inner side of her lips,
"Are you sure?" Brooklynn softly frowned as Camille softly nodded with a gentle smile before Brooklynn had linked arms with her, Brooklynn rested her head against Camille's arm.
"Favorite place?" Yasmina asked Sammy giggling, "High school," Sammy said, straightforward,
"Your favorite place in the world is high school?" Yasmina raised her brows at the girl,
"Yeah! There's lockers, dances, passing notes in class, getting detention for passing notes in class" Sammy whispered behind her hand as Yasmina looked at her funny,
"No! School is where you do boring stuff before comin' back and doing it all over again" Sammy looked at Yasmina with her eyebrows raised before Yasmina said in a low tone, "I may like square pizza in the cafeteria"
"Oh, please! Your favorite is orange, orange, and orange" The two girls began laughing again as Brooklynn backed up towards to two in an act to engage in conversation, Camille kept on leading.
"Oh, wow! Yeah! Pizza is orange, So funny, right?" Brooklynn laughed awkwardly as Camille tried not to laugh up ahead hearing the girl,
"Oh...no. It was kinda something Yaz said before" Sammy and Yasmina looked at her with both pitiful and awkward looks.
"Oh. Cool. Yeah, cool, cool, cool" Brooklynn tried to play it off though she shamefully walked back up to Camille as the two muttered away, Yasmina spoke up though she sounded sarcastic. It was her usual tone.
"Hey. What's your favorite thing about school, Brooklynn?"
"Wow. How to pick just one? I mean--" Her acting was terrible, but her voice took the cake,
"I really love the big...food fights? Big food fights?" They had stopped walking as Yasmina slowly nodded her head,
"Uh-uh. You've never been to a high school, have you?" Yasmina raised a brow with her arms folded,
"No. A hundred percent online tutors..." Brooklynn said gloomily before perking back up,
"But I dropped a scone in front of the queen while making my Unboxing Buckingham Palace video! Total food fight, right?"
"Well..."
"Sure--"
Yasmina and Sammy finished each other's sentences as Camille clenched her hand around the bat, earning a slight bump from Brooklynn,
"Um..." Brooklynn stifled out as Camille released the tension from her shoulders,
"What about you Cami, you're in high school right?" Sammy asked still gleaming with energy as Camille thought for a moment.
"Yeah, been at two actually-" She shrugged though everybody seemed intrigued suddenly, ushering her to continue,
"uh, one a boarding school and the others a prestige sports school which is where I'm at now.."
"Well, what do you enjoy about it there?" Sammy asked with a hand on her hip with a grin wider than wide as Camille had to take a moment to think again,
"Not much, being away from my parents and just getting away from my house and socializing. I do a lot for the school being a captain and all..." Camille smiled to herself about her captaincy position she was in, being high up in the schools so called 'hierarchy'.
Yasmina tilted her head to the side "captain you say?" Camille pushed her tongue to the side of her cheek,
"College captain, one for each year and...I'm the leader for mine..so..." Camille with a slick smile,
"that's so cool you go to a special school for sports! Makes so much sense on why you are such an incredible baseball player right!" Sammy complimented Camille as the girl shrugged with a small smile,
"I guess so.." Camille mumbled with a pink tint on her cheeks before Brooklynn cleared her throat gaining the attention again,
"We should keep moving--" Everybody agreed as they took a few more steps forward when Brooklynn came to a stop.
"I think this is the place.." She crouched down by a patch of flowers when suddenly a loud hum rang out in the area as Brooklynn fell back,
"The hum!" Sammy called stepping forwards,
"I hear it" Yasmina looked toward the sound,
"The hell?" Camille itched her head,
"I told you guys!" Brooklynn snapped before she crouched again, holding her hands over the flowers as they were swayed around,
"It's super cold air..." the trio standing crouched over Brooklynn getting a closer look.
"And the ground's vibrating?" Brooklynn pushed the flowers aside to reveal a large vent in the ground,
"Whaaaaat?" Sammy called out, as confused as the rest of them.
"I knew we'd find it!" Brooklynn said examining the vent further, "Wait. If there's no electricity on the island, what's powering this? This place keeps getting weirder and weirder"
Suddenly Sammy let out a big gasp, "Yaz, Yaz, Yaz!" Sammy gripped Yasmina's arm, shaking her like a rag doll,
"This is like that episode where Esther follows that graffiti trail..!!" Brooklynn and Camille looked over as Sammy and Yasmina smiled innocently.
"Sorry, Yaz and I were talking about this show we love..." Sammy said but Brooklynn shouted over the top, "Esther Stone: High School P.I. Episode 23-- she exposed a cryptocurrency ring. I've seen every episode 80 times!"
"No way! You watch Esther Stone?" Sammy gasped before she clasped her hands together with Brooklyn's.
"Whats Esther stone...?" Camille tilted her head, confused about what they were talking about as she felt highly left out. She wasn't one to watch tv as much as one would think, school kept her preoccupied most of the time yet with her friends and her roaming Paris her days felt they could never bore her.
But was she surprised?
Not in the slightest.
"Huh. Famous people are just like us" Yasmina giving a short smile,
"A K-pop group turned me onto it. I was touring with them!!" Brooklynn said gleaming with joy as Yasmina scoffed, "Ish. Like us-ish"
"Then what are we waiting for?" Sammy hooked her arms around Brooklynn and Yasmina, Camille watching as she felt her laid-back persona leave her body as the rage inside her was like dynamite, ready to be lit at any moment in time,
"It's time to investigate..."
"A Stone-cold mystery!" They said in unison,
"Spread out. See if you can feel more vibrations!" Brooklynn suggested before the trio split up as Camille stood, letting out a slow sigh
"Wow, great huddle guys--"
"Hey! I hear something!" Yasmina called as she looked around, everybody approached behind her.
"Follow that hum!" Sammy said with a grin as the four began running, following the humming sound before Brooklynn paused crouching down, "The vibrations are stronger.."
"We're on the right track!" Sammy pumped her fist before pointing onward, "this way!" the four kept on running as Brooklynn began talking about the show again.
"Remember when Esther figured out the superintendent's phone vibrating was actually Morse code?"
"And that killer chase scene in the abandoned warehouse?"
"But still, made it to prom in that amazing dress? So good!"
"Amazing, loved it..." Camille said sarcastically as she deadpanned, she was not enjoying this right now as everybody kept giggling away.
"I love that episode when she finds the...genetics lab?" Everybody had slowed down, coming to a halt.
"But that was in season two, We don't talk about season two," Sammy said, oblivious to the building ahead,
"Not that lab. That lab--" Brooklynn motioned over as they had seemingly found their way to the genetics lab somehow.
The four made their way into the labs, Camille pried the first door open with the bat making her way through with the others slinking behind.
Brooklynn attempted the second door yet Camille angrily pushed through smashing the door open before they slowly walked inside making their way into Dr. Wu's office, this time Brooklynn was able to open the door.
"Indominus Rex, the hum, Mantah Corp?" Brooklynn looked around as Sammy repeated after her,
"Mantah Corp?" Sammy looked to Brooklynn as the girl was exploring the room,
"Yeah. It all connects here. Dr. Wu was up to something big, something secret.." Yasmina tried the lights though nothing happened,
"No power..." Camille scoffed leaning against the wall,
"Suprised the light above you still works" The two girls looked up at the faintly lit and discoloured light.
"Who-- who do you think took everything?" Sammy studdering as she looked over at Brooklynn.
"Something's gotta be here!" Brooklynn stood quickly as she rushed back out, the trio following behind as they moved back into the lab area that was trashed entirely with bits and bobs littered around where they had found the birthday guy hiding out.
"That birthday guy! Of course!" Brooklyn called out,
"Who?" Yasmina turned over,
"The van-stealing birthday weirdo, remember?" Brooklynn held up the image she found on the floor before throwing it away,
"Where you nearly got crushed by Indominus" Camille added as Yasmina shivered faintly, Camille quietly apologized before she wandered around the lab looking for anything.
"He mentioned something about the other guys, and that no one knew what was really going on here. Could he have been working for Mantah Corp?"
She lifted a group of papers before throwing them into the air, "Again! Nothing!" She sat back, keeping her knees close to her chest feeling defeated she didn't find nothing,
"Brooklynn. What did you expect to find?" Yasmina asked, pitying the girl as she frowned, Camille glanced around the large circular pillar covering majority of the middle of the room.
She looked at the shattered vials and broken concrete shelves, running her fingers of the cracks trying to figure out what could've caused such damage when the sound of a low growl echoed down the hall had Camille leaping up and over a flipped table.
Camille looked over as she saw Yasmina behind a table while Brooklynn and Sammy were ducked behind another.
Yasmina was shushing the girls when suddenly a Baryonyx was standing over the duo lurking behind them with its nostrils widely flared.
Camille slowly brought a hand to her mouth watching the drool form against its large teeth.
Camille glanced down before taking a large piece of glass and throwing it far across the room.
The Baryonyx lifted its head high, heading towards the noise.
Brooklynn moved and ducked behind another table with Sammy following. Camille tensed up watching the girls before they moved again to where Yasmina was hiding.
Camille could hear the footsteps of the dinosaur move further away as the trio then attempted to shift spots once more but Brooklynn had tripped over on a large scrap of metal, drawing immediate attention to them as panic began to rise seeing the Baryonyx darting over.
The girls ran towards Camille as she stood from behind the table, the Baryonyx's jaw was open wider than she's ever seen before, she could see the slime-covered back of the dinosaur's gaping throat.
Camille's legs moved on their own as she lunged forwards taking a massive swing at the Baryonyx, smacking it right in the snout with a loud whip sound.
It slipped on the scrap metals beneath it, stumbling to the floor with a heavy thud causing the whole room to shake.
"Camille!" Yasmina yelled out while banging on the glass as so did Brooklynn and Sammy watching nervously ,
She raised the bat again giving it another smash to the head though it recovered quicker than she thought, sending Camille running and diving over the multiple desks and trays that had been knocked down by the girls.
She caught glimpse of the girls calling for her while trying to head down the hallway,
"Run Camille!!" Yasmina yelled out trying to get back to Camille though all three of the girls screamed loudly at the Baryonyx that burst into the opposite side of the hallway.
"Hey big guy!!" Camille loudly screamed as she watched the Baryonyx from the hallway slip it's long snout swiftly through the doorway causing Camille to slip to the floor at the sudden nose in her path.
Her instincts reacted quickly as she raised her non injured leg and kicked her heel into the creatures eye watching it thrash around in the doorway.
Camille felt the drool coat her back, the light buzzing intensely above her as she watched the shadow of the jaws looming behind her with the hot breath covering her body.
She froze.
She didn't know what to do.
Camille defensively swung her bat backwards, striking the Baronynx in the nostril, being lifted from the ground as her bat was lodged inside its nose.
"Gross gross gross!" Camille winced from the pain in her chest, dangling above its snout while its jaws opened and closed trying to grab her,
In a quick moment of adrenaline, she ripped the bat out of its nose, sending blood flying everywhere and even splattering over her face.
She dropped to the ground screaming out as the pain in her knee grew unbearable but she pushed her limits running quickly and slipping underneath the other Baryonyx that she hit in the eye, just missing its jaws before the two dinosaurs were jammed in the door, stacked on top of each other being stuck entirely.
She crashed into the other girls as they all tumbled out the doorway, they cautiously looked around before sprinting out the doorway and far past the lab entrance skidding around the corner of a tree.
The girls all collapsed to the floor as Camille flipped from her back to all fours to stop herself from rolling.
Her ears were loudly ringing as her eyes were wide, trying to regain the breath she lost was snapped from her thoughts at Brooklynn screaming out,
"Where are you hurt?! Are you okay?" Brooklynn pulled Camille back so she was sitting on her knees,
Brooklynn flipped out at the sight of the blood that had covered the left side of her eye along with her right cheek having a splash of blood and a dash over the bridge of her nose covering her scar
"It's not mine... it's the Baryonyx's--" She lifted the bat showing the blood covering the knob, running down her hand as Brooklynn let out a shaky breath slowly letting go of the girl's arms, she turned back towards the duo.
"Okay well...at least you're okay, maybe we should check--" Another roar echoed out seeming close as everybody looked around, alarmed.
"Or we should go..!" Brooklynn whispered as Sammy and Yasmina got to their feet,
"Let's not push our luck.." Sammy whispered as they all began running away from the lab and back towards the direction of Camp.
It didn't take long at all to get back as they were met with the river running again as they climbed up the ladder to be met by the two boys.
"Looks like someone solved the water sitch" Brooklynn called being the first one up the ladder
"You're welcome. All me" Kenji bragged as sat down next to Darius as the three girls began cheering.
"Yeah! All right!" Sammy helped Yasmina up as Camille was still trying to get up though Sammy turned around cheering again leaving Camille to hop up each step of the ladder due to her knee, she stumbled before regaining her balance, she leaned on the rail letting out a big sigh.
"H2O, baby!" Yasmina cheered as well as everybody else.
"And we found this!" Brooklynn had pulled out the keycard from the envelope,
"Was that something you were looking for?" Darius asked as he looked at Kenji, confused.
"Kinda-" Sammy and Brooklynn high five leaving the two boys stumped before Sammy jumped in.
"Ooh and we got chased by the Baryonyx that we let loose--" Darius looked up as he knew setting them free was a bad idea in the first place as Sammy saw the look on his face.
"But don't worry 'cause we made it out alive thanks to Cami! " Sammy cheered as the two other girls looked at Camille smiling.
"She totally beat them up and saved our lives" Sammy cheered as Darius and Kenji looked petrified at the sight of Camille being coated with blood splatters and whatnot.
"Y-You've...got a little..." Darius made a motion around his own face as Camille slowly nodded,
"yeah it's not mine..." She wiped her face with her hand clearing her throat though it smudged the blood more than anything,
"You know, if Esther Stone was here, she'd say..." Sammy went to quote the show but this time Kenji stood up,
"Life is hard, so any day that goes somewhat right deserves to be celebrated with a party" He earned surprised looks all around from his sudden monologue.
"What? It's a great show, okay?" He crossed his arms sitting back down,
"The relationship between Esther and her dad is really compelling" Sammy blinked a few times before smiling "Uh, well, in the spirit of Esther Stone, let's..."

Everybody clinked their cups together as Kenji yelled out,
"Party!"
Everybody sat back in their seats as the bright night sky shined over the top of them.
Before they all sat together up in the treehouse, Brooklynn had visited Camille down by the lake previously as the night sky grew darker and Camille hadn't moved from where she sat.
"What you did was pretty heroic," Brooklynn said approaching behind the girl as Camille's head vaguely turned giving Brooklynn a side-eye before her gaze went back to the river, "...and pretty dangerous"
Camille lightly scoffed as Brooklyn sat beside but an inch behind the girl as she waited for a moment, "Why'd you do it? you could have been--"
"Killed" Camille briskly answered as Brooklynn frowned at the girl,
"Yeah I know, i was just...protecting myself...and- and you guys" Brooklynn furrowed her brows confused at what she was saying as Camille took notice through her peripheral vision.
"Somebody whose sane wouldn't throw themselves recklessly between two killer dinosaurs..." Brooklynn quietly said as a frown crossed her lips,
"..."
Camille tiredly blinked at what she was saying, feeling the words running of the tip of her tongue she didn't know how to respond.
"I...I was protecting...everybody..." Brooklynn moved her hand, resting it on Camille's back gently.
"I think I've come to the conclusion...that being hurt...isn't something I care about but seeing my friends hurt..is more important" Brooklynn inched closer shaking her head,
"What do you mean Camille?" Camille turned her head further away laughing tenderly.
"Brooklynn being wholeheartedly honest with you, I got abused at home...I-I still do but.,," She said shaking her head,
"To say that I I deserve to still be alive...to still have all my limbs and be...sitting here right now feels like a lie..."
Brooklynn fell silent as Camille slowly nodded, chewing anxiously on the inside of her lips.
"Camille, my time here has been rough but to hear even the slightest of torment you've been put through proves nothing but your strength.."
"I've been accused over and over but you were the only person who stuck by me and right now I need you, everybody needs you which is why you deserve to be sitting right here, right now..." Brooklynn softly assured the girl,
Camille lifted her knees, crossing her ankles over one another while resting her arms over the tops of her knees.
"The universe is winning, and I'm losing..." Camille grumbled painfully, looking down at the flowing water.
Camille went silent, letting out a breath she didn't know she was holding.
Yasmina was watching the two carefully from up on the treehouse, she felt pity for Camille as she knew the girl was always hiding something.
She could feel it.
She could see it.
"Well clearly the universe is not winning because after being thrown at every oncoming probelm we've faced you have come out still breathing" Brooklynn shuffled, facing the river as she fully sat next to the girl.
"Sometimes barely breathing but, that's not the point-" Camille faintly smiled as Brooklynn laughed at her own words,
"And, I know you see the need to throw yourself into every situation to keep all of us safe but sometimes the best option isn't to fight..."
At this time, both girls fell silent. Camille moved to look back over to the river as she had rebuilt the wall she had previously that Brooklynn tried hard to bypass and help but it only did, for a short while.
Brooklynn looked up to the sky watching the orange and yellow colors beginning to fade,
"Hey, it's getting late and I know you could use the space, but why don't you at least sit closer to the treehouse where it's safer...even sit up in bed.."
Camille placed her head in her hands before looking over to Brooklynns soft expression, "Plus Kenji said we're partying..."
"I never miss a party," Camille said quietly, Brooklynn smiled, slowly standing up as she helped Camille to her feet the girls smiled at each other before they climbed up the ladder and Brooklynn helped the girl up the last step as were met by Yasmina,
"Party time is it?" Camille immediately changed her stature as she pocketed her hands looking down towards Yasmina where she stood.
Yasmina let out a short huff, "You alright?..."
Camille shrugged with a small smile, "why wouldn't I be..?" She calmly asked as Yasmina tilted her head with brows gently raised,
Camille glanced around before she moved her arm behind Yasminas waist, spinning her so their positions were switched as Camille began walking backwards.
"Tougher than I look..." Camille mouthed quietly to her before turning around and walking with Brooklynn as the two girls giggle away.
Yasmina contained herself for the moment but she couldn't help but crack a smile, a warm colour filling her cheeks as she let out an amused sigh.
"Hey, Camille!" Darius called out practically bouncing within his seat,
"Hey D-!" She called as Brooklynn smiled at Camille head locking the boy and ruffling his hair.
"The Baryonyx, were they bigger up close? Have they grown at all?" Darius slipped out from under her grip as the two sat down,"
"How many teeth did each of them have and could you what eye markings each of them had?!" Darius stomped his feet out the ground while his arms were high above his head.
"Slow down...I'll give you the details after, besides that let's get this party started shall we?..."
"And ch-ch-ch-check it out!" Kenji slammed down a tape player as he smashed the play button, everybody stared in confusion at what he was doing.
"Oh, yeah! Feel the beat that I made. Are you ready, ready, ready? Dave Special! Music, music, music Music, music, music..." Everybody looked in both shock and pure confusion as to what they were hearing.
"Nope. I'm out..." Yasmina placed her cup down as she stood, Camille's gaze flicked over watching as she couldn't keep her eyes off the girl as she swiped a hand in front of her eyes to physically stop herself as she slouched into the seat.
'What is wrong with me, get a grip of yourself....'
Camille pinched herself on the arm snapping herself from her own daze as Sammy spoke up,
"Kenji, what is this?" Sammy looked over as Camille stood up with a long stretch,
"and that's enough for me!" She smiled walking off with a limp from her knee, she made her way over poking Yasmina in the middle of her back before launching up onto the bunkbed.
Yasmina slowly turned around, smiling at Camille who was laying with her back to the girl on the bed.
Yasmina leaned over and lightly tugged at Camille's hood before she spun back around. She heard Camille quietly laughing, trying to hold her own laugh in while she gripped the small book and pencil she was holding.
Camille moved onto her back, pulling her hood over her head and across her eyes letting out a tender yawn.
Yasmina hesitated for a moment before speaking up, "I'm glad to know that you're safe, Moreau..." Yasmina grinned as she heard the bed creak.
Camille sat up raising her brows, "Aw, you think about me Fadoula? how sweet, I'll keep you in my mind too...I guess.." Camille lowered her tone at the end before painfully laying back down again.
"Don't get used to it, won't last long at all..." Yasmina added, lightly shivering at the cold breeze before continuing to draw what Darius had requested in his book.
"is that...the second time I've saved you now?" Camille gasped dramatically as Yasmina slowly turned to face the girl glaring at her,
"Sorry sorry, I'll let you get back to the drawing" Camille laughed to herself as Yasmina turned back over before another body was sat next to her.
Camille had her hood draped over her eyes lazily glancing over the girls shoulder.
Yasmina sighed eyeing the girl before answering her question from before, "I believe so.."
Camille placed her hands on her hips, puffing her chest, "Call me your hero!" Yasmina grinned as she looked at the girl.
"Never in a million years.." Yasmina laughed before looking down at the book, Camille blinked a few times processing what she said as she dropped her arms,
"Aw man...I've always wanted to be somebody's hero.." Camille frowned as Yasmina quietly sighed, glancing at the pouting girl.
"Camille," Yamsina slowly said as she watched the girls eyes softly widen in awe at the girl,
"You are my hero.." Yasmina gently said with a smile across her lips before Camille flung her arms around the girl,
"Of course I'm your hero!!" Yasmina laughed as Camille let go, Yasmina kept on drawing in the small book when Darius made his way over sitting on the other side of Yasmina.
"That's great! Can you make the Parasaurolophus' crest a little bigger?" He pointed down at the page as she began fixing it,
"Mm-hmm. How's this?" She asked showing him the picture "Perfect!" He smiled as Brooklynn came giggling over.
"Darius! Yaz! Come on! Camille, I know you want to!" Brooklynn pulled Darius to his feet as she looked at Yasmina and Camille,
"I'm gonna finish this first.." Yasmina smiled before Camille stood,
"See you on the dance floor!" Camille saluted with two fingers as Brooklynn pulled Camille's arm over her should, walking the girl to the others as they were all dancing to Daves's mixtape.
"Uh-huh. Dave is actually pretty good" Darius said as he kept dancing,
"Um, mm-hmm" He hummed as Sammy stopped, gasping as she looked out into the yonder.
"Oh-hh! Look at that!" Sammy and the others walked over to the edge as they all looked out and up into the sky, Yasmina had hopped off the crates where she sat joining them also as everybody gasped looking at the beautiful night sky as the stars were flying across the mixed blue and black colors.
Brooklynn wrapped her arms around Darius and Sammy with Kenji placing his arm around Brooklynn, Camille glanced over at the others.
She stood next to Sammy with Yasmina on her other side as she hesitated for a moment before moving an arm over Yasmina as they all stared up at the bright stars when everybody's eyes were cast down onto the trees seeing smoke and the area lit up by an orange color.
"What is that?" Yasmina asked as everybody looked at it confused,
"a fire...?" Brooklynn says as she looks closer when Sammy gasps.
"A campfire--!" Sammy said happily thinking they would be saved.
"Guys...we're not alone," Darius said as everybody looked around with a similar look in their eyes. Maybe somebody got the beacon? were they going to be saved?
"That can't be..."
