I touch my bare toes,
On to the hard solid ground.
My body maneuvers itself across the room.
This feeling of desire embraces my soul,
And the feeling of darkness is no longer in control.
I motion around the room,
Feeling like I'm one with the air.
The feeling of happiness bloomed,
While my eyes on the mirror continue to stare.
There is music playing in my head,
Slowly increasing in volume,
Helping to demolish all the threats,
That no longer valued.
I spin and feel my hair swing on my sides,
And I collapse on the floor closing my eyes.
It felt like I was there for eternity,
But I was there for a short amount of time,
Before I realised that my breaths were deeper,
And my heart was beating faster in my chest.
I open my eyes and identify a dancer in the mirror,
A girl tired of the world using guns,
A girl that won't allow herself to disappear,
And a girl ecstatic to pull of what she loves,
Even if she she sheds tears,
In trying to fight over her fears,
And be on stage for the rest of her years.
