"Ishu wake up"
Screamed my little brother ishaan okay he is not little ,precisely we were twins we don't look alike though.
"Wake up devil you need to get that ass down in 15 minutes otherwise I am gonna leave you behind"
With that said he left my room.
After so much contemplation I got off my soft queen sized bed Cause my car was sent to shed for repair, usually mom and dad goes to their office in a car together which is exactly opposite in direction to my office so I was left with no other option rather than to go with my good for nothing brother. I huffed.
Ishaan and I pursued our degree from same college in London so we were like inseparable since childhood. He knows me like no one else do and vice-versa.
He got a job in Chauhan tech. Com and I got one in Kapoor House which are located in same area, the Subash Nagar.
That area speaks of business like all hospitals,companies expensive restaurants,shooting studios and the list goes on in the area.
Most of the time we go in our separate cars because of different timings, apparently luck is not on my side these days so I need to tag along with this moron of my sibling.
After taking shower and food haphazardly due this moron in 15

"You are 30 seconds late" My not so punctual brother said.
"Oh I am sorry baby brother"
I pulled an innocent face
"don't call me that" He grunted
"what" I asked to annoy him some more that's what siblings are for duh 'winks'
"you know what" I Snickered hearing him growling, unable to control anymore I chuckled.
"Okay enough, how is it going with rohan? " He asked with a Devilish grin.
Sorry I forgot to say about my new crazy admirer rohan, he joined in our company eight months back as an intern and now he is working with us I mean in a senior group he is quite talented!
"I said there is nothing going on between us" I replied in irritated tone cause my brother daily asks this question, I don't know what got him so interested in rohan.
"Seriously ishu he is handsome, rich, well mannered, and is crazy about you what else you want in a man?"
I have no answer for that cause there's nothing wrong in accepting rohan but I did not felt that spark around him yet.
With a sigh i turned towards window, the busy city seems more interesting than rohan topic.
"I am sorry" Ishaan said out of blue
I turned to him with a confused face
"I didn't mean to upset you ishu I am just trying to put you in safe hands, you know how men are these days right"
I smiled at my brother's confession
"I forgave you dummy now don't pout" I said bringing a big chuckle out of him.
I love my brother more than my parents he too loves me more than anything but we never accept that truth.
He is telling me this cause once I got into a relationship with an asshole named Jake Smith,I thought I loved him but it's just an attraction you know he is this college famous boy with looks of Brad Pitt and bad boy attitude ,at that time that's all I wanted in a man.
After we both had sex he started being distant and after a month I caught him cheating on me with a blonde and I ended things with him only after giving him a good amount of punches all over his beautiful face and asked my brother to do the same so he along with his friends who are mostly indians showed off their heroic skills on Jake. You deserve that asshole.
that scandal completed with in 3months though. After that I never showed interst in relationships but had few night stands ,under line the word 'few'.
We both returned India 2 years back and got jobs,now we are happy for what we have got in our lives
I stopped myself from loving someone after Jake not that I don't believe in love or some bullshit I am waiting for the one, the one who will love me with all of his heart and never cheats on me. And importantly treats me the way I deserve.
"We are here ishu" Ishaan interrupted my never ending thoughts.
After kissing his cheek and getting a kiss on my head back I got down the car to enter the Office building I have been working for. Finally!
As soon as i entered my cubicle like always rohan came inside my cubicle unlike all the other days today he brought something along with him.
"Hi ishu" He greeted with that adorable smile and pink blush on cheeks yup I like him only like a friend and colleague nothing more.
"Hi my little colleague" I teased back as he is only 24 a year younger than I am.
"Don't call me little ishu I will be hurt" He said forwarding a card into my hand..........Again we started our every morning silly argument or more like me teasing him.
"Okay enough of jokes I came to invite you to my parents wedding anniversary party tonight,don't say you can't make it cause I already talked to Ishaan he said he will come along with you to the party so no excuses"
That son of my mother.
"Actually rohan.. " Before I could complete the sentence he interrupted "come on ishuu you skipped my birthday party last month and my promotion party the other day please come this time"
He is giving me those puppy eyes like always but this time I fell for them. "Rohan you know I am not into you romantically"
I tried to make him understand
I don't wanna give hope
"I know ishuu I am not dumb not to understand but I want you in my life at least as a friend is it that hard for you? to be a friend"
He whispered the last words with wet eyes omg what did i do.
Without speaking any words I hugged him
"I will be your best friend rohan no doubt in that okay?"
To that he nodded like a kid.
"At What time is the party? " I asked while separating myself from him.
"7.00"he replied.
After some chi chat we dumped ourselves in work. Rohan and I work in a same group, there are 5 of us in our group me, Rohan, nithya, priya, and Aaron.
Aaron is the team leader he is 32 year old bachelor,he is every girl's dream in our office except me of course, he is a workaholic good for him right? and so damn professional during working hours.
Nitya and priya are of same age as mine,they both look like bollywood actresses. Even though Aaron is workaholic he is a very good friend of us,we five became so close in these past two years. Close as in like a family.
We are currently working on a government project yup government asked us to design the whole City's public transport routes and all in a most sophisticated way as it is the capital of the country.
I didn't mention it before did I? That my company holds number fourth position in the country. Great right?
We all started packing our things at 4.00pm, then only we can make it to the party in time if not at least on time.
"Don't forget the party" Rohan reminded me when I am buckling my seat beld in my brother's car
"I will not let her Rohan" Ishaan answered on behalf of me.
It's 4.30 by the time we reached our penthouse parking lot.
Yeah the Penthouse is a gift to our parents by their boss on their wedding anniversary six years back it's not that we can't afford the house, it's just that we never thought on buying a big house. As ishaan and I were in London, mom and dad won't be home unless it's for resting so what's the point in buying a big house.
My parents has been working for that company for the last 30 years
the boss and his wife treat us like a family.
"Hi mom hi dad" I wished them on my way to my room
"Come on give this Old people a kiss my babies" My mom said
she is a baby around us not that we are complaining. My brother is a total mumma's boy while I am dad's little princess.
"How's your day ishuu" Mom asked while feeding me her home made delicious Cookies
"good good" I replied nonchalantly devouring those tasty homemade Chocochip Cookies .
"Ishuu stop eating sugars you look like a pig and we are getting late" Ishaan always says that cause he is jealous of my genes which I got from my dad I won't get fat even after eating a whole ice cream factory on the other hand he has to work out a lot to eat a single scoop of ice cream blame my mom's genes
She is chubby unlike my dad but she is the cutest among us.
"Where are you two going? " My dad questioned while sipping on his black coffee, he is busy typing something on his tablet.
" To Rohan's parents anniversary dad" I replied
"oh that cute one huh? " This time it's my mom. Not again
yeah Rohan got acquainted with my family in pretty less time, don't ask me how.
"Okay have fun and don't get wasted" My mom shouted when we are entering our respective rooms to get ready for the party.
