"HEY! WE SHOULD probably go." mike said.
eleven sighed and hugged hopper. she limped over to max and jordyn as she wrapped her arms around them.
"jordyn!" hopper said. jordyn turned to face hopper. "be careful." hopper said. "you too." jordyn said turning back.
jonathan, nancy, mike, and will walks out the front doors, just behind them are jordyn and max.
"el, you're bleeding." max said. "you ok?" jordyn asked. "yeah." el said. max opens the back door of the wagon, jordyn helps el inside.
"here lay down." jordyn said. el lays down as jordyn shut the door. jordyn and max make their way in the back, behind jonathan and nancy.
"what's wrong?" Jonathan asked. "i don't know, you can't be serious, come on!" nancy said.
the car wouldn't start. "didn't your mom just buy this car?" lucas asked. "yes, i'm sure it's fine." nancy said.
"did you leave the lights on?" Will asked. "no!" nancy said. "do we have gas?" lucas asked
"yes! come on!" nancy screamed.
"whoa, whoa, whoa! just stop, stop!" jonathan calmed jordyn down. "just pop the hood," jonathan said. nancy pops the hood, Jonathan looks to see if he can spot a problem. nancy gets out to join him.
"welp." jordyn said tapping her fingers on her thighs. "it's hot in here." lucas said.
"open the doo." jordyn said opening the door. lucas opened the door and his glance stopped at Billy's Camaro.
"what's wrong?" jordyn asked. "b- billy, he's here." lucas said. "get out of the car! back in the mall! back in the mall!" nancy yelled.
Jordyn rushed to the back where el was. eleven got out the car. "get on my back, do sum, jus hurry yo ass up or i'm leavin you here!" jordyn yelled.
eleven hopped on jordyn's back and jordyn rushed in the mall.
jordyn walks back and forth, nervously. "scoops troop, do you copy? scoops troop, do you copy?" mike repeated.
"scoops troop i repeat, do you copy? we're trapped in the mall and in need of emergency transportation." mike said.
"scoops troop, do you copy? billy has found us, he had disabled our car and we are trapped in the mall." mike said.
"jordyn!" mike said. "what damn it!" jordyn yelled. "calm down, we'll be fine." mike said.
"no we aren't mike, you might think that. but- but you, weren't fucking- i don't know- that dude billy is strong ok" jordyn said.
"i'm sorry?" mike asked. jordyn rolled her eyes and went over to Nancy. "got any extra guns?" jordyn asked.
nancy threw a 9mm pistol to jordyn. "preciate it." jordyn said. "please tell me you're gonna shoot Mike with that." max said.
jordyn chuckled but shook her head no. jordyn went to sit on the bench next to the water fountain.
she started to ready her gun. mike sat next to her, she side-eyed him. he hesitated but kissed her on her head.
she softly chuckled. "see, you can't stay mad at me forever." mike smiled. "mike." she said.
"yes?" he asked. "i uhm- never mind." she said. "no go ahead i'm listening." he said. "remember that time when you and max were arguing?" she asked.
"which one?" he asked. "mike, i love you too." she said. "huh?" he asked playing dumb. she laughed, "i love you too." she said.
mike smiled kissing her. max looked at the two and rolled her eyes.
the chrysler is a wreck, still flipped over on its roof. lucas, jordyn, mike, nancy, and Jonathan are all trying by hand to get it back on its tires.
the vehicle hardly budges. "shit." lucas said. "let me try." el said.
"sit ya ass down." jordyn said.
el takes an unsteady step forward. "i can do it." el said. everyone is standing behind el, she lifts her hand and focuses on the Chrysler.
she struggled to telekinetically flip the car on its tires. she sighed and put her hands down. everyone shared a confused look.
"what happened?" mike asked.
"my powers aren't working." el said.
"whaaaaaaat?" jordyn asked.
"looks like i'm gonna have to sit my ass down." el said.
the kids are once again trying to flip the Chrysler onto its wheels. but this time, they're using steel stanchions.
"ok, now all the way! ready... three, two, one... push!" jonathan said.
everyone- except el uses their strength to push the car back on its wheels.
"told you, physics." mike said out of breath.
"ooh boy you look so fine outta breath." jordyn said earning groans from everyone. mike smirked at her.
"I just puked in my mouth." lucas said covering his mouth. jordyn playfully rolled her eyes.
jonathan and Nancy head to the front of the car and tried to open the hood. "how do we get it open?" nancy asked.
"uh, there should be a latch, check under the wheel." jonathan said. nancy goes over to the driver's side to look.
"see it?" jonathan asked. "i don't know, hold on." nancy said. jordyn sees el across the food court picking through a garbage can.
"what's she doing?" jordyn asked max. el pulls out an empty can of coke. "probably gonna see if she can crush it." max
said. "probably so." jordyn said.
jordyn went to walk over to her. el didn't look at her, she was concentrating.
she sighed and looked away. "i think i don't have my powers." el said looking at jordyn.
"aww shit." jordyn said.
jordyn and mike are sitting on the floor cuddling up against each other.
"why're your nails so long?" he asked grabbing her hand.
"because i got my nails done couple weeks ago. i broke this one tho." jordyn said.
"how?" he asked playing with her nails. "hitting billy with the metal rod and my nail hit it, and then it broke." she said.
"did it hurt?" mike asked. "a lil bit." jordyn said. mike smiled at her then kissed her.
"they're so cute together." nancy smiled at the two.
just then Will senses something. goosebumps form on his neck, he glances over his shoulder.
pounding footsteps approach. jordyn looks up to the glass atrium, she can see a large shadow.
"mike." she said grabbing his hand. mike looks up, the glass starts cracking, the lights start to flicker.
mike looks over to Nancy who's right under the glass. "Nancy!" he screams.
the glass is bending, shifting, and cracking. jordyn grabs el by the hand, and they all run.
the glass shatters.
the mind flayer lets out a frightening scream.
