Being raised an orphan isn't a great way to start life. (Y/N) was always running around the streets, looking for food and shelter after having run away from the orphanage at the age of 7.
With her quirk, she could threaten people who didn't want to help her and defend herself who those who wanted to hurt her.
After nearly dying in a villain attack, where no heroes were insight to save her, (Y/N) was taken in by All For One.
She looked up to him after seeing how powerful he was. She saw him as the father she never had. She was much like Shigaraki, in the sense that she hated heroes for never helping her. For abandoning her when she needed them most.
"(Y/N)! Come over here, child," All For One called from behind a monitor.
"Yes, Father?" (Y/N) said as she approached the screen.
"It's time to put you to good use. You've been through enough training. I believe you're ready to take on your first mission."
"Are you sure? I mean, I'd love to take a part in destroying hero society, but do you truly believe I'm ready?" (Y/N) asked.
"Don't doubt yourself, young one. You've come a long way. I trust you'll complete your mission."
"Thank you, Father."
"You'll be infiltrating U.A. as a student. Take the entrance exam just like everyone else. I'm sure you'll do just fine and make it into the hero course. We need to gather as much information as possible. Do you understand?"
"Yes, Father."
"Good. Now off you go. The entrance exam is in a week, both written and practical."
Nodding, (Y/N) left, excited she was finally participating in All For One's plan.
Once making it into Class 1-A, (Y/N) acted a bit shy, hesitant to make 'friends' since she didn't want to blow her cover, but that plan was quickly pushed aside when the rest of the students wouldn't stop bothering her. They wouldn't stop trying to become friends with her.
Eventually, she gave in to the urge to get to know them. (Y/N) wanted to know their reasoning as to why they thought hero society was a good thing. It just seemed like they had all been brainwashed into believing that heroes could do no wrong.
But after spending time with them, she noticed how much passion they had and how hard they were working to make it to their goal. It made her think.
Were the heroes that bad?
They seemed so full of themselves whenever (Y/N) was out on her own, not caring to help her when she was in need. Now, they seemed to really care, especially the students who treated her as an equal.
She had always felt inferior to All For One, and the one she considered her brother, Shigaraki Tomura. She felt like she'd never live up to them and their expectations, but here, with the heroes, she felt like she could do anything.
(Y/N) had never felt so much love from anyone. The people she considered her family wouldn't ever show her any affection or touch her all that much. Shigaraki was always annoyed at her and never touched her due to his quirk, only ever threatening her to leave her alone, while All For One was never really around to give her attention.
Soon enough, she dreaded going back to the bar she grew up in. UA felt like home, and the bar always felt so hostile.
UA was her safe haven from all the criminal activity and death threats she would get on the daily. She felt safe in UA, in the arms of her friends, and the guy she had fallen in love with, Bakugo Katsuki.
At first, she hated Bakugo for reminding her of how her family would treat her, but after becoming close friends with the Bakusquad, she found that Bakugo was someone else underneath the surface.
Bakugo cared about his friends even if he constantly screamed at them for the idiotic things they did. He made sure to cheer up (Y/N) whenever she was tormenting herself for what she would have to do to her classmates even if he didn't know why she was upset.
Over time they grew closer, and Bakugo gave her an ultimatum when he confessed his feelings.
"Go out with me or never talk to me again," Bakugo huffed, hoping she wouldn't choose the latter.
(Y/N) was torn. She knew that if she accepted it would only hurt more when she had to betray them and that it would be easier to leave them behind, but she couldn't bear to have him ignore her.
Smiling even though she was hurt knowing what she'd have to do in the future, she accepted.
Eventually, word got back to AFO. The man called her in and questioned her quite a bit. In the end, (Y/N) was praised for playing with her friends' emotions, saying it would hurt more when she finally left them.
"And remember what will happen if you decide to put your back on the ones that saved you," AFO said, insinuating her death.
Nodding, she left to go to her room and cried in silence.
Time went by and (Y/N) was told of the plans that would take place at their upcoming camp. She had a chip installed in her head so she could be tracked and the villains could make it to the correct location.
On the night of the attack, (Y/N) was noticeably antsy.
"You alright, (Y/N)?" Bakugo asked her.
Jumping slightly, she turned to her boyfriend, and said, "Oh, it's nothing. Just kind of nervous about the test of courage. I'm a bit of a coward so I'm pretty sure you'll hear me scream. It'll be embarrassing."
Bakugo nodded in response.
While Bakugo wasn't quite convinced she was telling the truth, he didn't want to push the subject. (Y/N) had been a bit distant lately, and Bakugo thought she wanted to break up.
In reality, (Y/N) distanced herself so it would hurt less for both of them. She wanted to cushion the blow as much as possible, even if it was only by a little bit.
It didn't go unnoticed by the rest of her classmates either. (Y/N) had been pushing them all away. She wouldn't talk to them unless it was for an assignment or something important. She would avoid looking at them and tried her best to stay as far away from them as possible.
As the test of courage went on, (Y/N) could smell smoke, and a large fire was seen beginning to spread in the forest.
"It's begun," (Y/N) muttered to herself, hoping she wouldn't have to return with those who had planned the attack, but as she turned to look for her boyfriend, she knew she had to go into the forest and at least try to protect him.
(Y/N) knew she would be punished if they found out she was trying to help the heroes, but her heart couldn't help but want to protect those she actually cared about.
Running into the forest, she ran and looked for her classmates, finding a few already grouped up, and ready to protect Bakugo.
"What're you doing here, you idiot?! I thought you were with everyone else," Bakugo asked.
"I was, but I left to look for all of you," (Y/N) said as she caught her breath.
"You should've stayed with the teachers. You would've been safer there!" Bakugo yelled at her.
"Well, it's too late to go back now. If I go back, I could run into a villain. You wouldn't want that, would you?"
Scoffing, Bakugo silently agreed before being surrounded by his classmates, since as far as they knew, he had been the subject of this attack.
(Y/N)'s heart palpitated harshly against her chest as she noticed someone up in the trees. Just as she was about to warn the others, she was placed into a marble, where she couldn't do a thing.
Once released, she was being held by the neck by Dabi but was let go as he realized it was her.
"Well, (Y/N), you got to complete your mission. It's time to go home with our prize," Dabi smirked, knowing full well that (Y/N) didn't want to go with them.
"(Y/N)? What is he talking about?" Midoriya asked as they all stood at a standstill.
"Oh, you haven't figured it out? She's on our side. Right, (Y/N)?" Toga smiled teasingly.
"No, that's not true," Midoriya turned to his friend. "Tell us it isn't true, (Y/N)!"
(Y/N)'s world was crumbling before her, and all she could do was watch.
"You going to answer them?" Dabi asked her.
The man was a dangerous one and considering that held Bakugo by the throat, she put on a facade and laughed at her classmates.
"If you really thought that I was trying to be a hero, then that's your own fault. Although, I did put on quite the act, didn't I?" (Y/N) said, taunting them.
(Y/N) screamed at herself for doing so. She had hoped that she could've tried to help them escape from the grasp of the villains, but the fear of what AFO could do to her was much stronger than she anticipated.
"Well, I guess it's time to go," Mr. Compress said as he walked into the portal that would take them to their hideout.
Each of the villains walked into the portal as Dabi teased them by tightening his grip on Bakugo. (Y/N) gave them a pained smile as she and Dabi walked into the portal with Bakugo with them.
As she was entering the portal, she turned around and let a tear shed as she looked at them, mouthing an apology before disappearing into the night.
Back at their hideout, (Y/N) was shaking as she sat in her chair, Bakugo staring daggers at her. She wanted to simply disappear into thin air but knew it was impossible.
As she tried to keep her composure, Shigaraki went on and on about how hero society was nothing but a garbage idea that he wanted to destroy, and how he wanted Bakugo to join them.
Bakugo simply ignored their efforts to persuade him and just stared in (Y/N)'s direction while she tried her best to not look at him. If she even took a glance at him, (Y/N) knew she wouldn't be able to control herself.
A few moments after Bakugo had been released from his restraints, All Might came crashing in, hoping to rescue the two students from the grasps of the villain.
"Young (L/N)!" All Might called out to her.
(Y/N), knowing that her classmates must've told the heroes what she had done, waited for him to reprimand her. For him to shout at at her for betraying them. She expected at minimum a strong glare sent in her direction.
Instead, (Y/N) received something she hadn't at all expected.
A hand was extended toward her.
"I know you've lived a rough life. Are you ready to be the hero you wished had saved you? If so, come with us," All Might said.
(Y/N) contemplated what to do, but she knew what she longed for. Reaching out for his hand, she was interrupted.
"(Y/N), don't you dare take his hand! Or else you'll be facing our master!" Shigaraki shouted at her from the midst of all the chaos.
Recoiling, she looked at Bakugo only to see him disappear into a pile of goop.
"What? No!" All Might shouted before the rest of the villains left in the same manner, including (Y/N).
As she coughed up the goo and was finally able to breathe, she looked up to find herself in an entirely new place.
All Might had begun to fight against the man she once saw as her Father, and was immediately torn. She owed the man her life, but All Might had given her the opportunity for a second chance at life.
As the fighting became more intense, (Y/N) knew she had to help Bakugo escape, even if it meant she had to stay behind.
"How are we going to get you out of here?" (Y/N) asked the boy as they fought against those who tried to capture them.
"I don't care how I get out of here as long as you're coming with me," Bakugo said to her.
"Just go! Do something or else you could be killed!" (Y/N) said as she dodged the villains attempts to grab her.
"So could you! I'm not leaving without you!"
Hearing the sound of a loud crash, and seeing a large spike of ice appear, they noticed a few students flying through the sky, shouting toward them.
"Go!"
Bakugo shook his head, and (Y/N) did the only thing she could think of.
Using her quirk, she pushed the villains away from them, grabbed Bakugo by the collar of his shirt, and gave him a quick kiss.
"I love you," she whispered as tears ran down her face.
"What're you doing? Don't do anything stupid!"
(Y/N) smiled painfully before she used the rest of her energy to throw him toward his friends using her quirk.
Seeing him being grabbed safely, she sighed in relief.
"Goodbye, Bakugo Katsuki."
Her relief was brief, being cut short by being grabbed by the villains and dragged through the portal leading to somewhere far away, where nobody would find her.

Hey!
Finally, some angst!!
I've been feeling a little better and a bit inspired. I had a dream and it somehow became this. A lot of my one-shots are inspired by dreams honestly. It's a little weird, but if it works, then I don't mind.
Anyways, I hope y'all like this one shot. I think it's better than most of my other ones since I feel like the others ones are missing something.
I'll be making a part two. I have ideas so we'll see how far this goes.
I'm also working on part two of Hurt and Experience More With You so look forward to those.
Also I want to apologize to those request I haven't done. In all honesty, if I don't feel inspire or inclined to write it then I won't. I'll do my best to get to them but it's hard to write something I don't feel like I could pull off.
I've been working on a Bakugo x Reader book and have already gotten to chapter 8. I'll be publishing it once I reach chapter 10. I hope y'all give it some love once it's out.
I think that's all! Thank you all for the continued support! Love y'all!
Until next time!
Bye!
