"Ran you should take a rest"
Kakucho said worried about his friend, dark circles are so visible in his eyes, and he looks so defunct, he keeps looking and talking at Emiko, hoping that she will wake up now, it's been 3 days yet she hasn't open her eyes
Ran is afraid that he might not see her smile again, he won't hear her sweet voice again, and he won't feel the warmth she is giving to him
"I won't take a rest, not until she's not awake"he sternly said making Kakucho sigh
"Then at least eat, you don't want her to see you in this state right"
Kakucho places the food beside him, and even though Ran doesn't have the appetite, he force himself to eat
Later on Sanzu and Rindou arrived
"Aniki, I think it would be the best if you take a rest"
Ran shakes his head, he doesn't want to knowing that his daughter is suffering, but then Sanzu punch Ran causing him to fall on the floor and they were all surprise
"What the fuck Haru are you high?!"
Rindou help Ran to stand up
"We all know that you care for Emiko, but have you thought that if she wakes up and sees you like this, she'll definitely gonna blame herself and that will just fucking make things worst so just listen to us, and take a freaking rest!"
Ran was utterly shocked by Sanzu's words, so are Rindou and Kakucho, but he was right, if Emiko wakes up and sees that her dads suffer because of her, that can't be help if she blame herself
"Okay I'll take a rest"
Ran weakly said and went to the other bed to lay down, as soon as he close his eyes he immediately drifted to sleep
"Looks like he fell asleep fast"
Kakucho said while looking at Ran
"Umm Haru I want to thank you for knocking some senses to Aniki"
Sanzu just sigh and sat next to Emiko
"I kinda understand Ran though, I would also stay up all day and night just to wait for her to wake up, but there's just so many things that we needed to settle especially on finding her real family"
Rindou sat next to Sanzu and pat his shoulder
They still haven't had any leads on who Emiko's real parents are, Mikey used all of his connections to gather the information they needed but up until now, nothing still comes luckily there's no other gang that is picking a fight with them right now, so they can focus on Emiko
A week later
All bonten members gather in their hideout except for Ran and Kokonoi who is looking out to Emiko
"Are you sure about this?"Rindou ask his henchman and he nodded
"Yes sir, even your daughter's eyes matches theirs but the mother seem to be dead 16 years ago"he gave the remaining data to Rindou
"16 years ago did she die when Haruchiyo found Emiko?"
Rindou said as he scan the paper even the blood type are the same as hers
"I think the reason why Emiko was there in the dark alley is because her mom is being chased by someone"
Takeomi said suspecting something on Emiko's mother death
"It's actually possible after all who would put a baby in that kind of alley"
The two of them went where the others are waiting
"Where have you guys been?"
Kakucho ask as he fix some papers while Sanzu and Mikey are just sitting in the sofa
"I got the information about Emiko's real family"
Sanzu immediately went to his side and read the papers, his face frown cause they don't have any pictures on it but the blood type is the same with Emiko
"Her mother died 16 years ago?"Rindou nodded Sanzu thinks for a while
"The same year I found Emiko" he utter
"Her grandfather is actually a governor in Ryukuha, and there's a rumors that his using his power to do illegal things" Takeomi added
"Then let's head to Ryukuha, and see the truth"
Mikey said as he stood up from his seat, and walked out in the room, the others remained silent especially Rindou and Sanzu, what if they would take Emiko away from them, yeah it's easy for them to kill someone but his a governor not to mention their are some gang under the governor's command
Meanwhile in Emiko's side
"She looks so peaceful when she is sleeping but, I'd rather have the loud and talkative Emiko"
Kokonoi said as he caress her pale skin, her body has seemed to lose weight and so is Ran, he never leaves Emiko's side, his always by her side hoping that she'll open her eyes
"Ran, I'll just buy some foods" Kokonoi left and the room was filled in silence only the beeping of the machine can be heard
"Baby p-please wake up now, Dada miss you so d-damn much"
Ran held her hand and tears are forming in his eyes
"C-come back to us n-now please"
His tears fall in the sheets, as days go by, Ran's anxiety increases he is so afraid that if he ever leaves her side, she won't be breathing anymore, and that's his greatest fear
Wiping his tears away, he held Emiko's hand tight, there are no days that his praying for her to wake up, when the door open he snap out in his thoughts
"Ohh good morning doc"
The doctor also greeted back she start examining Emiko and look on her process
"Mr Haitani, I won't keep this a secret to you, but if Emiko doesn't wake up in a month, I'm afraid she will just sleep for the rest of her life, she may be breathing, but she won't open her eyes anymore, have you found a donor for the blood?"
Ran shakes his head the doctor held his shoulders
"I'm not pressuring you, or something but you need to hurry, her condition is getting worse"
The doctor smiled and left
Ehen the door closed, Ran's tears once again burst out, his breath got heavier and his hands begin to tremble
"Ohh God, please don't take her away, baby please, wake up please" he sob beneath her bed while holding her hand
When Kokonoi came back he was shock to see Ran crying
"H-hey what happened?!"Ran breath deeply then wipe his tears
"The doctor said, if she won't wake up within a month, she isn't gonna recover anymore"
Kokonoi sits on the chair speechless, money is not a problem with them, but anyone in the Bonten is unable to donate blood to her because none of them match
Meanwhile with Mikey and the others
They travel in Ryukuha to see the governor who is Alfonzo Maosomi, who is Emiko's real grandfather
"She looks exactly like her mom"
Sanzu said looking at the pictures of Emiko's mom who is Kristina Maosomi
"And her fiance seems to be the father" he added as he also resembles Emiko's features
"But who the fuck is he?" Sanzu ask
"That's Hishima Aiko son of a powerful CEO in Ryukuha"
Takeomi said giving Sanzu the paper he is reading
After hours of traveling they arrived at the Maosomi's Mansion, since Mikey has a lot of communication he easily get an appointment with the governor, as they got out of the car they where greeted by the butler of the house
"Please this way"he lead them inside where the office of the governor is
"Nice to finally meet you Mr Manjiro" he extend his hand while smiling and Mikey shakes it with a stoic face
"The feeling is mutual Mr Alfonzo"
Alfonzo offers them a seat, as they are going to discuss the business proposal that Mikey is gonna offer, and of course, Alfonzo is please to hear him out knowing that Mikey is on the top chain of the criminals
Hours of talking they finally settled for their partnership now the Bonten can freely investigate more easy
The others start strolling around the mansion
"What do you think they will react to if they find out about Emiko"
Sanzu ask Rindou as the two of them freely walks around without any people around
"They won't react, because, they won't know anything about her"
Rindou replied shortly, they continue talking in silence, then they spotted a woman sitting in a garden
They approach her and when they got closer they're jaw fell
"H-Haru I'm seeing things r-right?" Sanzu went behind Rindou
"M-maybe"
The woman look at them puzzle
"May I help you"
They both took their gun out scaring the woman
"The hell the ghost just talks!!"
Sanzu blinks again and again making sure he isn't hallucinating, a very same person who is supposed to be dead is right in front of them
"K-Kristina?"
The woman sigh and mention them to put their gun away
"My name is Y/n Maosomi, the twin sister of Kristina, how did you know her?"
They slowly put their gun away, while intensely examining y/n, she looks like an adult version of Emiko, well she is the twin of Emiko's mother after all, Sanzu and Rindou looks at each other and one idea connected them
"Please help us!" Y/n was once again confused about them
'What is wrong with them'
Even though Y/n isn't sure, she went with Sanzu and Rindou, not sure what the reason is but she felt like she needed to, when they arrived at Tokyo they immediately went to the hospital
"W-wait isn't she supposed to be dead?"Ran said who is surprise
"She is her twin sister"
Ran nodded in understanding and a new hope raises in his eyes he held Y/n's hand making her flinch
"Please save my daughter!"
"U-Uhh why what happened to her?"
They took her to the doctor and she explains everything to Y/n
"Then why me?"
The three of them look at each other, wondering if she can be trusted
"It's confidential for now, but I'm begging you, please you're our only hope" Ran pleaded
But y/n didn't agree, she needed to know the truth, so Sanzu tells her what exactly happened 16 years ago on how he found Emiko and how her illness triggered
"I can't believe that my niece is alive I thought Kristina aborted her"
They all look stun to what she just said
"Abort why?"
"You see Kristina and Hishima are engaged because he got her pregnant, but Hishima doesn't want to have any child for the meantime, and I was in abroad that time they said they decided to abort the child"
Silence was filled in the room, Ran guided Y/n on where Emiko is, so that she will believe that it's really is her niece
"Oh my goodness"
She gasp dolefully, she examine Emiko and there's no doubt she is Kristina's daughter, Y/n agreed on donating her blood which makes the trio very happy
BUT
Little did they know something darker would happen that would surely twist their bond from each other, a problem that they might not able to solve
