|Diana's POV|
"My step dad" I replied, head hung low, not daring to look at his eyes.
"Look.At.Me" He emphasized every word in a soft tone as he pulled off to the side of the highway.
I looked up, only to lock eyes with him, but I saw something in them I never saw before... Fear.
"What's his name? You either tell me or I'll get it" He enunciated in a threatening tone.
"Kane Di Carlo" I replied hesitantly, he groaned in anger and clenched his jaw, poking his right cheek with his tongue.
"That fucking bastard, I already knew that he was a fucking snake and a whore and a fucking rapist since the moment I fucking met him!" He hit the steering wheel.
"You know him?" I was shocked.
"He wanted to work for me, but I knew his intentions since the second I saw him, he wanted to rob me and I would never let that happen" He sighed deeply.
"My parents are divorced and once they divorced, my mom immediately dated Kane for his money and told my father that she wants me to live with her because I need a mother's love more than a father's, so he agreed, but then when Kane started losing all his money, she left him and sent me back to my father saying that she can't afford my expenses, and ever since I never heard from her again. But the big problem was that she knew that Kane raped me, and she only threatened me not to tell anyone or else she'll hurt my father and brother, so until now you're the first person to know about me getting raped, other than her and Kane, I didn't even tell Saray" I explained thoroughly as he sighed angrily.
"I'll take care of him, don't worry... we aren't going to Manhattan anymore, we'll sleep at my mansion in the hills, I'll call mom and tell her to take Nate home with her if she hasn't already" He said, making me sigh in relief and nod my head.
I was honestly very scared to go with him to Manhattan, and especially since tomorrow is the first day of March and from what I've heard and what Enzo said, he'll probably leave me there.
I've actually heard theories that Emilio is a ghost in March, no one is able to catch him, he goes on killing sprees daily, kills the innocent and guilty, he doesn't see nothing, he's just a monster, and no one knows the reason.
My thoughts were interrupted when he called his mother and put the call on speaker.
Emilio: Take Nathaniel home with you, Diana and I aren't coming back home tonight, we'll be sleeping at the hill mansion.
Malika: Alright, but take care son and don't do anything tomorrow, at least not when you're with her.
Emilio: I'll try not to.
"Can you at least tell me why everyone is complaining about tomorrow being the beginning of march, and that I'm with you so you shouldn't do anything?" I asked him, confused.
"I'll tell you everything once we get to the mansion -- I have to make a call now" He replied, as he then called another person and put it on speaker once again.
I think he puts all his calls on speaker because he's in the car, and by the way he drives I'm 100% sure that if he doesn't put the calls on speakers then he would have a million accidents a day.
Emilio: Where are you?
??: I am at the penthouse, boss.
Emilio: I want Kane Di Carlo in my basement by tomorrow morning maximum.
??: He's in the Middle East, boss, how are we supposed to get him here by tomorrow morning?
Emilio: That's your job, not mine.
He then hung up the call and looked at me, only to see me looking at him while shaking my head continuously.
"You won't do anything to him, Emilio, promise me" I verbalized as he shook his head.
"I can't promise you that, he raped you, love, and no one gets away with hurting you" He replied softly, caressing my left cheek.
The duality!! This man literally has the strongest duality in the whole world! God, his mood swings!
"You're just like a pregnant woman, you change moods in a matter of milliseconds! I really envy you for that trait!" I exclaimed, looking at him up and down as if he's a delicious donut.
"The whole family has that trait, I guess we're lucky people... by the way, I know I'm hot, but if you keep staring at me like that, I'll fuck you right here, right now" he said, making my eyes go wide.
As soon as he said that, I shut up and looked outside the window, but fuck wasn't that hot!?!
The rest of the ride was silent, none of us spoke to the other, he had a few phone calls to make and received a few ones too, while I was playing on my phone, and I even called Saray.
When I called Saray, she was so angry because I didn't text her or reply to any of her messages, but i told her that it's a long story and I'll tell her about it once I get back, and I told her that I'm not going to the kindergarten tomorrow, she didn't question me any further which I was thankful for because I don't want to tell her about all the things that has happened since yesterday over the phone, it's better if I explain them face to face.
And the rest of the ride, I was asleep because I was bored and I can do nothing.

"Are you hungry?" I asked her as soon as we got into the mansion.
It has been a few hours since we had breakfast as the other mansion is quite far from this once, so she's probably starving right now.
"Yeah, is there anything here to cook with?" She asked, as I nodded my head.
"There's the whole dinner ready in the kitchen for us" I replied, as she looked at me while frowning in confusion.
"I told the maid to order some food, and prepare a few dishes" I added, explaining before she even asks.
She made an 'O' face, understanding.
I then led her to the kitchen and we had lunch while chatting about random stuff, but just as I was about to ask her about her nightmare, Enzo called me, making me roll my eyes and pick up the call forcefully.
Enzo: Why do you need Kane Di Carlo? What did he do?
Me: He did something to Diana.
Enzo: What is it? Is it important to have him in the basement by the morning?
Me: It isn't your business to know, and he will be in my basement by the morning, or tell the guys that there will be so many consequences if he wasn't.
Enzo: Alright, I will let them know.
"Are you always rude with everyone, or is it just Enzo?" Diana asked me as soon as I hung up the call.
"Are you always this curious and talkative, or is it just with me?" I asked her as an answer, making her pout cutely.
"You look like a 5 year old, but it's cute" I said, chuckling at her cute pout.
"Am I really talkative? I always feel like I'm talking too much, but I can't contain myself. Am I talking too much? Is it annoying you? Do you want me to stop? I can if you wan-" She kept on talking and talking, overthinking everything, making me cut her off by kissing her strawberry lips.
The kiss only lasted a few seconds because she broke it fast.
"You taste like fucking heaven, I wonder if you taste this sweet in other places" I commented, smirking while hugging her, making her blush so hard and hide her face in my chest.
"I was just messing with you, you talk so much but I like it. I like your little conversations and your cute voice, the way you ask about everything and anything; you say anything you want, not scared of any consequences" I added, kissing her forehead, making her look up at me and smile an ear to ear smile.
After that, we finished lunch and went up to my room, she didn't have any problem sharing the room with me as the other rooms aren't cleaned, and I actually wasn't minding sleeping with her in the same bed.
When we got to the room, I gave her a shirt and some shorts from my closet here, and told her to change if she's uncomfortable with the other set that I gave her last night.
She went into the bathroom and changed, and once she got out, we both laid in bed, staring at the ceiling in silence, but I decided to break it by explaining to her about what Enzo meant, and what she has to do with it.
"When Enzo talked about tomorrow being March 1st, he was talking about the death month in my opinion; during that month, I always disappear. I'm just like a ghost that can appear in front of you in any second and kill you for no reason, or at least that is what people think. But I do, there is a reason, and it is my sister, or late sister, she was killed 4 years ago in March, and it was all because of me, I was supposed to protect her and i didn't fucking do my job, so they fucking kidnapped her and starved her for months until she died, because of my fucking stupidity. Ever since she died, I have always blamed myself and I still do, because I was the reason for her death. So ever since then, every year on March, I go on killing sprees and I kill the innocent and the guilty, I become a monster, and especially on March 4th, the day she got killed, I disappear for god knows how long; it varied each year, when I disappear on that day, I go exactly at 12:00 A.M and no one knows anything about me, literally no one, I disappear and there would be no trace for me, and if I came back before March ends, then I continue going on killing sprees, and if it ended then I'll come back home normally" I explained as her eyes widened and she looked at me with tears in her eyes.
"You ar-aren't the r-reason for her d-death, you sh-should n-not blame y-yourself'' She stuttered, caressing my cheek softly.
"Shh, don't cry -- not because of me, love" I wiped away her tears lovingly with my thumbs.
"But what does all this have to do with me?" She asked, making me sigh.
Here comes the explanation that I am still not ready for, but I have to explain it because she deserves to know.
