Oh and this is random but while I was writing this oneshot, I kept thinking of Nakanaka from Komi can't communicate

"Sanada, you don't have any partner?" Some people from Sanada's class asks, it was gym class and he had something else to do so he didn't get choose a partner with the rest of the class
"That's enough!" Their teacher shouts, "Everybody back to your pair! Sanada Shunpei, you can go with (Last name) (First name) she was the only one who didn't have a partner last session." The coach says as Sanada looks around
"Oof good luck Sanada." A guy in his class clasps a hand on his shoulder
"Thanks, you too." Sanada smiles, not understanding what his friend said, he continues to look around and finally his eyes land on you
Sanada jogs towards you who was looking at your classmates with a blank face
"Yes?" You ask when Sanada stops in front of you
"We're partners." Sanada smiles, "Sanada Shunpei, nice to meet you." He introduces himself as you look at his outstretched hand
"(Last name) (First name)." You answer after a few seconds, hardly holding his hand and not returning his smile
"Well, let's go join the others then." He starts walking towards the rest, only to stop when he notice that you weren't following him, "Uh...(Last name)?" He asks
"I'm fine with keeping my distance with everyone." You announce, "This way I can see their weaknesses." You laugh evilly as Sanada blinks
"We aren't having a competition you know." He chuckles, already finding you amusing
"There's nothing wrong with getting intel about possible enemies." You cross your arms, nodding in a self-assured manner while Sanada bites his lip to stop himself from laughing
You were, how should he put it? You were unique but at the same time fun and amusing, maybe it was a good thing that he wasn't able to attend the last gym class
"Alright, let's keep our distance." He agrees
"Good you saw what I meant."
"But it's gonna be hard to hear our teacher, and those people might get higher grades than us."
You stare at him before crossing your arms, "I understand your point of view, fine let's get a bit close so we can hear the teacher better." You walk closer with your head held high while Sanada follows behind you
You and Sanada follows the coach's instruction, it was a bunch of partner exercises, there were times where you ran out of breath and fell over but thankfully Sanada was patient
"You're not very athletic, are you?" He asks lightheartedly while he continues doing sit-ups, he was already above fifty and he didn't even look out of breath
"I prefer having my followers do the physical job for me." You scratch your throat, attempting to hide your embarrassment
"Followers, huh?" He grunts, "Care to tell me more about them?"
"Nope!" You answer cooly, "It's confidential, you might find things about me." You say
"Aren't you tired?" You ask after a few minutes, eyes furrowing in worry
Sanada smiles, noticing your worried expression, "I do this almost everyday, this is nothing."
"Not like I'm worried." You add
"Of course you aren't." He answers, continuing his exercise
After a few more exercise, the coach finally called it quits and dismissed all of you
"It was nice working with you, (Last name)," Sanada says, patting your back
"Yeah, you were a good...companion," You say awkwardly, not used to his friendly gesture
"See you later at class," Sanada bids you goodbye as he walks to the boys locker room
You sigh in relief, so that was what it feels like to talk to a hot guy
"(Last name) we only have a few minutes before next period!" A classmate approach you
You held your head up high, "Thanks, I will head to the locker room at once." You walked past her, "Um, seriously thank you." You add when you saw her expression before running to the locker room

You continue doodling on your notebook, hardly paying attention in class. You didn't even notice when the teacher announced that you all picked a partner for some homework
"Hey," Sanada's familiar voice broke through your trance, making you look up
Sanada steals a glance at your notebook and stifles a laugh, you were drawing some kind of house, and was that a costume?
"Do you need anything?" You cross your arms looking up at him, trying to make it seem like you weren't embarrassed at how Sanada caught you in your day dream
"We're supposed to partner up for the English homework."
"Okay and?"
"I wanted to be partners with you." Sanada scratches the back of his head when you stare at him
"You want to be partners with me?" You ask in surprise
"Yeah,"
"Thanks!—I mean, sure it's cool." You say smoothly
"Oh but, can you wait for me later? I actually have training," Sanada asks
"I will check my time." You answer after a few minutes
You didn't event check your time, yet here you were watching as Sanada practices his batting
"My gosh what's with this heat?" You mumble, but you still continue to keep up a strong front, especially since you had a large group of people watching with you
"Go Yakushi's ace!" One cheered
That caught Sanada's attention, which is why he ended up looking towards your direction
You caught his eye so he waves at you
The people around you screams, thinking it was for them
He suddenly talks to some guy and he hands hit bat over to him before running towards your direction
"Hey," He greets you
"Hello." You answer seriously
"Have you been here long?"
"Of course not. I just got here." That was a lie, you went to the field immediately after classes
"Oh then thank you for waiting for me." He answers, "I'll return then." He waves at you while he jogs to his teammate who was grinning at him
"Are you and Sanada-kun dating?" Someone approached you
You laugh mockingly, "Of course not! I have a lot to do to think of such petty things such as dating."
"Pfft whatever." The girl rolls her eyes and returns to her friend
'Did I sound cold and conniving?' You wonder, hardly paying attention to the girls who were talking behind you, 'Shit am I that good of an actor? Maybe I'll get a role once I graduate high school.' You grin blissfully at the thought, but you immediately dropped it when you saw Sanada looking at you
Instead, you raise your eyebrows as he shakes his head before continuing his training

"Hey, sorry for making you wait long," He apologizes, looking like he just came from the shower—well he most likely did
"If you're sorry then let's go." You start walking as he follows behind you
"So we'll go to your house?" He asks, walking alongside you
"Yeah—what?" You did a double take
"I actually live in the dorms, so I thought we would be studying in your house." He answers cooly, "Unless you don't want to?"
"I just don't people coming in and out of my room." You say cooly, "But since you look trustworthy then I'll make you an exemption for today."
"The pleasures mine," Sanada replies, "Lead the way then, boss." He says lightheartedly causing you to squint your eyes at him
"Are you mocking me?" You cross your arms as Sanada smiles innocently
"Nope, just thought you were cute." He answers nonchalantly
"I'm not cute!" You argue
'Intimidating! Mysterious! Come on!' You say inside your head
Sanada watches you and catches on what you want soon enough
"Cool, I mean I think you're cool." He corrects himself
"Is that so," You hum, looking ahead of you so he won't see how happy you look
'So she likes those type of compliments huh,' He thinks as he watches you smile to yourself while you walk, he was worried that you might hit the pole, but thankfully you managed to dodge in time

"We're here." You announce once you reach your house, "My parents are still at work." You add as you use your keys to unlock the door
"Oh okay." Sanada answers, "Where are we making the assignment?" He asks
"My room?" You ask unconsciously, after a minute you gasp and covered your mouth with your hand, finally getting around what you said
"If you don't want to show me your room, you don't need to." He says, noticing the distress on your face
"No, I don't mind. Let's go." You pick yourself up and fixed your posture, before leading him up the second floor where your room was
Sanada opens your room, almost getting knocked over at the amount of books you have, not to mention it was quite dark. Were you able to read properly with how dark it was?
"What?" You demand when you notice him looking around
"Nice room," He comments, dropping his bag on the floor before walking over to your bookshelves
"Have you read all these?" He asks
"Of course I did." You announce proudly
"I'm going to take a wild guess and say you like those villains?" He asks, spotting a familiar book. He wasn't an avid reader but he's read a book or two
"Yeah I do!" Your tone suddenly became so excited, "You know how some villains are just so cool? Like, the mysterious, cunning and cold sorta vibe? Not to mention most of them are just really smart that if it wasn't for the plot they would have succeeded in their plans?" You rant as Sanada listens to you with a small smile on his face
Damn you were really adorable
You stop when you notice him, "Anyway, let's do our homework." You order him
"Yes ma'am." He even salutes as he sits in the floor and places his things on your table
"Are you teasing me again?" You mumble, sitting beside him as you flip through your books, ready to finish whatever assignment you had
How hard could it be, right?
Turns out it was very hard. So hard that you were still stuck on the second question, you didn't even know if your answer for the first one was correct
"I think that—have you not answered anything?" Sanada asks you
"I-I've just been trying to make sure my answers were correct." You hmph before crossing your arms, "I'm thirsty, I'll go get us drinks." You stand up and walk out of your bedroom
"So she doesn't know what to do huh." He nods as he looks at your part of the assignment. You didn't even properly answer the first question
Sanada couldn't help but chuckle, he wasn't making fun of you or anything, he just that the way you're acting is both adorable and quite amusing—although he figured that you would prefer to be called cool and intimidating
"I'm back," You announce, carrying a tray with a glass of juice and some light snacks, "Hey what are you doing?!" You demand when you see him holding your notebook
"I'll help you," He says
"I don't need help."
"Come on, think of it as a way of making yourself smarter, you don't want to be left behind with knowledge right?" He raises an eyebrow
"As if I will." You huff, setting the tray down, "But if you insist then I wouldn't mind." You finally agree as Sanada starts explaining the topic to you
'He's too op, how can he be good at sports, good at making friends and smart at the same time? That's not very fair.' You thought to yourself as you answer the questions while he eats while watching your progress
"There, I'm done." You push the book to him so he can check your answers
"Good job." He praises you
"Thanks—Even though I know that already," You add the last part in a hurry as he chuckles
"Good, that means you know your skills." He answers as you feel your cheeks heat up
'So he's not only sporty, handsome, friendly and smart but he's also a smooth talker!'
"Of-of course I do!" You a day strongly before grabbing a glass and drinking from it
"Well, thanks for inviting me to your house. I'll get going now." He starts fixing his things as you do the same
"Yeah...hey Sanada, thanks for the help." You mumble, but Sanada still heard it
"Of course, I'll see you tomorrow." He pats your head as he stands up and walks out your bedroom
You touch your hair, already feeling the heat on your cheeks
"Snap out of it." You slap your face before fixing your things that were still littered on the table

You walk to school, the usual cold expression on your face as people moved away as you walk
"Hey (Last name)!" Sanada calls out, making you drop your cold exterior when he suddenly taps your shoulder
"What?" You ask, turning around to face him
"Good morning." He grins, catching you off guard
"Good morning." You answer, coughing afterward before continuing your work
"It's another hot day, isn't it?" Sanada walls beside you
"Yeah, it is." You answer, noticing how eyes seem to be following you and Sanada
"Why are you walking with me?" You ask Sanada who feigns a hurt expression
"I thought we were friends after everything we've been through," He jokes
You huff, "I don't want friends," Partially a lie, you want friends and but you only accept the real ones
"Then let me be your side kick, every villain needs a trustworthy side kick, don't they?"
"Actually, it's mostly the heroes who have side kicks."
"Then just think of me as an underling or something, I'll follow you boss!" He even salutes, making you scowl
"Are you making fun of me?"
Sanada laughs before shaking his head, "No, I just think it's cu—cool." He corrects himself as you roll your eyes
"Whatever, do what you want." You sigh, "But I'm telling you, annoy me and I'll drop you."
Sanada's smile grows wider, he didn't know why but he can tell that you were lying about that last part
"Noted, I'll keep that in mind." He answers, "Lead the way," He even bows as you fight the urge to kick him
"Not even a minute and you're already getting on my nerves." You mutter, already ready to walk but ending up stopping mid step when he pulled your bag
"What?"
"As an underling, shouldn't I be the one carrying your things?" He asks
"That's not needed," You try stopping him, you didn't think he would take the underling thing seriously!
"I know, but I want to do it." He says smoothly. Using your reaction to his advantage, he steals your bag from you before carrying it himself, "Lead the way my lady~" He teases you
You blush at that, causing you to immediately turn around to hide your flustered state, Whatever just make sure nothing falls out of that bag."
"Yes ma'am," He replies, walking beside you with a small smile on his face
