Today marks the first day of our Work Studies which means my first day working with my lovely wife Momo.
Anya: I like peanuts!
Oh yeah. I forgot that today also marks the first day we're sending Eri to a public school. I looked downwards to see a girl around Eri's age with bright green eyes and pink hair talking to Eri. She was wearing a black sailor uniform and she does look cute.
Eri: I-like apples!
Eri, albeit shyly was trying her best to communicate outside us. I smiled at her courage as I turned back towards her homeroom and to my surprise it was Todoroki's sister, Fuyumi.
Fuyumi: Don't worry, I'll make sure Eri will be able to make friends by the end of today.
Momo: Thank you so much sensei. We're actually quite skeptical to send Eri this early but knowing it's for the better good, we have to make a decision.
Soon, after all documents were legalized, we waved back at Eri and her new friend, Anya alongside Fuyumi as we walked outside the school. Getting ready for our first patrol together.
Me: Be a good girl okay Eri? We'll pick you up after school so don't worry about it.
Eri: O-Okay papa. E-Eri will try her best!
I smiled at her before kissing her forehead and thus marks the start of our new schedule.
Momo: Are you really okay patrolling during the day? I don't want to disrupt your night patrol because of me.
Momo said in her concern tone as I giggled at her cute behavior.
Me: Don't worry sweetie. Anything for you.
I ruffled her hair as we started walking around the neighborhood. But it's not without some people recognizing who I was.
Person 1: Hey, isn't that Arcane?
Person 2: Wow it's really Arcane!
Person 3: Who's that beside him?
Person 4: Maybe it's his girlfriend?
I smirked a bit at the last comment as Momo was blushing from the public's eye.
Me: Aww~ Is someone shy~?
I teased her a bit with a playful tone only to get smacked by Momo on the head.
Momo: B-Baka! We're working! Stop playing around!
I laughed a bit louder at her reaction as it draws more attention towards us and to be honest, I love Momo's cute blushing face. But I think that's enough playing for now.
Me: You know babe, at first I don't think that I actually wanted to take you.
I started cracking my neck and my arms while making some small jumps. Momo looked at me confused at my comment and my actions. I stopped before looking at her smiling widely before dashing to the front, thwipping my threads to the buildings.
Me: Cuz I don't have time to babysit you!
I started to swing building to building before I heard some thwipping sound myself. I turned to my back to see Momo mimicking my moves as she made some Spider-Man web shooters herself as she chased after my back.
Momo: Please give me your instructions!
I smiled at her enthusiasm as we swung building by building. Until we reached a bridge which was demolished by a lizard quirked villain. Cars being tossed around as the lizard went on a rampage.
Me: Aphrodite! After him! Make sure he won't make it past the perimeter!
Momo: Yes sir!
Momo chased after the villain as I summoned Rogue by my side.
Me: Rogue, go and search all the civilians trapped under the rubble and make sure everyone is safe!
Rogue: Yes master!
Rogue then transformed into her cat form to sniff any civilians that needed help. True to her nose, she dashed towards the area that her nose brings her to as I looked at the chaos made by the villains. I then realized that a lot of cars were on the bringe of falling from the skirtings.
I quickly dashed towards it as multiple cars fell off from the bridge. Without any moments of hesitation, I managed to wrap each car with my Threads and hanged it on the side of the bridge, making sure none were falling into the river.
Person 1: Somebody help! My daughter is trapped!
I turned to my back as I landed on the railings. I turned to see a dad screaming for help as his daughter was trapped on his car. I quickly jumped down and thwipped my Threads to rush towards the car that was hanging on the side of the bridge.
Kid 1: Dad!! Help me!! Dad!!!
I heard the kid screamed on the car for help as I punched the back window to make room for the kid to see me.
Me: Hey hey it's okay buddy it's all right!
I tried to calm her down but she was on the brink of a panic attack. I took off my domino mask for her to see my full face.
Me: Hey look! I'm just a normal guy.
I said, calming him as it did it's work. She started to breath slower until I deemed it was okay for me to save her.
Me: You wanna hold on to this?
I said, giving her my mask for her to wear it on herself.
Me: What's your name? Uh.... Kasumi Miwa right?
I asked before I saw her name being sewed over her bag. She looked towards me and nodded as I smiled softly at her, indicating that everything will be all right.
Me: I'm gonna undo the belt so I want you to be strong okay?
I crawled slowly at her before undoing her belt in one go as she hold on to the front seat as she was set free. But what I didn't realized was the fuel from the car started to leak until it hits the engine and ignites into fire.
The fire burnt the initial threads I had before we were free falling. Luckily, I managed to thwip my Threads to wrap one of the bridge pillars as my other hand was holding the car. I looked at Miwa and saw she started to cry from fear.
Me: Miwa! I need you to climb now!
Miwa: I-I can't!
Me: Yes you can!
I was holding the car for dear life as I grunted from the pain. I looked over at Miwa and saw she was holding my mask.
Me: Put it on! The mask!
I nudged my head towards her to indicate my mask.
Me: It's going to make you strong! Trust me Miwa. It will!
She looked at the mask, contemplating before she slowly wore my white and black domino mask. She started to crawl towards me as I started to smile on her courage.
Me: That's it bud! You're doing great!
I grunted as the rear of the car was starting to fall off it's hinges. I looked at Miwa, who was still climbing as I kept on comforting her with my words.
Me: That's it Miwa keep it going! We'll make it out of this alive okay bud?
I smiled at her as she was about to reach my hand. Unfortunately, the car's rear had snapped and the car had started to free fall with Miwa in it.
Miwa: AAAAHHHHH!!!
She screamed for dear life as I watched her falling. I quickly thwiped my Threads to wrap her just in time before the car reached the river, face plant on the hard surface of the bottom. I sighed in relief knowing that she was saved on the last minute of the day.
I quickly pulled her over the railings as she was grabbed by her dad who was crying for her safety.
Dad: Kasumi! Oh God! Thank God you're okay! My daughter..... oh my daughter.....
I looked at the duo as it warmed my heart. Seeing the dad reuniting with her daughter warms my heart. The dad repeating her daughter's name like it was his last thing to do on earth shows the bond between those two.
Dad: Who are you?
The dad turned towards me as I smiled softly at her.
Me: Arcane sir.
I looked at Miwa since she was still wearing my mask. I smiled at her before patting her head.
Me: Keep it. It's a souvenir from me.
I jumped from the railing as I swing by the bridge towards Momo's direction to see how she was doing. I landed on the road only to see the lizard being taken down neatly as Momo was polishing her nails.
Momo: You're late. Don't tell me you're going to do this everytime we have a date?
Me: Well, I hope not.
I smiled at her as it made her giggled a bit. She walked towards me as she kissed me on the lips fully.
Rogue: Ahem! We're in public master and mistress.
I heard a cough to the side to see people taking pictures of us kissing. Rogue was on the side smiling smugly as I rolled my eyes at her cunning behaviour. I turned towards Momo on the side only for her to kiss me again.
Momo: I want everyone to know that you're mine and mine alone okay baby? I don't want to go full Yandere mode on you.
Momo, tone down the kink please....
I sweat dropped at her behavior before we wrapped things up for the day.

It was the end of the day as Momo and I were waiting for Eri to finish her first day of school. The bell rang to initiate that the day had ended. Soon, multiple kids ran out from the school as we waited for Eri.
Eri: Papa! Mama!
We heard Eri calling our name as we turned our heads to see Eri running at us with Fuyumi by her side.
Fuyumi: Eri-chan! Don't run or you'll fall!
But it fell on deaf ears as Eri jumped before catching both Momo and I off guard.
Me: Hey sport! How was your first day?
I asked as Eri smiled widely at me indicating her first dat went off without any problems.
Momo: I assumed that nothing troubled her?
Momo asked Fuyumi who shook her head before smiling.
Fuyumi: Nope. Nothing at all. Eri is a good girl, trying to communicate her best with the class and the whole class was supporting. She managed to get a friend in Anya and some others. So a good first day overall!
Fuyumi described Eri's first day as we smiled from her stories.
Me: That's good to hear knowing she started to receive the childhood she needed.
I replied as I grabbed her backpack to carry it myself.
Me: Well, we'll see you tomorrow Fuyumi sensei.
Fuyumi: Wait!
We were about to walk away before Fuyumi stopped both Momo and I.
Fuyumi: If it's okay, would you two come over for dinner?
Momo and I looked at each other confused from her invitation. A dinner with the Todoroki's doesn't sound bad but what about Endeavour? That's a question for the next chapter. So stay tune for that.
