Nichole runs into my arms as soon as I enter into an unfamiliar house
I wrap my arms around her "I missed you so much "she murmurs
"He didn't hurt you, did he?" she asks caressing my face

"I don't feel good" I murmur
"Come let's eat something and then you can rest"
"You are probably jet-lagged" She says
"How did you know about where I was?" I asked
"Since the moment you were missing, I was searching for you "
I knew it was Dante
I hacked into his laptop" She replied
"You have a ring on your finger, "Nichole says
"Yea he made me wear it" I murmur sitting on the table
"Then why don't you remove it, "she says as she pours soup into a bowl
I stilled
I swallowed roughly my heart racing with the thought of removing the ring "Hmm I will"
"I want to ask you some questions about the time you spend on the island"
"Can we talk about these tomorrow I just want to sleep "I said in a tired raspy voice
"Okay no worries let me show you the room," she says
"Look if you need anything tell me
My room is right beside you"
"Okay" I replied
As she closes the door, I lay on the bed not having any energy to change my clothes
Staring at the ceiling
Tears fall from my eyes
I wipe them off but they fall anyway

I curve my lips into a smile faking a laugh
It says when you laugh it tricks your brain to release the happy hormone

I try to laugh more but the more I try the more I feel sad

Soon I find myself giving in to the darkness too exhausted to keep my eyes open
