AFTER 1 WEEK
COLE'S POV
this is the 2nd week, every night i overthink like what if she found someone habang nasa ibang bansa ako? what if merong taong laging nandyan para sakanya habang wala ako? ano kayang magiging reaction niya kapag sinabi kona?
natatakot,kinakabahan,napapaoverthink bigla bigla. yan ang nararamdaman ko sa bawat araw na lumilipas, paano nalang kapag nawala siya sa tabi ko?
mababaliw kaya ako?
ano nang gagawin ko?
"cole are you okay?" bigla naman nagsalita tong katabi ko.
"y-yeah" sagot ko at ngumiti ng kaunti.
I'm not.
"are you sure?" laney.
"yeah"
nageexam ngayon si yzabel at tamang nood lang ako.
i think I'll tell her nalang agad? kasi lately she keep talking about her future eh.
"laney i need your help" sabi ko kay laney at kinalabit siya.
"what?" laney.
"look, I'm a future attorney right? and my dad wants me to transfer to U.S.A" sabi ko.
nagulat naman siya at napaharap sakin.
"p-pano si yzabel??" tanong niya.
"yun na nga iniisip ko, i only have 4 days bago yung flight" sabi ko.
"you're making a big mistake cole" laney.
"hindi din madali sakin toh" sagot ko.
"i need to tell her immediately dahil ayokong patagalin pa" sabi ko at yumuko.
"but I'll promise na babalik ako after ko magstudy sa America"
"how long does it take?" laney.
"5-6 years"
"four years lang ang law school cole" laney.
"yeah pero hindi ganun kadali dahil di agad ako papayagan ni dad umuwi dito pagtapos ko magaral don"
"kelan mo balak sabihin?" laney.
"mamaya,sa loob ng car mo dalhin mo kami sa lugar na tahimik at walang tao" sagot ko.
"may alam ako" sagot niya.
"promise me na babalik ka for her cole, ayokong masaktan yung pinsan ko" laney.
"i promise, aral ang pupuntahan ko don hindi ibang tao" sagot ko.
"sige just wait for her mamaya" laney.
tumango nalang ako at yumuko.
kung ano ano ng pumapasok sa utak ko..
GEN POV
"i know this isn't easy for cole but... this is the best for cole" mr.somera said.
"dad, what about yzabel?" abby.
"kung kay cole lang siya, kahit gaano pa katagal hihintayin niya si cole" mr.somera
"dad hindi madaling maghintay ng 4 years" abby.
"she's too young" abby.
"as i said, kung mahal niya si cole hindi siya maghahanap or mapapagod kay cole kakahintay, pupunta si cole sa U.S.A para magaral hindi kumilala ng iba" mr.somera
"i want you to guide her, iwan mo si lara dito para bantayan si yzabel, take gabb with you" mr.somera said bago lumabas ng office at isuot muli ang coat niya.
tumayo na din si abby para pumunta sa office dahil nandon si gabb, sometimes they manage the company pero si mr.somera may ari non.
"what are you doing here?" pagkapasok na pagkasok ni abby yan ang narinig niya.
napaisip siya kung kapatid niya ba talaga toh o kasambahay.
"we need to talk, where's lara?" tanong ni abby.
"at the meeting, padating na din yon" gabb said.
umupo na muna si abby at kinuwa ang phone para ichat si cole.
abby.st: cole, where are you?
cole.ts: 2nd day board exam ni yzabel,why?
cole.ts: btw... I'm gonna tell her na about sa flight and I'm nervous.
abby.st: calm down cole, she need to understand you.
cole.ts: she understand me pero i think this is too much because i will leave her because of Law.
abby.st: what do you want us to do? pagpalitin yung u.s.a at pilipinas?
cole.ts: sigurado akong magagalit siya.
abby.st: panigurado, sino ba namang hindi?
cole.ts: i need to do this. mukang mapapaaga flight natin.
abby.st: sabihin ko ba kay dad?
cole.ts:wag muna
abby.st: okay.
inoff kona ang phone ko dahil dumating na si lara.
"Hi" lara said at umupo.
"she said we need to talk about cole" gabb.
"what about cole?" lara.
"maiiwan ka muna lara, bantayan mo yung school pati na din si yzabel, give us updates about yzabel" abby.
"I'm on it" lara.
"gabb, you'll come with us" abby.
"fine" gabb.
"that's all?" lara.
"call jiro" abby.
agad naman tinawagan ni lara si jiro.
"what?" jiro said nang makapasok siya sa office.
"do you know any highest rate of Law school in U.S.A?" abby.
"yale Law school or Harvard Law school, that's the top 2 law school in U.S.A" jiro.
"how about Marquette university?" gabb.
"on Milwaukee. WI" gabb
"doon nagaral dati si mr.somera diba?" jiro.
"yes" abby.
"Marquette university,fine ienroll mo don si cole" utos ni abby kay gabb.
"napakahalaga ni cole sainyo" jiro.
"bunso namin siya but she's smarter than us" abby.
"tanga kang sa pag-ibig" gabb.
"Gabrielle" saway ni abby.
STILL GEN POV
after Gabb,abby,jiro,lara's meeting.
cole told then the plan.
9pm
"what are we doing here love?" yzabel to cole.
nasa highway sila ngayon at nasa tabi
tahimik dito at walang sasakyan na dumadaan dahil dead end yung dulo nito.
"love, i need to tell you something" cole said.
lumabas si laney sa car at umupo sa likod ng car.
"w-what is it?" yzabel.
"about my dad..." cole.
"what about your dad? did you saw him?" yzabel.
"yes and he wants me to come with him" cole.
"you can come with him, he's your dad naman eh" yzabel said.
she's look so innocent to realize.
"to U.S.A and doon ituloy yung Studies and Law school ko..." cole.
"love you're joking right?" p-prank nyo toh ni laney noh?" sabi ni yzabel at may hinahanap sa paligid.
her voice is cracking habang nagsasalita.
"love" cole hugged her while crying.
"please love, don't do this to me please" nagmamakaawang sabi ni yzabel at hinawakan ang magkabilang kamay ni cole.
"i promise I'll come back" cole.
"please, don't do this- i-i'll come with you" yzabel.
they're both crying pero si yzabel hindi mapakali at hindi na maayos ang boses niya dahil.
"please love" yzabel said while crying at hinahalik halikan ang kamay ni cole.
"i promise I'll come back, I'll come back for you... for us" cole.
bigla naman natahimik si yzabel at sumeryoso ang muka.
"cole... tell me... is this real or you just using your dad dahil pagod kana?" yzabel said with serious tone but her tears keep dropping.
"I'm telling the truth love i can show you our conversation" cole said at kinuwa ang phone pero kinuwa yun ni yzabel at binato.
"JUST FUCKING TELL ME!" sigaw ni yzabel.
"ARE YOU TIRED?!" yzabel.
"I'm not! never akong mapapagod sayo!" sigaw pabalik ni cole.
"my mom told me to stay away from you pero di ko ginagawa dahil mahal kita cole" yzabel.
"at ikaw sa simpleng yaya sayo ng dad mo pumapayag kana?!" yzabel.
"you no nothing yzabel! everytime i cry! everytime i overthink dahil baka pagalis ko makahanap kana ng taong laging nandyan para sayo! natatakot ako na baka mapalitan mo ko agad!" cole said while crying, she clench her plam then punch the seat infront of her.
"then bakit ka pumayag?!" yzabel.
"ipapa-Ban niya ako sa lahat ng school sa pilipinas at natatakot ako dahil baka madamay kapa!" cole.
sandali silang natahimik at umiyak buong magdamag.
lara,gabb,abby,laney hearing all the conversation outside but abby can't stop herself from crying dahil nakikita niya yung sarili niya kay cole.
that's how she broke up with cherprang,same reason,same place.
"just leave" yzabel said.
"love promise I'll come back, 6 years lang love pro-" she didn't finish her sentence when yzabel slapped her so hard.
naramdaman ni cole na namamanhid ang pisngi niya.
"LANG?! NARIRINIG MO BAYANG SARILI MO COLE?!" yzabel.
"I'll promise... babalik ako para sayo love, magtiwala ka lang" cole said kahit hindi na niya maayos ang boses niya.
"JUST FUCKING LEAVE!" sigaw ni yzabel na dahilan para mapaatras si cole.
yzabel feel guilty for shouting.
"if you leave... I'll wait for you... pero kapag napagod ako pasensyahan nalang tayo cole" seryosong sabi ni yzabel.
"can i get my last kiss? babalik naman ako" cole said at hinawakan sa pisngi si yzabel.
yzabel immediately kissed cole, it's hot and full of love.
"I'll try to wait for you" yzabel.
"but, for the last time cole... can sleep on your arm?" yzabel said, namumugto na ang mata niya at sobrang pula na ng ilong niya.
lumapit si cole at pinahiga niya si yzabel sa lap niya habang buhat naman niya ang ulo ni yzabel gamit ang likod ng siko niya.
she played with yzabel's hair.
she will miss her smell.
her touch.
her kisses.
her tight and warm hugs.
her way of talking.
yzabel is sleeping peacefully kahit may luha sa mata.
hinubad niya ang jacket niya at pinangkumot kay yzabel, she leave a 1 pack of gummy bears.
"if you fall asleep again in my arms... i promise I'll hold you just as close as this" cole.
yzabel felt someone carrying her while walking, she opened her eyes then she saw cole smiling habang buhat siya.
by this time she woke up, all she see is old tree, cloudy sky and cole.
"Hi love, you're awake" masiglang sabi ni cole at ngumiti kay yzabel.
yzabel don't know what is going on but her priority is cole, she only see cole.
it's always cole.
"l-love" yzabel.
nakangiting tumingin sakanya si cole.
"yes my love?" cole.
"you didn't leave??" yzabel.
cole didn't answer her pero nakangiti padin si cole.
naglalakad lang si cole habang buhat buhat si yzabel.
"love where are we going?" tanong ni yzabel at tumingin sa daan.
she saw a woman standing, malayo layo pero halatang babae yon.
"who's that love?" tanong ulit ni yzabel.
cole keep smiling pero hindi siya sinasagot.
"cole answer me, where.are.we" yzabel said with serious tone.
cole didn't respond.
"LOVE ANSWER ME!" galit na sabi ni yzabel at hinarap ang muka ni cole sakanya.
pagkatanggal niya ng kamay niya she saw her hand with blood, may tumutulong dugo sa ulo ni cole papunta sa baba nito.
"love what happened to you?!" nagaalalang tanong ni yzabel.
at this time, she felt someone hand on her back, pinasa siya ni cole sa babaeng nakahood at nakatago ang muka.
"c-cole what are you doing?!" yzabel.
"don't hurt her like i did" cole said.
tumango lang nag babaeng nakatago ang muka.
the blood on cole's head keep leaking and leaking.
"wherever you go, i will follow you..." cole said
nagulat si yzabel nang may bumangga kay cole na bus at tumilapon si cole kasama ng bus.
