Today is Haewon's day off. The same goes for you actually. It has been some time since you last had quality time with your girlfriend, Haewon, since she has been busy with the group promotions of NMIXX in the past few weeks. To be fair, you have been busy with studies and work as well.
Although Haewon comes home to your shared house the entire time, it is either she drifts into dreamland by the moment that her back came in contact with the bed, or you are asleep by the time she arrives then she already left when you wake up the next day.
The both of you were looking forward to this day, and it shows. By the time that you woke up, you found Haewon gazing at you endearingly. You were laying by your side with your head was resting on her arm. Despite dating her for nearly 2 years already, you can still feel butterflies in your stomach whenever you catch her looking at you that way.
"Good morning, sweetie." Haewon greeted huskily, running her fingers through your hair to move its strands which were covering your forehead before giving you a kiss on that spot.
"How long have you been up?" You asked, rubbing your eyes before looking back at her. The sparkle in her eyes was still there.
Haewon hummed in response.
"Just slightly ahead of you."
"You got nothing to do, right?"
"Technically, I do. I'm gonna spend this day with you." Haewon winked after blurting that out, effectively making your heart flutter. Then, she stopped from running her fingers from your strands then rested her hand on your lower back.
"If that is so, then will it be fine if you would ask you for a morning cuddle and a catch-up? In the past few weeks, we barely talked even if you come home here. I missed our morning cuddles and talks..." You whined playfully, pouting afterwards. Meanwhile, a smile uncontrollably formed on her lips.
"Likewise, Y/N, sweetie, of course. I wouldn't mind. In fact, I would love that."
Following that, Haewon sat up and leaned her back to the headboard of the bed. Her legs formed a slightly V-shape to give way for you to sit in between them. She opened her arms. You quickly sat up, snuggled between her legs, and leaned on her. As soon as you have settled down, she rested her hands on your hips. You stayed like that for a moment until you broke the silence.
"How have you been?"
"Have I been, it is. Well, I had a good time. At the same time, I was really exhausted. You know that... I love being on-stage with the girls, I love performing. It is my passion. It is just that the schedule gets too packed and demanding. The pressure on me as a leader becomes overwhelming. I couldn't help but get burned out, especially that our time together was also scarce. I couldn't talk much about it." Haewon paused, brushing her lips against your head while giving your shoulder a massage. You let a whimper.
"Now that I am here with you though, I feel so much better." Haewon moved her lips away from your head as she tilted her head a little, so she can look at you. "How about you?"
"Similar to yours." You responded tentatively. "I'm having a great time learning because this program I've chosen is something of my interest. It is just that the workload gets overwhelming. The deadlines are too close to one another. Although my supervisor has been quite lenient on me, there are times that I have to work twice harder than usual, especially during peak time. Compromising my sleep couldn't be helped." You can see that Haewon's lips curved downwards upon hearing all these.
You pecked on her lips quickly which made her flush. Then, you whispered softly.
"However, being in your arms eases everything. You got that magic." It was the time for her to be flattered. The frown on her face was instantly replaced with a beam of satisfaction as her heart began to hammer against her chest.
She tugged you closer to her, resting her forehead on yours.
"Do that one more time. I wasn't ready."
"Which?" You know what she meant but you decided to tease her. Haewon pouted provocatively.
You tittered before cupping her cheek, leaning in for a kiss. It was supposed to be a peck only, but Haewon was quick enough to prevent you from pulling away. You two shared a slow yet passionate kiss until one of you had to pull away for air. It was you.
After that, you two chuckled among yourselves. You leaned on her again while she was holding you close to her and trailing kisses on your shoulder. You reached for her head to caress it. You two hang around like that for some more while until you remembered the video that you watched from YouTube like a week ago.
The video is about getting all dressed up to simply run errands to see how the girlfriend would react. You personally wanted to see how Haewon would react, especially that even on your dates; you barely get yourself all dressed up for them. The last time that you did so was during your anniversary date. Other than that, you just wear a tank top with ripped jeans as bottoms or spaghetti strap singlet underneath an unbuttoned flannel with denim shorts as bottoms. Since it is your day off today, you thought that this would be the perfect time to pull it off.
Even if you were still half-hearted about cutting this moment with her, you gasped and covered your mouth, acting all startled. This immediately made Haewon stop from what she was doing. She looked at you worriedly.
"What's wrong?"
"I almost forgot that I have to run a few errands today. This is the only time that I have the chance to do so."
Haewon frowned.
"I thought that today was for us..."
"I know, sweetie. But like what I've said, this is the only time that I have the chance to do so. In the coming days, it will be hectic again. Don't worry, I'll be quick. I think that I'll be home in the early afternoon if I'm early."
"Okay, fine." She murmured, letting you go.
"But you must eat breakfast here first, alright? I'll make you a meal while you are getting ready. And yah, prepare already so that you can get back home soon."
"Alright."
Haewon grinned at your response, tucking your hair behind your ear before she gave you a peck.
"I love you." She crooned.
"I love you too."
"I will see you downstairs."
With that, she got up and went downstairs, heading to the kitchen to make you breakfast. Meanwhile, you skimmed through your closet. There, you found the black puffed shoulder double breasted blazer dress that you bought months ago. You smirked and thought that this is the one. You took it out and laid it on the bed before heading to the bathroom to brush your teeth and take a quick bath.
After taking a bath, you sat in front of the mirror to dry your hair with a blower and to style it. When you were through with your hair, you proceeded to apply some make-up.
When you were satisfied with how you looked, you went towards the bed to finally put the dress on. To spice things a bit, you put a black beret on. You checked yourself in the mirror for the last time before heading out of your shared room with Haewon to go downstairs.
"Just in time, sweetie!" Haewon exclaimed while she was putting plates down on the table. She hasn't seen you yet. She just heard the footsteps have stopped, so she knew that you were already around.
You walked towards the dining room but still she hasn't acknowledged your presence since she was busy putting food on your plate.
"So, I prepared your favorite, kimchi fried rice with sp-" Haewon didn't get to finish her sentence as her mind became clouded upon seeing you. She gaped at you. You can see how her bright brown eyes moved up and down your body, checking you out.
"Woah, you look stunning, Y/N." She breathily said as she walked towards you. Her hands instinctively settled on your hips. She was having a hard time keeping her eyes locked on yours.
"Are you seriously going out to run errands just like this? Have you booked a car already?"
"For your first question, yes, I am feeling myself today. For the second one, yes, I already did. It will be here approximately in 10 to 15 minutes, so I need to be quick."
"Can you push it a bit?" She inquired, biting onto her lower lip and running her hands up and down your sides. With that, you knew that you got her good.
"I can't."
"I don't want to be that one partner who would control or dictate the way you should dress up, but I personally do not want you to go out like this by yourself." Haewon mumbled. "Give me five minutes to prepare, so I can come with you then."
"You should be resting, Haewonie. Let me handle this by myself. It's your day off."
"You wouldn't be out for so long, right? I can do that after assisting you in running your errands." You can see the determination in her eyes, and you can no longer hold it in. A giggle slipped out of your mouth.
Haewon was baffled by this. She looked at you with her eyebrows furrowed.
"I was just messing with you. I'm not going anywhere." You confessed. Haewon's lips initially quivered in disbelief. But then, one side of it mischievously curved upwards upon comprehending the second sentence.
She got a good grip on your sides, then she shoved you against the wall. Your breath hitched, surprised by this side of her. You haven't fully recovered when Haewon leveled her lips to your ear.
"Then, there is no need for me to hold back anymore..." She whispered raspily, glancing at you before she proceeded to kiss your earlobe enticingly, occasionally licking and nibbling it. This sent shivers down your spine and caused your heart to beat heavily.
