I woke up some minutes later still in Steve's arms.
He was sitting next to Bucky who was whimpering.
Bucky:„steve it hurts..."
Steve:„i know...I know! It will get better...I'm happy that I didn't lost you!"
Bucky:„who isn't?"
He chuckled and Steve stroked over his hair.
Y/n:„dad!"
Bucky:„doll...awwww come here..."
He gave me a kiss while Steve was still holding me tight to his body.
Steve:„feeling better?"
Y/n:„no..."
Bucky:„what's wrong dolly?"
Steve:„she's not feeling so good! Let's bring you upstairs...alright?"
Y/n:„mhm..."
I rubbed my eyes and felt asleep again.
Bucky:„take her temperature!"
Steve:„i will...go to sleep too!"
They kissed again and Steve walked into my room with me.
Steve:„come here...we will take your temperature!"
I sat down on his lap and he took my temperature.
Steve:„hm...it's normal!"
Y/n:„it hurts...really!"
Steve:„where does it hurt?"
Y/n:„my chest hurts..."
Steve:„you think you can wait until tomorrow?"
Y/n:„mhm..."
It wasn't that bad at the moment so he layed down with me and we felt asleep.
~morning~
Steve:„princess...wake up get ready for school!"
Y/n:„daddy..."
Steve:„c'mon!"
Y/n:„im not feeling good..."
Steve:„i know you don't want to go to school but-"
Y/n:„its cold here..."
Steve:„no it isn't cold- let me take your temperature..."
He sat me up and took my temperature.
Steve:„wow! That's high! How could it get so high in just some hours? Sweetie lay down I will get Bruce! Alright?"
I nodded and laid down.
Some minutes later Bruce came up to me.
Bruce: "So she definitely has a high fever! And I can't rule out chills either! y/n do you feel weaker than usual?"
i nodded and hugged my stuffed bunny tighter.
Bruce: What about a cough? is it hard for you to breathe?"
y/n:"a little bit..."
bruce:"ok...i'll take your heart rate and hope it's not what i think it is..."
steve: "what are you thinking about?" steve asked with folded arms, standing right behind him.
Bruce: "hm...high heart rate...i would take her to the doctors now!"
steve:"what's going on?"
bruce:"I suspect pneumonia!"
We drove to the doctor's and they ran some tests.
They send us home and said that I should inhale more often a day, stay in bed, take antibiotics and drink a lot.
Steve:„thank you doctor..."
Steve picked me up and we drove home.
Bucky:„what's wrong with y/n? Why isn't she in school?"
He came up to us with a bandage around the abdomen.
Steve:„she has pneumonia..."
Bucky stroked over my cheek and I started coughing.
Bruce:„We should have expected her to get that!"
steve:"what why?"
Bruce:"She has asthma Steve!"
steve:"and that makes such a big difference when you have it?"
bruce: "yes! of course it makes a big difference!"
steve:"ok...thanks bruce!"
Steve put me over his shoulder and went upstairs.
y/n:"Daddy...it hurts!"
steve:"what exactly?"
y/n: "here..."
I pointed to where my lungs are and he laid me down.
Steve: "I'll get you something to inhale!"
y/n:"ok..."
He came back upstairs and I saw tony and Bruce behind him.
Steve:„could you stay here? I will call y/n's school and tell them that she won't be able to come for the whole week..."
Y/n:„hockey!"
Steve:„no y/n! No hockey!"
Bruce helped me to inhale and Steve called my teacher and my coach.
Steve:„alright...I'm done! How are you princess?"
Y/n:„i want to go play hockey!"
Buddy layed down on top of me and I started stroking his fur.
Steve:„i know..."
He sat down next to me and Bruce took the inhaling thing away.
Y/n:„please...I wanna go..."
Steve:„no you're ill..."
Peter came into the room with roses.
Peter:„hey! I brought you roses..."
Tony chuckled and Steve patted peters shoulder.
Tony:„what next? Will you marry her?"
Peter:„hm...good idea!"
Steve looked at him and Peter stopped.
Peter:„when you feel better I will take you out and we will go and eat something in a fancy restaurant! Alright?"
I nodded and he kissed my cheek.
