Mirai POV:

Their wedding was beautiful. Myself and a close friend of Inko's were left in charge of planning, I'm certain Mitsuki and I did a very good job. Mitsuki held an iron fist and made sure that no one would even step out of line, I made it my personal job to foresee any potential problems. We picked out a sunny day on the beach in Musutafu, the one we cleared. Friends from all over had attended the wedding. Gran Torino put on a suit and I was Toshinori's best man. It was strange to see some heroes pulling of tuxedos and dresses, but all of them knew about Toshinori's secret and they were very happy for him. I can't think of a more perfect day.

Of course after the wedding, things were going right along. Inko moved in with Toshinori, and All Might started to make smaller public appearances. He hasn't done any big jobs and he probably won't for some time. We've left that work to Endeavor, and despite his sometimes bitter attitude he seems to be doing just a fine job. As for myself, I went back to working full time. I rarely stop by the Yagi's house. It's for the best, they needed time to be by themselves. They were newlyweds after all.

It's been about a year and a half since their wedding day, and they've come quite far. Inko is still head nurse and has helped make some changes around the hospital. Toshinori has assumed the role of a house husband, making meals and cleaning. He does that in between new training plans the Gran Torino and Recovery Girl have made for him. They truly are a wonderful family, but it's only a matter of time until they add one more to the mix. Now that Mitsuki and Masaru are having a child,
It could be any day now before they announce their own pregnancy.

"Good morning Toshinori. Hope you don't mind me dropping by." I nod as I enter the house.

"It's no trouble! You're here to help with training after all. It's time for me to try sparing again." Toshinori winks as he slides off his bright blue apron and runs over to me.

"Right, let's start with some basic moves then. We need to understand your limit for using One for All, so activate the power without attacking for as long as possible." I pull out a dining room chair and watch Toshinori transform.

"You just want me to focus on One for All for as long as possible?" He looks at me with slight confusion.

"Yes. You can do other things of course, but nothing like moving furniture or throwing punches. Just do normal things while keeping a grasp on One for All, this will be the best way of finding out your current limits." I smile and start a timer on my phone as Toshinori returns to doing his normal things.

"Alright then, I've got a cake to bake! We're hosting a dinner party, you should come. Mirai." Toshinori grins as he reaches into a cabinet to grab a mixing bowl.

"What's the occasion?" I ask as I settle in at the table.

"Mitsuki and Masaru just bought a new house, after tonight's dinner we're going to help them move in." He slowly pours milk into the bowl along with the cake mix.

"A new house? That does sound like something to celebrate. They bought it to have room for the baby, right?" I watch Toshinori gently crack two eggs.

"Mhm, it's a three bedroom, two bathroom house that's close to some nice schools. So are you coming to dinner?" Toshinori whisks the batter together, careful not to spill any.

"I think I have time to attend the celebration. I'll be sure to bring a housewarming gift. Do you think they might need anything?" I turn and look out the windows, down to the city below. You can see UA from here.

"Inko and I are giving them a towel set. They want to renovate the bathroom and with their plan in mind we found a perfect set for them." Toshinori nods as he pours the cake into a bundt pan.

"Renovating the bathroom? I see. I'll give them money then, to help with the baby and the renovations." I smile as Toshinori slams the cake down to get the air bubbles out of the batter.

"That sounds like a good idea." He turns and pushes the pan into the oven. Once it's closed he washes his hands and starts walking towards the living room.

"Alright, we'll be here at 7:00. Don't wear anything too fancy, it's just a casual party. So no need for all your suits." Toshinori looks at me while he straightens the couch cushions.

"Understood. It seems like you've really got the whole house husband thing down." I nod and check the timer. He's been using One for All for 30 minutes now.

"You think so? I'm just trying my best to support Inko. But once I've healed completely I'll be back in the hero scene! That'll be exciting, I've missed it quite a bit." He smiles as he opens one of the windows near the fireplace.

"I'm happy for your return." I watch him open another window on the other side of the fireplace.

"It will be less than a year now!" He squeals.

"I look forward to working alongside you again. I've missed fighting crime with you." I return his happiness with a grin.

"Alright, I've got to clean the toilets now." Nods with a bright smile on his face.

"I wish you good luck." I laugh.

Mitsuki POV:

The damn brat growing inside of me is already being a pain! It's not just the morning sickness and the cramps, my body looks like two fucking beach ball on top of each other. This kid better be worth it or I might go insane.

Thank god for Toshinori though. He sent over a bunch of sweets and I've been eating that shit up! Masaru is trying his best to keep me healthy, I understand why, but a piece of chocolate cake makes my troubles go away. It doesn't help that Inko is also telling me to try eating random ass 'superfoods', she says they'll help with cramps but I'd still prefer a warm brownie instead of some crappy little greens. I get why Inko fell for Toshinori, he'll do anything you ask. He frankly seems too innocent for me, like some sort of puppy.

"With the house to myself, I can indulge in whatever I please. Let's grab a soda, baby." I laugh while talking to the brat. Masaru says it will help with development, I think he just likes to hear my voice.

I reach into the fridge and grab a coke. I was just going to get something to drink but then I remembered that we had ice cream in the freezer, and it was chocolate flavored! How could I not? I'm normally very strict with my diet, I can slack off while I'm pregnant. I deserve it. As soon as I opened the freezer, my damn phone started ringing. So I left with just my soda while I went to grab the phone.

"Hello?" I sigh.

"Mitsuki!" Inko cries over the phone, her voice carries a tone of panic and something else that I can't quite pick up on.

"Inko? Inko what happened, are you okay?" I try to stay calm as I yell over the phone.

"Mitsuki, it happened!" She squeals.

"What- what happened?" I shout as I turn her on to speaker while I prepare to drive to wherever she is.

"I'm pregnant!" She yelps.

"What?" I stop entirely and walk back over to the phone.

"I had noticed that my period hadn't come on time, and I felt sick this morning so I bought a test on my way to work. I just took it and I'm pregnant!" She sobs, but I can tell that she's overjoyed.

"Oh my god! Inko this is great! Our kids are going to be best friends and I'll be an aunt! They'll have play dates and all that stuff, oh I can't wait to plan all that stuff with you." I cheer as I pick the phone back up.

"Where are you right now? Does Toshinori know?" I clap.

"No, I was about to call him-" Inko starts but I immediately cut her off.

"You can't tell him over the phone! He'll drop dead, Inko, tell him once you get home. I'll let Masaru know but I won't tell another soul until you want me to." I cringe at the thought of Toshinori passing out over the phone.

"Okay, I'll let him know as soon as I get through the door! Mitsuki, I'm so excited." She squeaks.

"I know! I'm so happy for you. I'll talk soon, okay?" I smile.

"Alright, I'll see you tonight for dinner. Bye!" Her voice disappears from my phone as she hangs up.

"Hear that, you aren't the only baby around here anymore!" I cackle to myself and the brat.

'I'm gonna be an aunt'

Inko POV:

It's a short drive back home, but it felt like an eternity. There is a small human being starting to grow inside of me, I can't wait to tell Toshinori! It feels like a dirty secret that he doesn't know yet, but Mitsuki was probably right. If I told him over the phone he might have turned into All Might and smashed into the hospital. But now I'm going to tell him, and we're going to celebrate like there's no tomorrow! Kind of... I should really start watching what I eat to make sure the baby turns out fine. This is my first pregnancy, I have to do my best.

I pulled into the driveway and walked in through the garage. I opened the door and saw... Toshinori doing jazzercise in his buff form? What in the world?

"Inko, darling! Look at these tapes my doctor sent for me, they're going to help me get back to my original form." Toshinori grins and squeezes me in a hug.

"Good afternoon, Inko." Mirai waves to me, he's also in 80's work out garb. It's funny seeing someone so serious dressed up like this.

"Not too tight dear, we don't want to smush them." I giggle as I kiss Toshinori on the cheek and push away from him.

"Smush who?" He asks as he looks around me for someone.

"The baby." I smile and lay his hand on my stomach.

"The baby. . . YOU'RE PREGNANT!?" He shouts before grinning wider than I've ever seen. I nod my head and he lifts me off the ground.

"I'm going to be a dad! And you, a mother! Inko, this, this is fantastic. Our baby is going to be fantastic!" Toshinori cheers as he twirls me around.

"Our baby." I whisper as I repeat his words. He kisses all over my face but the thought of me being a mother still lingers in my mind, it doesn't feel real. Yet, it feels so right.

"Congratulations!" Mirai claps as he takes a VHS tape out from the television.

"Thank you." I smile towards him as Toshinori wipes both our teary eyes.

"This is great, we have to celebrate! Tonight, we can call everyone over and party." Toshinori squeals.

"Darling, we're already hosting a dinner tonight. For Mitsuki and Masaru, their new house, remember?" I snicker to myself as I watch the realization cross his face.

"I see... THEN, we must party twice as hard! You are partying for two now." He smirks.

"Toshinori." I giggle.

"Mirai, we'll continue training tomorrow. You should go home and get ready for the dinner tonight! I'm going to cook extra, and Inko my beloved, you must rest. I'll await your every wish!" He smiles towards me. He's practically glowing at this point.

"Right, call me if you need me before 7:00. And again, congratulations." Mirai nods and grabs his coat before walking towards the door.

"Thank you, Mirai. Save travels!" I wave.

"Alright! Now, m'lady, if you'd please sit upon the couch I can meet your every need. I'll bring you something to eat and I can put in a movie if you want." Toshinori smiles as he runs around the house trying to create a perfect condition for me.

"Maybe just a little snack, how about some saltines? I'll just turn on the news." I smile as I take my spot on the couch.

"Of course, right away!" He grins and darts into the kitchen for me.

A few hours later Mitsuki and Masaru showed up. Mitsuki freaked out when she saw me and decided to lend me some of her shirts. She said it wouldn't be long until we looked the same, I was glad to see her so happy. Toshinori finished dinner and Mirai showed up right before we ate.

"A toast, to your new lovely house and to the new family members on the way. I can foresee a bright future." Mirai smiles.

"Yeah!" Mitsuki chirps.

We spent the whole night laughing and talking, sometimes even crying. These people, all of them are my family. Each one of them is so special to me, I'm so glad I get to sit around a table with them. I know that once the babies get here, things will only get better. I can tell that everything's going to be fine just by looking at their smiles. As long as we're smiling, it's going to be okay.

Not before long it was 11:25 PM, and Mitsuki and Masaru decided to leave. They've got a big day tomorrow, I hope moving in will be fun for them. Mirai stayed a little long to help clean, but soon enough he left as well. Once Toshinori and I were alone I practically passed out in his arms. I was so tired that I hardly noticed him tuck me into our bed.

—————

Mirai POV:

It's been 6 and a half months since Inko declared her pregnancy and a lot has happened. For starters, Bakugou Katsuki was brought into this world and he's proven himself to be quite the young boy. And through our experiments we've seen that Toshinori can keep a steady grasp on One for All for 7 hours a day. The time normally 'resets' after a rest period of about 2 hours. If I'm being honest, everything was going so well.

I didn't foresee the oncoming storm.

One night, around 8:00, I received a call from Toshinori. He doesn't normally call people, he prefers to text to meet in person. So right off the bat I could tell something was off.

"Hello?" I speak into the phone, making sure he can hear me.

"We're in the hospital, something's wrong with the baby and Inko!" He cries. His voice carries a tone of worry that I've never heard from him.

"I'm on my way!" I run out of my office and sprint towards my car. Toshinori was sobbing when he hung up. I couldn't tell what was going on, her placenta could've ripped or it could've just been a very hard kick, I can't be sure until I get there. As soon as I got to the parking lot of the hospital I rushed in through the doors. I spotted Mitsuki sitting alone in the waiting room.

"Mitsuki, what's going on? Is Masaru here? What about Toshinori and Inko?" I ask as I approach her.

"Mirai! I don't know what's happened, I had to leave Masaru with Katsuki and I haven't heard a word from Inko, Toshinori, or the doctors since I got here." She scowls, clearly worried for her friend.

"Damn it, has anyone even checked in on them yet? All Toshinori told me was that they were in the hospital and something was wrong with Inko and the baby." I sigh as I sit in a chair next to here.

"I'm not sure, these doctors keep telling me everything is going to be fine, but if everything were fine then they wouldn't be in the fucking hospital!" Mitsuki growls. I understand her frustration, these are our best friends after all. If someone's life could be in danger then I'd want to know immediately. We sat in silence for a few minutes until finally a nurse came towards us.

"Are you two here for Yagi Inko?" He asked, it was hard to tell what face he was making due to the surgical mask.

"Yes we are, what's going on?" Mitsuki stares down the poor nurse while demanding answers.

"Well, she entered labor just thirty minutes ago-" He starts.

"Labor? It's not time!" I stand up from shock and Mitsuki gasps.

"We know that, but the baby is coming now. We attempted a C-section but due to contraction we could get started in time. Currently Inko's health is moderately stable, this is the only thing we can confirm right now." The nurse nods.

"How much longer is it going to be stable? Eventually it's going to start deteriorating, isn't it?" Mitsuki hisses as she holds back her tears.

"I can't confirm that yet, we will keep you updated but please be patient." The nurse tries to comfort Mitsuki, but he fails miserably.

"Shit." Mitsuki cries as she falls back into her chair.

"We're doing everything we can." The nurse sighs.

"Thank you." I nod as he walks away.

That's when I thought about using my quirk, to see what happened. But... I couldn't bring myself to do it. I'm not sure if the things I see become set in stone, and if I were to see her death then I couldn't live with myself. What if I had sealed her fate, I won't be responsible for that. We just have to wait, like the nurse said. Yet as every moment passes, I watch the world slow down and become bleak. I'm useless in the battle against time.

It was four hours later when a doctor came up to Mitsuki and I. His face was solemn, and that's when the sky turned gray and started to cry with us. She was in labor for so long, she must have been exhausted.

"You two are friends of Yagi Inko, correct?" He asks.

"Yes." I nod, aware of the news that's going to crush us.

"She passed away 15 minutes ago, right after labor ended. The baby is in an extensive care unit, he seems as healthy as possible for him to be this premature. I'm sorry for your loss." He stares at the floor as he tells us. Mitsuki grabs onto me as she sobs, the tears flow out of her. I try to hold my own cries back but my efforts are for nothing.  We cry, I'm not sure for how long, but we cry. The doctor left at one point but the two of us still sobed. Our tears only took a break when Mitsuki went to call Masaru, and as soon as he picked up the phone our cries returned. Just days ago we laughed and smiled together, but now we cry over Inko's early departure. She didn't deserve to die. I can't imagine how Toshinori possibly feels.

An hour later the doctor returned.

"The baby has made a full recovery, Yagi Toshinori is with him in the third operation room down that hall. You both are welcome to visit them. The infant will have to stay in the hospital to monitor his health for the next few weeks." The doctor sighs but Mitsuki and I ran down the hall as soon as we knew where Toshinori was. We burst through the doors as quietly as possible.

Toshinori sat on top of a hospital bed, he was dressed in a loose sweater and was cradling an infant who's green curly hair was unusually unruly for his age. Toshinori's face was stained with tears and the smile on his face looked about ready to shatter. The baby was quiet but he wrapped his fingers around Toshinori's hair.

"I-" Toshinori starts as he watches Mitsuki and I but he begins to cry the moment his mouth opens. Mitsuki and I didn't even bat an eye as we sprinted to his side. Our hug was tight and long, we each cried on each other's shoulders.
