The sparda twins are currently having an argument while walking through an awfully long hallway little do they know they are not alone
''I still don't get it'' Dante says while he rubs the back of his head
''How? It's simple'' Vergil asks looking confused
''Well when you protect a place you're trying to avoid getting people in not the opposite'' Dante explains crossing his arms
''Well it doesn't matter if they can't get out does it?'' Vergil replies
''But what if they climb the qliphoth, that could of happend''
''But it didn't''
''But it could of-''
''It didn't i'm right you're wrong nothing more'' Vergil cuts
''Oh whatever... By the way this place really is long like unusually long''
''Now that you mention it this shouldn't trigger with me'' Vergil stopped his walk looking around in suspicion
''hehe, devil trigge-'' Dante mutters before being interrupted ''shut up'' By Vergil ''Right then what shouldn't trigger?''
''The second yet technically first defense I had. The infinite hallway with a little bit of magic and a hole in a wall lots of things can be made... That's 1 for me''
''OK THAT'S JUST NOT FAIR''
Suddenly a cythe's blade comes out of the floor missing Dante's head by nothing short of a miracle
''WOW!'' Dante shouted while backflipping in response to the attack that took him by suprise, he was used to dodge or block scissors but not a scythe
''Show yourselves!'' Vergil demanded
And so they did
3 Demons revealed themselves their robes covering their frail bodies with horrid looks en their faces and a hollow mouth while firmly grabbing their weapons
''Oh these guys... why do they look like that?'' Dante wondered at shifting appearance
''These are a part of hell's army the pride ring to be exact the weakest, ironically, most detestable of the seven army's, you are thinking of cainas they may look similar but in practice they are different'' Vergil explain
''how so?''
''You know that thing that you do when posing''
''You mean my royal guard?''
''Yes they can do that too''
''Really? They never did that be-''
Dante tried to ask before being attacked by a fourth scythe from the ceiling of the tunnel which he cought with his left arm ''Rude'' He muttered before doing
Dante took a breath after leaving the demon in the floor
''Right... exposition for later then'' Dante said before pulling out evony and ivory
I response the 3 demons scattered into the walls as vergil summoned Beowulf and moved to his brothers back. The demons loudly giggled in the walls their voices quickly moving around the walls ceiling and floor the air was tense until the first one attacked by lunching his scythe from a wall that dante blocked making it fall to the floor. And suddenly the scythe was grabbed by one of the demons beneath the floor ''(A sneak attack followed by a suprise one)''. Dante thought ''Clever'' He said before Shooting the scythe of the demon's arms ''But not clever enough'' Then as he watched the demon fall to the floor he pulled the rebellion and spinned it vertically keeping it in the air and jumped towards it and of it then he pulled out his E&I And showered bullets to the demon who in response just stayed in the floor struggling to get up and when dante got to floor he turned to the demon ''Come on buddy you can do it!'' He cheered while getting on one knee to which the demon just growls and falls back into the floor
While Dante was poking fun at the demon vergil got to fight one too, this one however was far less competent attacking straight from the ceiling to what Vergil responded with an uppercut knocking him out dissapointingly quickly ''Scum'' Vergil states as the demon fall receiving a kick while in mid air to the torso sending him to a wall ''This doesn't even count as a warm up''
''Oh c'mon bro they're doing their best right buddy?'' Dante says turning to the demon that remains motionless in the floor
''Feel no pity for them, since they're nothing but mindless puppets filled with pride''
''I don't worry about that... But where did you get those? I'm preety sure I sold those''
''Well brother a good dog always heeds the call of it's mas- Wait a moment... You sold the Beowulf?'' Vegil asks slightly concerned
''Yeah what about it?''
''You... Do understand what kind of power these posses don't you?''
''Yeah what about it?''
''Fool!''
''To be honest I didn't really bother with collecting those things'' Dante says carelessly shrugging
Vergil facepalms in response
''So, where's the third one?'' In response to this a notably bigger demon but similar in appearance to the last 2 they fought dashing from one the walls spining it's weapon like mad man in response dante dashed out of the way while vergil teleported a above it falling on his feet gracefully dodging it
The demon groans in frustration to its failed attack
''You got some preety big cojones to try and take us both alone'' Dante scoffs
''It has not'' Vergil says while summoning the yamato
Suddenly more pride's appear from the walls compleatly sorrounding them
In response Dante gets his and up ''Alright then I take it back''
''I suppose this is what you would call a 'Heart warming family reunion' is it not?'' Vergil says while slightly unsheathing the yamato with his thumb
''No food, no drinks... Yeah, just like old times'' Dante says as the sword on his back opens it's blade
Vergil chuckles as the vanguard demon tries to rush him down with it's scythe but vergil stopped it with the unsheathed part of yamato's blade. Vergil fully unsheathes the yamato grabbing the sheath and throwing it like a spear towards the demon's torso sending it back a couple of meters staggering it ''Little wanderer'' He says as the demon regains composture jumping straight to him ''Hie'' Vergil uses the yamato to split the demon's weapon to it's suprise ''Thee'' Vergil quickly slashes the demon several times before teleporting to where his sheath is picking it up and ''Ho-'' However before vergil can do that really cool thing that, every character with a katana does atleast once where they sheath the sword and the bad guy dies instantly, a bullet is delivered straight towards the vanguard's head triggering the thing before vergil can ''What the?!'' Vergil says clearly bothered by this succession of events
''WAHOO'' Dante is currently skateboarding a demon and blindly firing his pistols around him this while his 4 summon swords spin around him... You could say he was having an awesome time, but Vergil hates fun so he wasn't thrilled about it so much so that he used judgement cut to turn the skate-demon into mince meat causing dante to loose balance and trip into the next demon in line ''What the hell man!?'' Dante shouts with an uncarateristic angry look on his face
''Don't get in my way''
''How about you try to keep up?!''
''Do NOT test my patience!''
The two were about to escalate the situation before they were reminded by the rest of the demons of there current situation
''Right... I'll make quick work of them'' Vergil says while taking a step back preparing the yamato
''Not if I have anything to say about it'' Dante states while setting his sword into position for an overdrive
Both started to compite over a glorified duck hunt game ''Too slow!'' Dante said after shamelessly stealing a demon away form Vergil's cut ''You asked for this'' Vergil said while summoning swords around some of the demons ''That's a two player game little Vergil!'' Dante said while sending HIS summoning swords to the demons breaking Vergil's in the process.
It was a nice momment for the sparda twins just a nice afternoon of stylish sword swinging to be continued
