When I arrived in Montana My Cousins Jamie, Beth and Kacey gave me a hug and then we head to their Ranch called Yellowstone. I haven't been to the Ranch since I was 8 and spent the summer here. It was a far drive to their place but when we arrived I was greated by my Uncle John and my aunt Evelyn. They both gave me a hug and then I left with Beth up where my room would be. As soon as I put my stuff in my room I headed downstairs and straight to the Barn to see my horse Savannah she is a buckskin mustang and she was the first horse I ever broke in myself. Savannah is very picky about who rides and gets to touch her she only really likes me as I have earned her trust. Because no one can really touch her but me her main is really long and she still looks untamed.
I quickly head over to her years and as soon as she sees me she canters over. I slowly pat her face and gently put her halter on leading her over to the tie-up post. I then head to the stables and get my tack and put it on her. When she is all saddled up and quickly puts her bridle on and hop on her. I ride her into the massive sand Arena and start to work her, As I am riding her a group of cowboys come riding back into the yard obviously done with work for the day. I continue working Savvanah while to cowboys unsaddle their horses and then watch. I see some Barrels set up around the arena and get ready to do them not before I quickly ride over to the cowboys and hand them my phone with a timer already set on it.
"Hey, would you mind timing me please?" I asked
"sure thing" the guy replied and then I trotted away and started to barrels.

After I finish my run I walk Savannah over to the cowboy and he hands me my phone where I read my time. I am pleased with the time so decide to go unsaddle her and give her a brush. After I finish brushing her I put her in a stable and give her some dinner while I put her rugs on. I then head back up to the house and go and have a shower before it's time for dinner. I head up to my room and quickly find my clothes before heading into the on-suite and stripping while the shower starts to run. I have a shower and wash my hair before getting out and putting on some fresh clothes.
Just as I exit the bathroom I see Beth lying on my bed reading a magazine.
"oh hey, Beth what are you doing?" I asked
"oh just wanted to let you know Daddy says that diner will be ready at 6:30 pm" She replies as I sit on the bed next to her after I put my dirty clothes into my hamper.
"ok.... What else i can see you smirking behind that paper you know?" I said as i smiled and she put the book down
"ok so there is this new guy that daddy hired and he is my age and he is sooooo cute" she explains to me
"OHhh Beth has a crushhhhhhhh" I exclaim
"oh shut up we both know that you have a crush on your best friend," she said making my smile drop as my face went bright red. we both talked for about 30mins before there was a knock on the door. I get up and open it seeing that it is Kacey.
"Hey C what's up?" I asked as I let him in my room C is his nickname we are both the same age and have always been pretty close.
"Mum just told me to come and get you guys cause dinner is ready," he said and then we all headed downstairs to the dining room. we all sat at our seats a started to eat our food while listening to the conversations going on around the table.
"so Amber are you going to help with work in the morning?" John asked me
"yeah if that's ok with you," I said back to him
"of course, it's ok with me we always have use for an extra rider" he states and then we all continue to eat dinner. After I finish eating I asked to be excused
"Can I be excused?" I ask
"of course," Evelyn says
"my I use your phone please I would like to call a friend?" I asked
"of course, you can sweety there is a phone in your room you can use it anytime you don't have to ask," Evelyn says and then I leave the dining room and head back to my room. 'It was around 8:00 so Georgie should be home' i thought to myself as I walked up the stairs to my room.
When i got to my room a sat on my bed and filed the Coopers phone, After about four rings I hear Missy's voice through the phone
"Hello?" she says
"Hey Missy it's me, Amber," I said and then I heard a small scream of excitement and her yelling "ITS AMBER?!?!?!?!" making me laugh
"oh my goodness i miss you so much. What's Montana like?" she asks me
"Missy it is so beautiful my cousin's ranch is amazing and there are horses everywhere you would love it" i said and I could practically hear her smiling if that was even possible
"really that sounds like heaven to me" she said making me giggle
"guess what?" she asked me
"what?" I said back
"I am on the baseball team," she said excitedly
"OMG MISSY that is amazing I'm so proud of you," I said and then I hear a voice in the background and its Mrs cooper
"hey Sweetpea hows it going over there?" she asked
"it is really good I miss you guys though" i replied
"aww we miss you to do you want to talk to Georgie?" she asked and the smile on my face got even bigger which I didn't think was possible
"yes please"
"Hey Bambi" I hear through the phone
"hey Tatter Tott," I said back and we both laughed
"what have you been doing since I left have you been dying without me by your side?" I asked being overdramatic
"I've been fine, Sheldon has been more annoying since you left he keeps coming into my room and talking to me and I don't know how to get rid of him you always used to do that," he said sounding tired making me laugh
"aww poor Tatter Tott, You just have to put your big boy pants on and tell him to leave and if he doesn't I will tell him over the phone for you," I said laughing at the end and i also heard MIssy laughing too in the background
"ok ok I'm going to head to bed I've had a long day," he said making me sad but i understood
"ok well night then," I said and then I heard the whole Cooper Family say goodnight before they hung up.
'i miss them so much i thought to myself
